She is the best Family Practice Doctor we have ever had. She listens to her patients carefully and is available to answer any medical questions we might have. They sent me home and said I should feel better in a few days. On Monday I went to see Dr. Jaffe because I still did not feel better. She sent me for another x-ray at St. Mary's Hosp. and they found that I had pneumonia in my left lobe. She immediately put me on antibiotics and I was better in one week. I ended up walking in instead of making an appointment. Upon entry the receptionist gave us both masks, which are required in medical settings as of right now. She was friendly and got me checked in promptly. Within 5 minutes, I was taken back to a room. They took care of what I needed promptly and I was out within 30 minutes. We were the first through the door and got into the room quickly. The MA was very rude and rushed. She left the room, stood directly outside of the door and had a fifteen minute conversation with the practioner about coffee. Of which we heard every single word. I get it, we're humans they were just starting their day. But the walls are thin at least step away to have that conversation. The practioner was kind but basically said my daughter was perfectly fine. We asked if she needed to be tested for RSV and they said even she was positive they wouldn't give her anything for it. Treatment would be the same. Fast forward to today: My daughter has had the stomach flu. My husband brought her in and immediately they said they aren't in contract with access to healthcare and have never heard of the program. So I called immediately and was told that's incorrect and they are in contract. Both experiences were just frustrating. I'd go elsewhere if you can.

With Dr. Konakis, I had just that. She didn't tell me what to do, she worked with me to find a solution we were both comfortable with. I recently moved to Vegas and, as such, had to change doctors. The doctor I have here is okay, but he's nothing like she is. I miss her terribly. Two things I didn't like: the wait to see her could be weeks, unless something was really wrong (I.e. not just a check up). Not her fault, she's popular. Second, some of her office staff were frustrating. One of the receptionists is kind of mean, and it was difficult to get message to the doctor if you spoke with certain people. But those are really minor things, and completely worth dealing with.

However, he ultimately sent in the prescription for tamoxifen I had requested. I'm now starting treatment and hopeful it will help prevent further progression while I address the root cause. He listened to my concerns, reviewed my labs, and provided the medication once the additional testing was complete.
