I was going to start this review by stating that I spend quite a lot of time in wine shops and therefore I can spot a good one but of course that probably suggests that I drink a lot of wine which of course is totally untrue....erm... well, when I say totally untrue that's probably overstating it a bit... look, I'm writing myself into a corner here, let's just say I am partial to a glass now and again.
On then to Nectar, a new wine shop... well, I thought it was and then realised I hadn't been in Sandyford Village for quite some time... Nectar has been here for all of 4 years now.
The shop boasts an impressive array of wines, not really concentrating on any particular country or region but has a healthy new world selection and while rooting through the shelves found something I deem to be quite exciting - a fortified Australian shiraz (Kalleske), effectively an Australian Port. At 25Euro a bit pricey for an impulse buy but I will certainly be back before Christmas go grab one or two!
