I understand, the Giant Sequoia, if taken care of will outlast my family and I (lifespan 3,000 years). It was cool to see the ageless wonders of the California Redwoods and Giant Sequoias up to Muir Woods, I had to get one of my own to plant. I received my small size tree in the mail via USPS in a small tube. Since I worked all day, I came home and was excited to plant the tree in the evening before bed since I did not want the plant to sit too long in the plastic wrapper. Took me a few minutes and everything was set. Along with the small tree came a receipt, some instructions, some history sheet and a sticker. All in all a satisfied online order customer. The Hanukkah decor and Christmas tree decorations were great and many were very well-priced. And, of course, they've got indoor and outdoor plants, bulbs, as well as a great selection of trees. You can find anything you need to go with your plants, like soil, specialized fertilizers, and really nice pots, both basic and beautiful ornamental ones. The staff is very helpful, but you're also free just to walk all over the property by yourself.

I grabbed a plant from the display out front and walked inside. 5 employees standing around chatting about being tired and can't wait to get off work. I asked for 4 bags of bark. Cashier said "sorry. Soils are kept in the lumber yard and it's closed now." I asked how late they were open, he said 6. I asked what time they close the lumber yard and he shrugged and said he didn't know. I asked another employee holding down a counter if he could go grab me 4 bags. He said no, it was closed. Bunch of lazy lazy lazy people. Hope the owner knows they have staff who turn customers away 40 minutes before closing. When I got to my car it was 5:29. 31 minutes before closing and you can't get anything that anyone has to help with. Sad for a small town that boasts community and friendliness. Won't stop here again.

I did not order delicate, wilting flowers - I stuck with hardy rhodies and azaleas. I chose Singing Tree because they appeared to have interesting varietals. They (meaning all) arrived tiny and sickly looking, but I thought I could rehab them. I am a plant person. And even I could not save these sad little plants from their unfortunate upbringing. All of their disclaimers about "if your plants die, it's not our fault" should have keyed me in. ETA: clearly, this and the other less than positive reviews have struck a chord based on the owner's defensive response below. Reputable growers guarantee their plants -- see, e.g., David Austin roses. 90% of a $200 plant order should not be dead. Period. The reviews are telling, as is the owner's response.
