I've been left to dispute the charges with my bank. Absolutely appalled with his lack of professionalism. I reported him to the board of behavioral sciences. Someone like this has likely done this many times before and got away with it. DO NOT attempt to pay him with Zelle! He is obligated by his license to have another way for you to pay him. Posting here so hopefully no one else makes the same mistake I did. Highly unprofessional. Don't trust this man.

I've been using their online counseling services for several months now, and I am so pleased with the quality of therapy I receive. I was scared to even look for counseling/therapy because I don't have health insurance and I know it can be so expensive. I looked at betterhelp (which is unaffordable for your average person) talkspace, growtherapy etc and none of them were offering what I was looking for, which was counseling that is effective and affordable. The best part is I get to do therapy from my couch so I never even have to leave the house because I am chronically late to almost everything. (I'm working on that lol) My therapist, Miss Sukhai Kah, always makes me feel heard and understood. I am incredibly grateful for her and Life Source. I'm learning to communicate and overcome past traumas with her help. I don't always look forward to therapy, because let's be real, therapy is difficult and learning about yourself isn't easy. But even after the toughest sessions with my therapist, I always feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders, and I can't thank these people enough.

I attended this facility when I was 17. While a few staff members were genuinely kind and caring,…read moremy overall experience was incredibly negative. One resident had oral herpes, and despite concerns about hygiene and boundaries, staff allowed behavior that made many of us uncomfortable, including intentionally touching shared items after being asked not to. It created an environment where residents felt unsafe. What disturbed me the most was how my abusive relationship was handled. I was a minor involved with someone who was nearly 20 years old, and the warning signs were obvious. Instead of recognizing the grooming and abuse, I was encouraged to continue living with him once I turned 18. Looking back, it's deeply upsetting that so many adults working in mental health failed to recognize or intervene in such a serious situation. My therapist also behaved unprofessionally. She would cry during our sessions and tell me that my abusive relationship reminded her of her own first love. Later, she disappeared during work, returned about an hour later, and told the residents that the job was "too hard on her mentally." That experience left me feeling unsupported and uncertain about whether I could trust the people who were supposed to help me. I understand that recovery requires personal effort, and no treatment center can do the work for you. However, I left this program in a much worse place than when I arrived. Years later, I still have nightmares about being there. The only positive thing I took away from my stay was a lasting friendship with another resident. Unfortunately, that was the one bright spot in an experience that I believe failed me when I needed competent, professional care the most.

I went through an extremely stressful time in 2021 over custody of my then 12 year old son…read more Concerned over his well being and at the behest of my attorney I took him to see the most qualified therapist I could find. My attorney gave me a list of court approved therapists and I called each one on the limited list on the only day off work I had, which was Labor Day. Jacob answered her phone and after talking to her about my son, I felt comfortable about bringing him in. I did not ask her what she charged nor did she tell me. I find out later from another therapist that ethically she was supposed to tell me what she charged. I didn't ask what she charged because my son is more important, thought someone taking calls on Labor Day was a good thing and if I could find someone who could get him to open up and talk, it was worth it. Fast forward to bringing him in to see Jacob. I signed the intake form that included payment information for first session, which included my credit card number and billing info. We had the hourlong session, where my son went into how he distrusted therapists. By the end of the session Jacob asked me for payment in front of my son, cash, in the same room as our session despite the fact I had written my credit card information on the form. Maybe she thought my credit card info was bad who knows but I paid her in cash that day, with my son present because she didn't have the couth to do this out of sight from my son. The entire way home he repeated in the car, "why did you pay the therapist two-hundred-and-fifty dollars why?" Session was 4-5pm so not only did I lose more than I made a day working full-time at a stressful job I absolutely abhorred at the time, amid upcoming court hearings, custody battle, my son who was already upset with me because he was gaslit and lied to for years before I got him through court order in 2021 but I had to deal with choosing the wrong therapist. The journey of my son understanding what happened and relearning who his mother is came from us reconnecting, not by any therapist, and certainly not from Susan Jacob. That experience was horrendous I made it a point to revisit this again when I had time to write my experience so no one else has to go through what I did from seeing her. The therapist I saw in 2022 at UCI Focus that the court had me see free of cost told me 2 things in 2022 when I officially received full custody of my son: 1) that Jacob behaved unethically by not telling me her hourly rate before session and could be reported to the Board, and 2) after talking about what has happened since 2018 it was clear to him I didn't need therapy. Thank God. Complete waste of money - I'm writing this to save yours.
