to put it clearly- I could not have done it without Dana and the Mitzvah Sisters Team. They walked me thru every step, every single detail, dotted every I and T and made the what could have been a stressful experience so much fun. They thought of details I would have glossed over, caught my mistakes, and added so much JOY to the process. My daughters Bat Mitzvah tuned out EXACTLY how we had envisioned and all I had to do was show up and enjoy the time with my family and friends. SO may people commented that it was the most beautiful reception they had ever seen. I will miss working with them but have already asked for their services for my younger daughter. THANK YOU SO MUCH! read more

Dana was an integral part of my wedding in April, and I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. She was by my side, picking out the most lovely linens, finding the best spot on the winery to hold the reception, and so much more. She was great at the timing of everything and keeping things organized (things I'm not good at). If you're looking for a calm professional with great taste, I'd highly recommend Dana at Mitzvah Sisters. read more

Dana and Marni really made our lives easy! The job they did was perfect - they worked behind the scenes to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch, and they succeeded. My wife and I had a Jewish wedding in Camarillo, CA at a great outdoor venue called Maravilla Gardens. We needed an event planner to take care of the details, bring vendors together, and ask the questions that we didn't even know needed asking. The wedding industry and planning process is daunting, to say the least, and we would have been lost without them! They really took a leadership role, and our wedding was all the better for it. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for events I may have upcoming in the near, or not-so-near, future. read more

When I called Mitzvah Sisters to see if they were free to help with my sons Bar Mitzvah 7 weeks before the event they jump into action. Not only did they execute quickly and efficiently- they planned the most perfect event. I called with literally no idea what we wanted other than in our yard and a brunch. Dana worked with me to design a warm, garden party atmosphere that felt more special than 'just a backyard brunch'. She worked with me and made a ton of suggestions to make the day more fun and festive. Thanks to her we had an amazing magician that wowed everyone and a Unique and fun candy 'March madness' game. Everything about the planning was easier thanks to them. The professionals they use are respectful, trustworthy and dependable. oh and did I mention it rained in the morning?!? They swiftly moved the service inside into our living room. they got everything done and allowed me to focus on my son before his big day. i literally would use them for every event I had to throw. Dana and Marni made our wedding day "the best day ever"! My husband and I started the planning process 9 months out and they held our hands every step of the way. They were responsive, detail oriented, organized, and knowledgable about all things wedding. It felt comforting to know they have so much experience in event planning, especially with Jewish weddings, since it can all be so overwhelming. With Dana and Marni's help, we ended up choosing Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo for our venue. We actually saved money by hiring them, as they kept us within our budget by letting us know what we should splurge on and what we could save on. Dana and Marni (the Mitzvah Sister!) planned our wedding and I can't say enough about how incredible they are! All of the details were so perfectly handled starting with helping us to find the perfect venue (we settled on Temescal Gateway Park right outside of Santa Monica off Temescal Canyon). We had looked all over Los Angeles before finding this gem. They also helped us coordinate everything from the flowers to the food. Best of all the wedding itself was so smooth and easy, I wasn't stressed at all, and was just able to enjoy the day. They both have that amazing combination of being so warm and kind, and also just getting things done! I've had friends who used them for Bar Mitzvahs too and those were great as well. Basically, if you are planning any event, do yourself a favor and call them now! read more

Dana and Marni are amazing! They're always smiling and even tempered, and helped us pull off a perfect bar mitzvah for our son at Tiato in Santa Monica. From working with the with in-house catering manager to finding the best vendor options for everything from rentals to party swag, we were in great hands. As we got closer to the event, Dana worked tirelessly to make sure that our vendor's schedules were all lined up and in sync with the venue timeline. Dana was amazing. We used the Mitzvah Sisters to help plan and coordinate our twins' bnai mitzvah at the Brentwood Country Club. Dana was on top of everything, keeping us on track and making everything as smooth and seamless as possible. Unobtrusive but always present, Dana made us feel like we had absolutely nothing to worry about. She followed through on every detail, offered helpful suggestions and didn't laugh at our harebrained ideas. She had an amazing rapport with everyone we dealt with, always getting what she (and we) wanted in the calmest, most respectful and effective way. We could not recommend them more highly! read more

Having the opportunity to hire Dana from Mitzvah Sisters is one of the best decisions I made. She was able to bring to life the party we had envisioned in our heads and then some! From her even keel manner and her excellent and creative suggestions, Dana always shared her enthusiasm for our even finding and delivering what we wanted. Our daughter's Bat Mitzvah was beyond special. It was truly a night we will remember forever as she helped to make it the perfect blend of elegance and fun! From the flower vendor to the DJ to the activities she suggested, each were incredibly professional and offered top notch services. But I think one of the highlights for me was that between the service and the reception I was able to relax and catch my breath knowing that Dana and her team were handling everything. There were even couple of small hiccups at the venue that I didn't even know about because she took care of them so discreetly. And her timeline was spot on allowing the flow of the evening to feel perfectly paced and seamless. Bravo to Dana and the Mitzvah Sisters team! I hope anyone planning a milestone celebration has the chance to work with them. read more
