Order food as early as possible, it can take a while to arrive! Food is excellent, well worth the wait. Mango Crayfish salad is better than Baghdad Cafe in San Francisco ;-)

Small plates - salt and pepper squid, scotch egg, poutine.

Very attractive and well maintained pub. Food was wonderful. My wife and I shared the steak and ale pie, pepper squid, poutine, and a scotch egg. Presentation was fantastic. The poutine and pie were good, the egg and squid were awesome. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this establishment in March/April 2015, and I left thinking things could have been better. The room was quant, the bathroom was suburb, endless hot water, and the night porter was a VERY hospitable individual. There was one lady, who's customer service skills were sorely lacking, that we had to deal with her during the day that make my experience subpar. There were issues with the wifi, and we could only use it on the ground floor. The ladies who assisted with the continental breakfast were cheery and had excellent customer service skills.

If you're looking for a decent, inexpensive lunch with a family/dog friendly atmosphere & excellent service then this is the place to come.

Not bad for watching the football. They even sometimes manage to have both games on if it's a Champions League night. Food is ok too.

Yum! My husband and I came here for dinner tonight as our first stop in London. After spending all…read moreday traveling, we were thrilled with the drink selection. The Merlot was delicious! We ordered onion rings to start, the breading on them was amazing! It was light and crispy as opposed to being heavy and greasy like a lot of onion rings. I also loved the curry ketchup that came with them. I'm not generally a curry fan, but it definitely worked with this dish. My husband got fish and chips. The fish was perfectly fried and the tarter sauce was obviously house made because it tasted very fresh and lemony. The chips were fine, but unremarkable in my opinion. For my meal, I ordered pumpkin walnut gnocchi. It was delicious! Just enough pumpkin without being overpowering. There was quite a bit of kale (I think it was kale, the menu didn't say) that came with the dish. It was very good, but probably could have been dialed back a little. The service was friendly and prompt. Definitely a great way to start our London vacation!

The establishment has a nice mixture of cozy and airy, which was perfect for a lazy(ish) Sunday. I hate to use this word, but I'll use it anyway (because I can't think of a better descriptor): the service here is "super" friendly, and very knowledgeable, particularly regarding the ales on tap. The barkeep gave us a few sample pours without waiting for us to ask, which we greatly appreciated. Because of that, we were more than happy with the pints we ordered. Moving on to the food: the roasts were delicious, in particular the pork loin, which was moist and flavorful. I enjoyed my roast beef as well. The Yorkshire pudding was wonderful and I might have been just as happy eating that alone for my meal, to be honest. The pub is in walking distance of the touristy areas of Greenwich, so it's easy enough to put some good food in your belly and continue on to your sightseeing, afterward.
