I did end up leaving the school my sophomore year because their softball team wasn't the best when I was there so I dropped my transfer and headed back to Franklin but I will always appreciate the time I had at Coronado!

There aren't a lot of seats, but enough for the crowd. I felt badly for the players as they were facing the sun the whole game. The bathroom is in the school, so it's a little walk if you need to use the facilities. For a nice place to watch softball, give this school a try.

As many families in the community already know, Brown Middle School has struggled with ongoing bullying issues that do not seem to be meaningfully resolved. I'm sure many students have a positive experience there. But if your child does not easily fit into the category of "most kids," I genuinely encourage you to proceed with caution and advocate early and often. Our experience left us feeling unheard, unsupported, and emotionally exhausted. And with the district already facing significant budget issues and anticipated staffing cuts next year, I worry deeply about how students who need additional support will be affected moving forward.

This is one of the best things about El Paso...the community cares and takes the time to show what makes them proud of their city! I loved that my kids saw how much the campuses supports each other since we were selling for Tippin Elementary. The Brown campus is big! The shape is like an airplane and it's 2 stories, they have a huge awesome cafeteria decorated in my opinion like Simpsons land with cute fronts and diner style booths. They have a large gym with volleyball at the moment utilizing it and a CrossFit program! The most impressive to me was the STEM program in the new tech hall. They have group classes and a fab lab with Lego robotics and several 3D print labs. This is definitely a school that invests in their students future. It's also the only EPISD STEM certified middle school (6-8 grades) that enables them to earn college credits. They also have the program in dual language as well. We are definitely happy that this is another great option for our kiddos and had no idea that all this exists since we just started our schooling journey. So glad our tax dollars show up in the state of the art classes and curriculum. And it all started with a box of chocolates..."you never know what you're gonna get".

I was most impressed how attentive, caring, patient and compassionate all their Staff was on the first day of school. Let's state I was new to everything and I needed lots of help. Everyone listened and direct me to the right offices. They made the 1st day of school go from stressing to a breeze and I am thankful. Their parking lot is ample. As a parent you check-in at the front office and they will check your ID so bring it in. Nurse is also very attentive and assertive.

All the teachers were great. The best I had were Mrs. Solo (now retired) and Mrs. Ereng. The school itself had many clubs and activities that you could join such as: student council, gay straight alliance, a video game club, yearbook, newspaper, band, orchestra, theatre, and many sports teams. When I got cancer my senior year, they were also very helpful in getting me what I needed and support so that I could still graduate with my class!
