I was on vacation in St. Simons and a muscle injury making walking painful flared up and I needed relief. I found Misty's Element Massage and its rave reviews on Yelp. I was easily able to book an appointment online for the next morning, at 10:00 the night before, for a sports massage. The staff at the front desk could not have been more professional and friendly when I checked in and only had to wait just a few minutes for Charlene, my masseuse to be ready. The facility is spotless, meticulously maintained, and COVID conscious. My masseuse, Charlene, was unbelievable. She stretched my problem areas, really worked through the tightness and stiffness in my entire body, focusing on the injured leg. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is probably the best massage I ever had. I walked out of there feeling so much better, and it was the first time in weeks without a limp on the affected leg. While I can't speak for everyone at Mistys, Tina was fantastic. While in town on vacation, I decided to get a massage and Misty's worked out great. I was able to check out services and book an appointment online, which is always great. The location is easy to get to and as stated, Tina was fantastic. There are few times when I go for a massage at a new place that I would absolutely request the same masseuse in the future, but I definitely would in Tina's case. She was mindful of the pressure and potential trouble spots. She used some interesting techniques that I've never seen before and it's evident that she really cares about the effect that she has on your body. I booked 3 couples massages for myself and 5 family members while on vacation. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to massages and have high expectations. I was not disappointed. In fact, this was by far one of the best massages I've had! I had Kacey who did an amazing job of balancing relaxation with therapy. My mom and sister had her too and both said she was amazing! My mom has some back issues and felt her pain disappear after her massage. My brother in law had Estelle and said his massage was "epic". It was so good, he is going back tomorrow, lol! I scheduled a deep tissue massage with less than 24 hours notice after a rough week at FLETC. I was knotted up, sore and generally feeling terrible. Deyana worked out all my knots and found some I didn't even knew were there. To say she's a miracle worker simply doesn't do her justice. I made the right decision! Each week, I had a massage with Tina and she was just fantastic! She paid special attention to the parts of my body that hurt, she found several additional trouble spots that I didn't realize existed and, best of all, she managed her time so well that she was able to give me a thorough, in depth massage in just 60 minutes. For the last massage, I treated myself to 90 minutes, which was definitely the way to go, but even in 60 minutes, Tina can work wonders! read more

After the massage the therapist stood in front of me and asked how much gratuity I wanted to put on top of the $95. Already expensive but demanding more was just plain greedy. And it was a bad massage, No pressure. And she never asked about the pressure. Before we started I asked her to use her elbows on each side of my spine but she didn't do it. Got the feeling she had never done that before. It was my first time encountering a therapist that shouldn't be in the business. Given the price and Misty's ratings as a therapist, I was expecting more and felt mis-led into thinking I had made a good decision to go there. Now I know why her schedule was wide open; be forewarned. Its obvious the best massage work there is done by the owner. I went to Bernie's massage close by afterwards and had a decent appointment and spent $25 less. read more

We were in town for vacation and Misty fit us in for a couples massage. We have had several massages over the past few years, but my husband said this is the best massage he's ever had and that the therapist had a "sixth sense" for finding the knots, etc. He got the trigger point massage (deep tissue) because he has a lot of back pain. I appreciated the hot towels, aromatherapy, and soft music that was not distracting but rather added a soothing complement to the atmosphere. When we checked out they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. It seems like they are on top of sanitizing, etc - both massage therapists wore masks (properly) and we felt comfortable with the set up. We are on the more cautious side when it comes to COVID care, and felt like they did a great job keeping us safe and relaxed. It's not cheap, but priced reasonably for the length of massage, and you definitely get what you pay for. read more

She explained everything about the deep tissue massage before she began and made sure I was comfortable. Today was my fourth massage there since moving here 9 months ago. The business is run remotely so I call Misty (or text) and she'll place me with a masseuse at a designated location on the island (no spa foyers/lounges, hot tea, saunas etc)..its a functional experience. But the prices are fair for the going rate on the island, and the massage rooms are clean, zen and relaxing. She always returns calls/texts quickly, and on two occasions, she has gotten me an appointment "day of" with just a few hours notice. Love my deep tissue massages here...esp love Tina and Marianne! Tina really worked out my IT bands, my pectoralis major, deltoids... she incorporates a number of different methods to address my achnig spots (stretching, pressure,etc) . Marianne has addressed really bad headaches and jaw grinding for me in the past. They will incorporate essential oils if you ask at no additional charge. Today, I was especially stiff and Tina quickly agreed to extend my massage past the closing time to work on some additional areas.. I cant thank them enough for over reaching and providing this level of customer service. Its the highly skilled staff and easy appointment making that keeps me coming! read more
