Fresh peaches straight from the orchard- when in season. Easy "pickings" when going through their line at the processing dock.

Mitcham Farms is a Ruston staple, and it's those fond childhood memories that added the third star onto my review. The first two were given because of the excellent customer service we received when buying our peaches outside, and the delicious peaches themselves. Now, let me tell you about the store. Don't waste your time. The ice cream isn't that good, the items are overpriced, and the ladies don't want to be bothered to help you or let you purchase your items without serious attitude. I'm from out of town and heard so much about this place. I took 4 grandkids and we all got the peach ice cream. We did enjoy it. When I asked about buying peaches I was told no they did not have any to sell. Maybe this afternoon. We just drove through the orchard? We're are the peach's. Bit hey. I'm not from here so I figured I didn't understand and let it go. As we are sitting outside eating ice cream I watch as people were going in the store and walking out with bags of peaches. I asked a lady " hey you bought peaches in there ? " her answer was yes but I had to beg for them. I told my grandkids we will buy some somewhere else. I don't appreciate or understand why we weren't able to buy peaches. read more

Website states, "Our hours are seasonal, so please call ahead." Called the number and asked if they were open today, since we are coming from out of town on a Saturday (first time customers and excited to try their peaches). Woman responds in the most condescending tone "I wouldn't be answering the phone if we weren't open." Ok lady, thanks for saving us a trip. Never again, and spreading the word. read more

We had to call for hours to the peach store and arrived on a Saturday morning. Got some of the best peaches I've ever had - a small bushel for $6 and 3 peach ice creams from the peach store. My friend said it was the best ice cream he's ever had and was his favorite place on his visit to Ruston. The best part is the view of the orchards. Sit on your car and enjoy an ice cream. This is truly a GEM of a place to go if you enjoy fresh picked peaches,preserves, and all things PEACHES!!! You will eat your head off! Peach season is in late May and ends early summer. You can get a pre packed bags of peaches or a basket full; if that is your option. The peaches are fresh and reasonable for the quantity of fruit you receive. Besides Louisiana Tech, Mitcham Farms is a wonderful place for fresh fruit! read more

The best peaches you will ever find! And you can't buy them anywhere else! Their Peach Store has a lot of cool stuff too. Preserves, mixes, tons of stuff. I loved the peach daiquiri mix. Follow the directions on the package but I used Malibu rum in it and a few fresh peaches. Yummy! read more
