Everything is very affordable and tasty. Vegetarian options available too. The place is luminous, welcoming and cute, with jazzy music and swings (I know!). The service is quite slow, but it's worth it. I recommend the toasts with portuguese and loaf breads, the Hulk Smoothie, the Lemon-based drink and above all, the "melhor bolo de chocolate do mundo", an incredible chocolate cake. We opted for a one scoop of chocolate since we were just sampling. Very good, not too bitter and not too sweet. Had just the right amount of flavor needed and did not taste artificial. The cone didn't taste like any regular cone, it had a light airy crisp to it. I told my husband i wanted to come back here before we left. I made good on my word and immediately came the next day. This time, there was no line and it had just opened. I got to meet the owner and he makes all the flavors right in the shop. I asked to sample the coffee and bueno flavor and they were amazing! (Yes i was a fatty and got 2 scoops). The prices are very reasonable and they don't skimp on the amount of gelato they give per scoop. Its located in the old town of Lagos. Considering everything is made on the premises, I think these are more than reasonable prices. I went for the strawberry in a cone, which was delicious, with real strawberry pieces. Be quick before it melt all over your hand though! I tried some of the other half's mint chocolate chip but it's not a flavour I would personally go for, though they were very generous with the chocolate chips. Always worth stopping off at - I'd recommend eating your purchase on the benches near the rocks at the beach. Holiday perfection.

Honestly, we initially chose this restaurant mainly because the bathrooms were wheelchair accessible (my mom has trouble walking). The waitress was so nice and helpful that we decided to eat there for lunch. It wasn't busy because we were there during the low season but even so there was plenty of (shaded and sheltered) seating available. Sitting in a bit of shade, in a light breeze from the Atlantic Ocean, we had a very enjoyable lunch consisting of shrimp in garlic and a pizza di Campo (thin crust, salami, onion, mushroom and pesto). It took about 20ish minutes for the food to come out but when you are sitting on a comfortable sunlit terrace, in an old Portuguese town, watching people stroll by on the cobblestone streets, with the dim sounds of the ocean waves breaking in the background, you tend not to be in a hurry. Our food was pretty good, better than I would have expected from a restaurant we kind of randomly chose. They offer a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas. The desert menu also looked very enticing and they apparently make their own gelato. Unfortunately, we were too full to try it. Solid four stars, maybe even five stars, if the gelato lives up to its promise in the future. We would definitely consider coming back!
