I was enamored with the variety of honey options available. I've never seen such exquisite jars of honey. I means there was honey infused with chiles, ginger honey, turmeric honey and New Zealand Rata honey. The Manuka honey was the only brand that costs over $30. It's great to find natural food grocers these days...to avoid all of the chemicals in mainstream food products. The service was great, with very friendly people and a good atmosphere. I think I'm going to revisit before leaving and buy some of that honey. Highly recommend!

It's a small and cozy Mexican grocery store that also serves food. We used to live in Houston, so…read morewhen I first walked in, it honestly gave me a little bit of that Houston feeling. We decided to come back another day to actually dine in and try the food. There was a lady in the dining area was the server, but it seemed like she couldn't really speak English, so we ended up waiting for a while for the guy at the cashier to come take our order. The price is definitely on the pricier side. I forgot to take a picture of the menu, but for what we ordered, I felt like the portions were pretty small for the price. My husband got 2 fajitas and 2 lengua tacos, while I got the steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas. My fajitas were decent, and I'll give them that for having fresh vegetables, but the meat was cut into such small pieces that it kind of felt like scraps. We're not Mexican, so I can't really speak on how authentic it is, but my husband's friends actually stopped by right after us, tried the food, and said pretty much the same thing! I actually love the grocery store itself. It's small but has SO much stuff, including things you wouldn't expect, and their fresh products are great. The only other thing I didn't really like was the checkout situation. Nobody came by to check on us when we were done eating, so we had to wait in the regular grocery checkout line to pay. Since we weren't holding any groceries, a bunch of people kept cutting in front of us without asking. I really hope they can improve this part because it was pretty frustrating. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for Mexican groceries. The food was good, but I don't think I'd come back specifically to dine in.

FIRST VISIT & NOT THE LAST VISIT …read more.. They had two specials to choose from with several side options. Today I opted for the chicken with artichoke and spinach with a side of roasted potatoes and bok choy. The portion size is definitely suitable for one and possibly even two. It was absolutely delicious, seasoned very well. As I said, in the beginning, this will not be the last time I visit. Everyone was kind and answered my questions with enthusiasm. They also have a store front with many pasture raised, vegan, vegetarian, and organic food options. Off to the side, they had a dining area if you want to sit and enjoy your meal; I opted to take mine to go. Don't skip out or miss out on this jewel in our downtown Alley area of West Monroe.

Today we ordered the egg roll in a bowl with the kale salad. The entree could have been hotter temperature wise. Flavor was good but not really special or interesting. Would still eat here again but have had better experiences here in the past for sure.

I know now I should have asked for their definition of a Dobasche cake before ordering. I could not be in town for my mother's 90th birthday, so I wanted to have a special cake made for her birthday. The first two were given because of the excellent customer service we received when buying our peaches outside, and the delicious peaches themselves. Now, let me tell you about the store. Don't waste your time. The ice cream isn't that good, the items are overpriced, and the ladies don't want to be bothered to help you or let you purchase your items without serious attitude. The air felt hostile. As much as I love their peaches, I will drive to East Texas next time.
