Based on yelp recommendations, I tried to use a local source for purchasing parts for my trailer. They knew exactly what I was describing over the phone, but unfortunately, they didn't have it in stock. The guy on the phone apologized more than once for not having the part, and was nice enough that I would definitely try them again when I have tire or wheel issues. read more

Wow. I rated a 3 star but I'm changing to a one. Manager guys come out and tells me not to come back for a 3 star review. These people are joke. Take you business else where. Harassing a customer because YOU can't ruin your business efficiently. Really shows your true colors. I came in not once but twice to get my oil changed (30 minute job). Left the first time due to a 2 hour wait. Ridiculous. Came back the next day and still waited an hour a half. Then I call the manger and he says "don't you think it's rude to leave a review while you're still there?" The common sense of these people is missing. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. Literally so slow for no reason. Will wait until you pay to tell you it's over an hour wait. Don't keep records of anything. I would go somewhere else. read more

I've stopped in a handful of times for things like an oil change, odometer inspection on a car I was titling, and for brakes. The service was always prompt and the employees were always professional. I never felt like I was being "upsold" or pressured and the pricing has been competitive. I'll definitely be back anytime I need tires or service. read more

BEWARE!! Took my truck in to get a safety inspection. I was told that I needed a new brake caliper, new rotors, new brake pads and a front wheel hub assembly in order to pass inspection. Total cost was going to be $932. I was skeptical, so I took the truck to another shop. They said the brakes were in good condition and passed the truck. It is disappointing that Mitchem would attempt to take advantage of people in order to make money. Fortunately, I was wise enough to see through the fraud. read more

this is one of those auto mechanic stores that you know sticks to its roots. THEY WILL NOT RIPP YOU OFF, again they won't. The vibe I get from this place is a blessed, honest, and family oriented one. I went in for my brakes and when they checked them, they told me everything was ok and the only problem was rust buildup. Of course, even though I expected to be charged I was not. I know any other mechanic store would have looked at this as a golden oppurtunity to take advantage. believe me, theres plenty in Springfield. This is one of those mechanic stores that you can trust. Prices aren't inflated and if there's something that needs to be charged, they will personally come to you and explain it. I got my oil change here recently and it was way cheaper than Toyota's. Great team over there. They're always busy, but they squeezed me into their schedule to do a safety inspection. They did it in 30 minutes and had me on my way. Helpful staff. Mitchem performed a tire rotation for me and checked a tire that has a nail in it. Not able to fix the nail but that's okay.

105$ to dismount a set of tires! Wow make sure you shop around before going here I didn't ask there prices before I had them dismount a set of tires and was going to have them mount them on different wheels with new Tpms sensors $65 apiece for tpms sensors okay whatever. My bill came up to $405 I said sorry I didn't know it was that much I'll have to come back but they already had the wheels dismounted and my bill was still still $105 to dismount a set of tires. I respectfully paid it and I knew I'd been got but when I told my friends the they proceeded to make jokes and tell my about all the shops that would dismount for free. How is it 105 to dismount and $40 to mount?? And the tires and wheels weren't even on the truck! It's been a while but I've always gone to them I guess that's what I get for assuming. I tried Mitchum Tire today for the first time after hearing a great verbal review about them from someone I recently bought a car from. I was not disappointed. The staff is extremely professional and kind. The waiting area is clean and the tv shows they had on would be appropriate for any age audience. The owner was even helping out, working in the garage helping the staff when they got busy so customers would not be waiting too long. I'm also particular about vibrations and the tire balance that was done by them originally is excellent. Very smooth ride at highway speeds. I had my tires rotated today and a state inspection. I have bought tires from these folks before. They are courteous fair and always try to work with you anyway they can. I reccomend them.

Worst customer service that I have had in a long time. Went in after 9 months of buying 4 new tires and the back 2 were completely bald. I brought the car in to see if the tires would still be under warranty. They said they would check it out. I left my car there as I had to go to work. When they called back, they said the tires were not under warranty because I didn't rotate them (the tires only has 12,000 miles them. Standard rotation is every other oil change, which in my Charger would be 12,000 miles). They also did an alignment without my approval and then tried to charge me $85 for the alignment and $141, a "prorated" rate for 2 new back tires, the same as they put on before. When I questioned the warranty, they said that if I didn't like it take it straight to Firestone. So I did. Firestone on West Sunshine not only replaced my two back tires for free but also suggested a different tire which will be more suited for my car. I decided to call Mitchem back to report what Firestone had done for me, the co-owner said that they were not able to give me two new tires because they are independent dealer. Firestone also told me that my alignment was still off in the front. So I also told the co-owner of Mitchem that information as well so other customers wouldn't be in the same situation that I was in. However he didn't believe that his machines were off on their calibration. I then tried to explain to him how the numbers on the alignment were off and he said, "Well you are talking a foreign language to me". Uhhhhh, wouldn't one want to at least understand the concept of an alignment in the shop that you co-own? He finally asked me, "Exactly what do you want from me", and I had to say, "Sir, I want nothing from you, I'm just trying to tell you how I was treated by one of your employees". He said, "She did nothing wrong and had more patience than I would have". As he finished his statement, I thought in my head, now I know where she gets her crappy attitude from. I will have to say the good that came from this is the employees at Firestone on West Sunshine know what customer service is and they now have a lifetime customer for helping me. Very rude employees. Refused to pass an inspection because they wanted to sell me tires. When I protested I know another shop that would pass it they told me to take it there then. Won't ever be back. I suggest everyone else go somewhere that knows how to at least be polite. read more

I have used Mitchem twice now. I didn't know one could have such affordable oil changes. But when my dealership told me I needed $600 of service work, Mitchem contacted my cars manufacturer and found out what really needed done. Cost me less than $150! read more

I wouldn't ever go back here or tell anyone to go here! I had two oil changes here. The first time oil plug wasn't tightened and it was leaking bad.. I made the mistake of going back to Mitchem tire a second time; thinking of it was a honest mistake... The second oil change I left with my tire being FLAT and the mileage sticker for me to get my next oil change was 40,000 miles off!!! My car has a sensor for low air pressure and it was saying to check my tires right when I left Mitchem tire. I put air in my tire that was flat and It was fine; which makes me think that someone just leaked air out of my back passage tire. I wouldn't notice if my air pressure sensor on my dash told me. The manage even got mad when I told him what happened on both accounts and was unprofessional. read more
