Have to warn you. Unless you're under 40 you might not get a good cut, and they don't really make you feel like they want you to be there. Students and military get $3 off - wooo hooo! Seniors no discount. Of course, $38 for a regular cut is only maybe 33% more than other places. What a great deal? Are you taken with going to a place with primarily all women barbers? Are you into getting a free beer? Are you simply into going to a place that looks sparton and cheesy? If not, I simply can't find a reason to recommend this place. Oh, I forgot to mention that I got a bad haircut there too. I am over 40 but was given a haircut like I was supposed to look 20-something. It looked really stupid. read more

Been to about 6 shops since moving to Raleigh and then I found Eren...my search is over. She's a fade master with a velvet touch. So effective even my 4 year old enjoys his cut with her. Shop is clean and well located with lots of parking options all around. read more

Arrow - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

While great service was provided when initially going to this location. My reservations for "first available" continue to be canceled. This is unacceptable. This is the 3rd time this has happened. I will taking my business else where. read more

Arrow - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Felling clean, sharp, and looking like a million bucks upon leaving Arrow! This is a cool barber shop without being pretentious or unaccessible, it's hip but not hipster, which means the staff is friendly, you can grab a cold beer if you like, and it has a well done retro-modern aesthetic. Men's cut $21 (as of Sep 2018), and while this is a few bucks more than others Downtown, the cut was great and the experience was enjoyable, problem-free and relaxing. Lexus cut my hair; she is a wonderful listener and an even better hairdresser with a fun sense of humor - you'll be in good hands with her. Love your haircut, go to Arrow. read more

Arrow - Nice sharp cut, short on the sides, a little long on top. - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Excellent haircut! I came in with almost 3 months overgrowth. Prompt service. Good price.

My son has been going to Timmy for a long time. I can't say enough positive about him. He does an amazing job. The place is clean and the staff always friendly. My only complaint and the reason why I don't use them myself and why I can't give them the 5 stars rating they deserve is that they only book appointments for a 2 week out window. I want to book my next appointment as I'm leaving my current one. The front desk staff says they aren't able to do it and they have no idea why they are restricted from doing it. But it is a great business and I have no other concerns. read more

I've been going to Arrow for years and have mostly been very happy with the quality of my haircuts. This location is better than others in that respect. Leaving this review because I'm very unhappy about the recent $10 price increase. My fade always takes less time than a "short cut" does, and now I have to pay even more?? Ridiculous. $35 + tip is too much for 15 minutes in a barber chair. I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

I asked the girl not to take too much off the top, and even told her a funny story about one time where a barber cut my hair super short and later that day was mistaken for a Marine. Guess she thought I was talking just to hear my own voice, because when I looked up she had cut off about 2 inches from the top. Now I look like I'm in junior high. Not everyone wants the same haircut, and when I go to the trouble telling you what I want you've got to listen. I still tipped. Not sure why. read more

Amazing atmosphere and great ppl, they also do great customer service any question I had they were more then happy to answer

This location is where all the newer barbers are being sent by Arrow for training. My last haircut wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. I'd recommend one of the other Arrow locations. read more

So, one wonders in today's world that customer loyalty is rewarded but people here are oblivious to the concept and may be living under a rock. The stipulated timings that they put for the appointments is a word on rock as far as their time goes but the umpteen times that you have to wait there not for 5 or 10 minutes but more than half an hour goes unnoticed to the arrogance they carry around there. Highly unprofessional behavior both in person and over phone. read more

I've been here a handful of times and usually it's been great, but this last time I went and it was as bad a haircut as I've ever gotten. I'd go back due to them aligning with my stance on masks, but I'll definitely request a different stylist. read more

First time trying this location but I work down the street and needed a quick cut. It pulled up as a barber so headed over. Wish I would've know that it's not really a barber and they don't take (like) walk-ins. I waited for about 20 min while the four ladies finished their cuts and then when two of them were done, they just sat around doing busy work for 10-15 min waiting for their next appt. Two customers just sitting there looking at them and they avoided all contact hiding behind the front desk. It was very strange. I'm used to a barber where it's next man up, limited conversation while cutting, and a handshake after paying. This was like a salon but in an old looking barber shop. When I was leaving, the employee asked if I wanted to leave my number and they'd call when they're ready. I asked if they choose not to cut walk-ins on purpose and she said when they have time. read more

These guys are awesome and seemed like they were having a great time while doing their job. Most places I go to the staff just seems annoyed or stressed but these guys were actually having fun. Jason was great with my cut and I'd definitely go back to him if I lived in Raleigh! read more

I have been coming here since they opened and to the Cameron Village location before that. I have been happy every time. I used to try to schedule with Mick exclusively but he's so popular that I've had the chance to try out some other stylists. Last time I saw Sabrina and she also did a great job! Everyone is extremely nice and personable but not excessively talkative if that's not your thing. I was intimidated by going to a barbershop as a woman but they are just as good with women's hair as men's. I do skip the shave though ;) Before finding Arrow I went to a few other salons in the area and paid over 2x as much for haircut I was either meh about or unhappy with. Arrow provides friendly service, skilled stylists, and an affordable price. Plus who can argue with a free cackalacky? read more

I just moved here from out of town, and one thing I wasn't looking forward to was finding a place to get my hair cut. Timmy listened to me when I told him what I wanted and executed it perfectly. I'll be back. read more

