I just received my third order from MisterArt. With three artists in the family, I think I'm getting a little bit addicted to this site! The product selection is enormous and their prices are very good. I haven't become a VIP member yet, but I'm considering it. I find the shipping costs a little high compared to Amazon Prime (free), but it seems most eCommerce sites have a hard time competing with Amazon in that area. I haven't experienced any problems with the site being down, so I'm guessing that's something they've fixed. read more

Before ordering from this shop online I've read many reviews, including negative ones. I was a bit concerned, but they offer the best delivery option to Hawaii. MisterArt has some of the very best prices in the country. They sell name brand art suplies at very steep discounts....Aaron Brothers nor Michaels can't come close to their prices. If you are an artist by trade or hobby...you have to check out their site. Really good selection of oils, charcoal, canvases, easels, brushes, etc. I recently bought one of the original transformer concepts.....an all wood artist easel and supply holder with drawer that folds up into a wooden attache case sized box. It's unfinished wood, so with a couple of cans of polyurethane finish...that easel is now protected for many years of service. If nothing else...its great to just display it in a room..and it was only $50...plus spray cans. read more

Ordered an airbrush and some paints to go with it and when it was delivered i discovered the airbrush was replaced with a wooden cup. This could have been a mistake which i do understand can happen but then i tried to contact customer service. This is an impossible task and they will not answer the phone( been trying to call for 2 days) they will just leave you on hold for 30 minutes at a time then connect you to an answering service. They will also not respond to emails either. These are the actions of thieves and without any response that all i can assume has happened. so i paid for a $100 airbrush and received a $3 cup and there is no way to fix the situation. read more

Why did the item show up as available on the website when I made my purchase? 2.) Why did MisterArt email me that the item was not in stock and go ahead and package the rest of my order? I may have changed my decision had I known the item was not in stock. The shipping cost is the same to ship 2 or 3 items. I would have canceled my order, but they went ahead and "packaged it". 3.) The purpose of ordering online is so you do not have to go out and purchase the item somewhere else. I will now have to go and purchase this at a Pearl Artstore now, so I might as well purchase the rest of the items there. 4.) The Supervisor, Tene at ext. 225 said that once the order is in "packaging", they have to send it. They cannot cancel the order even though I was on the phone with her giving my verbal request to cancel the order. How does this make any sense? 5.) Tene says I have to either refuse the order which is being sent to my mother's house in DC or they will send me a return shipping label once I receive the package. Uhm why waste their money or mine. Keep the package Misterart, I don't want it anyway! 6.) I love the fact that they offer a 10% discount for me to use in the next 19 days. How ridiculous! Why would I shop there again! They should give me 10% off my CURRENT order, not my next order. That's a very CHEAP way of doing business and poor customer service. Misterart.com should keep their inventory up-to-date on its website and let the customer decide from the initial order what they are getting into. After receiving damaged items due to poor packaging we contacted MisterArt to have replacement items sent. When we contact customer service they didn't seem very interested in answering our questions. We felt like we were wasting their time because instead of explaining the RMA process we had to follow up with them numerous times to have very basic questions answered related to shipping notification, tracking, return label requirements, etc....you know the basic stuff to help ensure a smooth transaction. For example when Mister Art scheduled UPS to pick up the damaged items they didn't tell us when UPS was actually going to come. We had to ask when they would arrive and then trying to be proactive we asked them if we should write something on the box so the UPS employee would know they have the correct box. Mister Art doesn't provide return labels. They ask you to leave the items outside for the UPS driver to pick up which could take a few days. We weren't so comfortable leaving our package outside up to a few days hoping today was the day UPS would come and pick it up with no way to track it.. We finally received our items over 3 weeks after placing the original order and we only received status updates when we contacted mister art. The whole experience for us felt like pulling teeth while trying to push a rope up a hill. read more

This company has the worst shipping(or processing) times, you may save yoursef a buck by buying though them but do not expect your package within the next two weeks. I recently made an order for my daughters first birthday party. I ordered the supplies early Monday morning having not found exactly what I wanted in stores. My order was processed for 3 days! It didn't go out for shipping until 6pm Wednesday evening, mind you I need the materials by Friday. I repeatedly emailed customer service and they only replied right before it was shipped, and informed me now shipping would take 4-6 buisness days. The best is I paid $8 for ground shipping. Not sure about that last part I may just be cheap. read more

April 26, 2012 BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! This company has the WORST Customer Service that I can imagine. They would not satisfy this customer, but instead chose to hide behind phrases such as "there is nothing else we can do" when they chose to do absolutely nothing to make this customer satisfied with their product. I ordered Bainbridge Gallery Wood Frames, 11 x 14, in the Natural Finish. The choices were Black or Natural Finish per their web site. When I received my box of 12 frames I discover that the frames are just RAW WOOD--totally unfinished, bare wood. When I asked first Tené and then her supervisor, Brandy, I was told I could return the product--at MY EXPENSE-- or keep the frame, and, tough luck for me, finish it myself with Crystal Clear (that I will need to buy and take the time to apply). Their web site said Natural Finish. The word Finish means a coating that is clear and allows the natural wood color to show through. Not to MisterArt!!! I looked up Natural Finish in Google and you get page after page of wood products with a clear-coat finish on natural color wood. I asked Brandy to define the word "Finish" and she refused! REFUSED. I understand the meaning of "unfinished," but the word "finish" means a coating of some kind. The company representative's flat out refused to please a customer or just admit that their web site product description was inaccurate and misleading. In an attempt to resolve this issue I suggested they give me two cans of Krylon Crystal Clear (about $14 total) for me to "finish" the frames for a gallery. They said NO!!!!! BUYER BEWARE! They didn't bother to tell us there would be a back order as they were out of silver and could only give us 1 roll of green. It came to my inbox, not my junk mail which I have yet to empty since placing this order, so I'm confident I did not receive this email. MisterArt.com chose to cancel my order, so my daughter's 18th birthday was present-less from me. I went online a couple times after ordering to get tracking information which never appeared.
