All of their sauces and dressings are made fresh from scratch, and they were very helpful and cheerful while changing a meal to accommodate my gluten free, dairy free grandchild! The first time I tried their food truck I was hooked. Once I realized they have a location in Delphi, I was super excited. Everything from their burritos to their salads are delicious! Their southwest salad is my favorite. Don't forget to ask for taco sauce to complete your meal. If you haven't tried this place you are missing out big time! Delphi's first drive-in, Smitty's Tacos is a family-run business. This a fun place to go is located in a little 1930's looking vintage gas station building. The building is small and there is not much in the way of seating inside, but the atmosphere is huge. I fell in love with it the first time I went. The owners know everyone who comes in, tv is going with a soap or something interesting. The owners love people and it shows. You can see them working on your order as it is being prepared. Portions are generous. They have outdoor seating, but most people get their meals for carry-out. This is not "fine dining", but it is fun and quirky and reasonably priced. I've been going to Smitty's for over 20 years. I'm headed there for lunch tomorrow! UPDATE: Since last visit, Smitty's has changed hands, and is now called Mitchell's Mexican Grill. The place has had a major sprucing up but was essentially the same place I have loved for years. A nice new addition to the menu is the Arnold Palmer, a half and half mix of lemonade and iced tea. I am going to be honest. The food is good for the money. I can't think of many places this affordable where the food is this good. But it kills me half the time I go over there they are closed. They need more hours of operation. Closed every Sunday all day? Maybe they are religious but I would have bought a crunch wrap about 5 Sunday's in a row now. Disappointing customer service! I picked up Mitchell's on October 18. I realized my order was wrong when I got home after a 20 minute drive. Since I paid using my Square registered credit card, I received an email asking about my visit. I responded and indicated the issues with my order. After submitting my comments, Mitchell's followed up with me via Square with some questions about my order, apologized for it being incorrect, and let me know they would refund my purchase. I understand mistakes happen. Never did I even request a refund, but since they promised a refund, I think they should honor that promise. To date, I still haven't received a refund. I even emailed the contact us address listed on their website on December 2 to ask about the status of the refund. No response. Why even follow up or ask for feedback if you aren't going to honor what YOU proposed to make it right?!? Promising a refund then not refunding the purchase was worse than the order just being messed up on the first place!!! read more

I have a number of food allergies and dietary restrictions. As usual, I contacted the restaurant in advance to discuss possibilities. I spoke with Patty and she was incredibly helpful checking ingredients and providing suggestions. She even offered a plan to be able to be served unseasoned meat.
