Regardless of who has cut my hair, I've always walked out with a super cut but without a shampoo it does require going home to shampoo first before heading back out on errands or to a planned event. _______ A note about parking/tickets. Parking space is limited so requires a fee to park. Your car will be towed if either (1) you don't have a parking ticket or (2) aren't on the list as a current customer. AS A SERVICE TO YOU, Mister Pompadour collects your name and license plate to add to a list of current customers which EXCLUDES you from requiring a parking pass during your stay. The longer my son and I go here, the happier I am. The place is clean and the staff pleasant and the really seem to have a camaraderie. They have expanded and have low turnover and they do a great job on their cuts (hair and beard). Ive also been very happy with their hair products that i've used. Parking isn't always the best but the facilities have made improvements to correct it. Just be sure you know your license plate number before you go inside. read more

After a long sheltered year, all vaxxed up and nowhere to go, I tell my hubby he should treat himself to a nice haircut, maybe a shave. What about that cool place we've seen over at The Loading Dock, Pompadour? Is it too fancy? Will it be snobbish? After only a few minutes in, I feel welcome even as my husbands sidekick. We are checked in and offered a complimentary beer, wine or espresso. Both of us? Oh wow thank you, rosè please. It smells like handsome in here. Is that a thing? Anyway, fun, chill music, comfy chairs to wait in, let's hang out in the middle of a Barber shop! My honey gets to his chair right on time and I'm loving seeing him feel pampered. He got a lady so well, good for him. It's cool they let you choose who you want to cut your hair or you can just be open to whomever. The decor is modern minimalist, cozy. I feel like I could hang out here even if he wasn't getting a haircut, but I imagine that's frowned upon. I like that all ages are welcome. I saw a dad and his young son getting haircuts next to each other. And I can't help notice various cuts being achieved here as well. I kinda feared everyone would come out looking the same. As I write my review live, a stylist shouts out "hey, who did a cover of this song?" Some start to answer. This is too fun. And of course my man looks great already. Priced right for the experience. This business policy is to force a customer to visit a website and enter their license plate tag number to avoid a ticket. It is unreasonable that i should be forced to visit a website and hand over my personal information just to do business. When pressed they provided no alternate and justified it by blaming their landlord. Nothing so simple as a validated parking plaquard or an option to print one for yourself upon registering for an appointment. They actually suggested that i could just accept a ticket and apply to have the fee eliminated. It is time to reflect being tracked at every turn. read more

Mister Pompadour cancelled an appointment I'd had for weeks without as much as a text message. I showed up only to find out my barber was out of town. We rescheduled for a week later. On the day of my new appointment, I woke up sick. Rather than spread that shit, I sent a text and email to cancel. I also called but the VM was full. MP never responded. I have never been happier with a haircut in my life, but today changed that! "Sly" is the man and really took the time to cater to my wants! He was patient and took the time to hear me out and to perfect his craft. He didn't give me the vibe I get with other barber shops! She takes the time to personalize your experience depending on your hair type and goes above and beyond for beard trims with hot towels, straight razors, aftershave lotion, etc. They also serve drinks. I have had the hardest time finding a barber that knows how to work with my hair, and I had never gotten much cut or styling advice from my hair stylists. That has now changed now that I've visited Mister Pompadour. My barber Aaron has been able to give me excellent recommendations for how to cut and style my hair and I've never been happier. And if an amazing cut wasn't good enough, the scheduling system is fantastic. I love being able to schedule my appointment online, at a time that works well for me with my work schedule, and get my next appointment scheduled right after my cut is finished so I can maintain my style. Finally, they serve a nice variety of beers, wines, and cocktails. I've never had this service at a barber before, and I don't think I can ever go back. I just had the most amazing first experience at Mister Pompadour. I had an appointment for 4:30 but was in the area around 3:15 and popped in to see if they had any openings right away. Obviously not their problem but I figured I'd ask. The receptionist was super welcoming and right away asked a few guys if they had the time. Sam stepped in and gave me the best haircut! I basically gave him no direction ("maybe I like the length, I'm not sure, clean it up, I don't know, just do your thing and make it look good") and he whipped out a killer cut in 20 minutes. Exactly what I wanted and possibly my favorite haircut ever. Neck shave, hot towel, and styling included, he was super careful with my hair and the detailing around my ears and face and neck, but still speedy. I could also tell there were guys there who were in for a LONGER experience, which is special in itself if you're the type of guy who wants every hair in its place (which I obviously am not). Also--everyone was very diligent about masks, gloves, sanitizing. 10/10 going back! read more

Scheduled a beard trim and straight razor neck shave with hot towels for my husband for Father's Day. He received an electric shave, no hot towels, and only disappointment. Still cost the original amount despite not getting the services desired. Won't be returning and would warn against it for others who want the straight razor shave. read more

Booking an appointment was easy, but after booking, their business did not send me a text message for confirmation of appointment let alone a reminder message usually an hour or so before. But that's not even the problem. Showing up late may not be ideal for service but at least it may be used as an opportunity to inform the customer about store policy and cancelation fees (which are 100% of service price btw.) But no they allowed me to reschedule for later on that afternoon and then messaged me from a private number not business to tell ME to call THEM so that they can inform me that my new appointment was canceled for their own personal reason. Whilst still charging me full price for a service I didn't receive. Even if their haircuts are any good, their booking system needs an update especially when canceling ends up costing you a 100% service price ($45 for a haircut $45 no show fee) read more

Went here for a haircut and although the environment is very cool, not a single person was following COVID guidelines. Not a single employee/stylist was wearing a mask. They also had multiple people "hanging out" in the middle of the shop whereas most other barbers/salons in the area are making customers wait outside or in their cars for safety. Found this place and I'm so glad I did. Got possibly one of the best haircuts I've had in years. They serve coffee, espresso, wine, and beer for your wait if needed. Also, they're being safe by masking up. They also ask you to wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer station when you come inside. I felt safe the entire time. read more
