What I've got was a leaf loose tea in a pot, not some "Indian road dust" AKA Barry's or Lyons tea. No offence Irish, but them teas are a byproduct when making decent tea, let's just say left overs. There are ample sitting spaces in the main shop as well as upstairs. They also serve food like tapas, sandwiches, and other snacks. There's even an expresso bar. The best part is that because they are a wine bar you may request a complimentary sample of a wine and then purchase the bottle and drink it right there. Many wines are even 20% off or right around €10 for a bottle. We stopped in because it was raining but ended up finishing the whole bottle and even contemplated getting a second bottle but the weather had cleared so we were off to continue our sight seeing. The guys generally pick a selection of wines to put on special in the centre of the floor, generally around the €10 mark, and they change frequently: for example, during the summer, you're likely to find some fruity barbecue wines on offer. Advice is available if, like me, you don't know much about your wines, and they're more than happy to steer you towards value-for-money rather than try to upsell. As a beer man myself, Kelly's is miles better than the other local off-licence. They stock all the usual suspects in an open fridge, but they also have an excellent selection of quality imports such as Flensburger, Baltika, Spaten, etc. They stock some good Irish brews as well, and regularly have five for €10 on some of the good European beers. Better selection, better staff, and good deals. What more could you want? While you could probably find better bargains on mass-produced plonk in Tesco's or similar, these guys have a great selection and know their stuff. As a small local business, they do an outstanding job serving their customers, too. And if you need it, they can sort out your party needs with glass hire, too.

I had a Caprese Salad with buffalo mozarella and thick tomato slices. My friend went for their signature salad and we both where more than happy. I had a glas of South African Chenin Blanc and ended up buying a bottle of it later in the attached shop. We both felt for another treat afterwards so I went for a scone - not often you get one with clotted cream! - and my friend had a passion fruit muffin. Again we were both very happy. I love the concept of having a leisurely lunch in a cafe that is attached to a very well stocked shop that has wines from around the world but also a very decent selection of craft beer. So you can even taste some of their wines or beers with your food. But they also offer to taste their wines before you buy them. Not sure if that goes for all of them. I was a bit in heaven in the shop. Not often that I have seen such a very good selection and variety from around the world in Ireland before I think. I'll definitely will be back. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about what they are selling and, honestly, they couldn't be friendlier. For instance, I was emotionally distraught and conflicted on which whiskey to take home. They offered my wife and I taste test and spoke to us about each bottle and its associated flavor profile. The best was that they didn't try to sell me on anything, it was a genuine conversation. Excellent customer service! Overall, I walked out of there, mission accomplished, with a great experience, two bottles of whiskey, and about five small sample bottles for a little under €200. Side note: they also have a small selection of good cigars if you're in the mood. Enjoy!

The shop is in fact Goggins off-licence, a small but well stocked affair with some beer but mostly wine and a few mixers and snacks.
