These were the arrangements I worked out in advance with the school administrators. What resulted was one of the most delightful weeks of my life. I had three superb teachers, who taught in three different ways. Hours flew. I progressed to the point of realizing I could have simple conversations. Language Plus made me feel welcome when I was far from home. They offered an option of living with a family during the week, and I took that option. As a result I met and spent time with a life-changing family that welcomed and included me in their amazing lives. In addition, administrators at Language Plus offer warm hospitality as well as information and guidance. Language Plus was the perfect place for me to get a first firm toehold in a language that means a lot to me. I highly recommend Language Plus.

We loved the program and made a lot of progress with our Spanish!! Initally, we were going to go to another country to study, but at the last minute, our plans changed. We were definitely not disappointed. In the mornings, we took a group class; the afternoons were devoted to individual study. Each of us had his own teacher, and the material for the independent study was tailored to exactly what we wanted (in this case medical Spanish), and based on our skill levels. We had three instructors in all, and each was knowledgeable, fun, and made the classes interesting. All three had different teaching styles, which we really enjoyed. Our home stay was arranged by Steve, the director, and could not have been better. The family with whom we stayed was so nice and fun, and they really gave us an outstanding experience. The accomodations were more than we could have asked for, complete with wonderful food! Toward the end of our week in El Paso, we walked to Ciudad Juarez for an authentic Mexican lunch, of course with the challenge that if we didn't order in Spanish, we would not eat! It was a wonderful experience with our instructor as our guide. I highly recommend Language Plus to anyone who wants to have dedicated, caring teachers who will tailor the experience to your needs. Even school tutoring wasn't doing it. So we tried Slyvain and this worked out the best. After a few months, my daughter caught up in what she missed out on. She did well in the last semester and started the new school year acing everything. She took some time off from tutoring, but she is back to help her reinforce some weak areas and prepare for next year. I recommend bringing your child here to catch up on what your child missed due to COVID. It will be well worth it.
