This is a pretty big restaurant with a full dining side and then another side with a full bar. They have plenty of TVs in at the time they weren't playing NFL, but they were very flexible and immediately changed the channel to one of the main games. I was in the mood for a Michelada and sometimes even at Mexican restaurants it can be hard to find a quality version. However, this turned out to be a really good Michelada. Served in a major mug with a salted rim and a great mix of Tabasco bloody Mary and fresh limes, and oranges. In addition to a Mexican candied straw to stir it with. This was by far my favorite item of the night, even though I really enjoyed my food as well. I ordered the queso dip with cheese and salsa, and I also ordered a ceviche with mixed seafood. The ceviche was really fresh well proportioned and pretty good. I would've preferred a bit more lime juice, but this was still a great first bite. And yes, the sauce is legit here and the cheese dip was good as well. Chips are fresh and they keep them coming so definitely a spot. I will probably be watching more football at.

Even though Birria is all the craze right now, and I typically don't order it because it's so overly dominant on Mexican menus, we had to try this torta. It was humongous, filled with plenty of meat and drenched in a flavorful birria. Definitely a repeat order! And you gotta love a place that serves really good Micheladas at a really good price and this is definitely one of those spots. Service was outstanding with a staff full of ladies who seemed happy to be at work and happy to serve. I love this location as it sits in a shared parking lot with a music store and some other building but offers plenty of parking including an outdoor patio as well. This is definitely a place we will be frequenting quite often.

You could easily miss this hidden gem, tucked away on the corner beside a gas station. There are dine-in options, but most people seemed to be taking their food to go. It's the best quick to go option I've seen. They had my order ready in no time. I ordered an assortment of tacos: carne asada, birria, and fish tacos, plus a side of guacamole and chips. To top it all off, I added their homemade cheesecake casera with strawberry purée... and of course, a large agua de jamaica con limonada. The staff were some of the friendliest I've experienced in the area--must be because they're from Cali lol. My only suggestion would be to leave the sauces off the tacos for to-go orders, or explain that "all the way" means everything on them. By the time I got back to my hotel, the sauce had soaked through the tacos, so I missed that classic one-hand taco experience. Also... definitely add extra limes. Thankfully, those chips came to the rescue, and the flavors absolutely did not disappoint. Bottom line: it really did hit close to home. The flavors were on point, and the true winners of it all were the fish tacos and the cheesecake.