I just completed my first experience with Timmy. The check in process was super fast. I was in a chair with in the first few minutes. Timmy has a very cool guy and does an amazing job. Very talented at what he does. I will certainly be coming back on a regular basis as this is my new barbershop. read more

Was on a time crunch; Lexus was helpful in squeezing me in. She killed the cut, the beard trim, and the mark of a true professional: trimmed that ear hair without saying a word. I'll keep going there until she goes some place else. read more

Not sure what all the buzz is about... I recently moved to Raleigh and had seen the same stylist for about the last 6 years. I was a little apprehensive to find someone new, but the reviews here were so great it convinced me to check this place out. Appointment was easy to get, despite others noting the busy schedule. I arrived and was told a different person than the one I scheduled was going to be cutting my hair. No explanation, but I really wasn't too concerned. Was offered a beer, but I had to go back to work. Waited for about 10 minutes, despite being on time for my appointment. (mildly annoying. but again, there are bigger things in life to get worked up about) When the guy finally came out he asked me a couple quick questions about what I wanted done and then that was it... no chit chat, no checking in, just silence for about 15mins. It was very weird. To make matters worse, they turn your back to the mirrors while they are cutting. I had no idea if he was giving me a buzz cut or shaving me bald. I did not like it at all, but I trusted he knew what he was doing. In the end I got an OK haircut. Not the worst I've ever had, but not something I'd go back for. The price was cheap, about half what I paid back home. It felt very much like a factory though - get people in and out as fast as possible and throw in a beer to ease over any hiccups. I'd rather just pay more to get someone that takes a little time with me and make sure I'm happy. read more

I got my sons first big boy hair cut and chose to get it done here. I'm glad I made that decision. Leigh Ann did an amazing job at making my two year old feel so comfortable!! We will definitely be back!! read more

I recently relocated. I've relocated quite a bit over the last several years. It's nearly impossible to find a barber that can do it as well as the last barber (that took me forever to find that last time). I got lucky finding this place. I've had a haircut by just about everyone there. They ALL rock. Personally, I go with Mick (when I can get an appointment with him). That dude is meticulous like a surgeon with the scissors and clippers. Did I mention MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! The website says walk-ins are welcome. Good luck if you want to give that a shot. They are very busy for a good reason. Don't bother hitting up other joints before finding the right one. Come here and see Mick and team. read more

Timmy needs a raise. This guy is as good as it gets. He's thorough, not too talkative, professional and takes pride in his work--all with laser precision. I swear the man personally introduces himself to each individual hair and they're all pleased to meet him. read more

Updating to add that the value and experience are still great. Cool new beer collaborations with local breweries. Leigh Ann is the truth!

This place is great, Leigh Anne took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly. One of the best haircuts I have ever had. It's hard to find a place that can do a good men's cut but I don't need to look any further. This is my spot from now on, Leigh Anne is a boss!! read more

Went here for the first time today. Staff was friendly and efficient. Timmy was my barber and was amazing. I have what could be called a complicated hair style and he did a phenomenal job. Quieter shop, without the awkward small talk just to fill the silence if you want to avoid it. Will definitely be coming back. Very easy check out as well. Plus, a beer while you wait? Very nice touch. read more

I got a haircut from Leigh Ann tonight and I absolutely love it! Even during COVID, I felt absolutely safe and cared for. Krystal and Tapainga both went out of their way to be extra kind and helpful. It doesn't get any better than this. read more

Fantastically talented barbers at this location. You'll certainly be pleased with your cut and style. The scheduler/host today has the unfortunate inability to schedule a future haircut appointment for any customer more than 1 week out, although I've made my prior 2 appointments 3 weeks in advance. read more

Dude. They cut hair, and give you a beer while they do it. Im not sure the expectation some people had going here, but it isnt a "salon". Its a classic barber shop. If my grandpa went in here, he'd be stoked. He'd also slap the first hipster that walked in looking for "bangs I can style and brush in front of my eyes, because im brooding". I'm pretty sure some of the barbers in here would as well. Also, my grandfather was a very violent sociopath. I guess im getting off topic here. Just make an appointment, grab a beer, listen to records, and get your hair cut. Life can be that easy my dudes. read more

I go for the Great cuts, service, and atmosphere. Don't forget the free Beer. Best barber shops in Raleigh.

Pixies, rejoice! Quality cut on the quick and cheap. I was paying $60 for a luxurious monthly trim next door and just couldn't keep spending. Arrow looked fresh and hip (and cheap), and another short-haired lady gave it a thumbs up. So when you make an appointment online, you have to choose between men's cut (short / cheap) or women's cut (medium or long / not as cheap). I emailed friendly owner Pete, who said sure, I can book a men's cut for $19. Annie got my pixie cut right, and I got a beer. What's not to love? Rock on, Arrow --see you next month! read more

Have made several appointments after my previous review. Just made another appoint with Mick for a cut and hot lather, old school shave. I always book the two together. I'm looking forward to another great cut and shave (aka vacation). Seriously, book Mick now. A great cut. But the real deal is this: Real hot lather shave. Yes you shave yourself every day, but you don't get a shave like Mick gives you yourself. The old fashioned straight razor shave is a vacation in a half hour. Book him now read more

I've been in the triangle area for two years now and I finally found a place to get a good haircut. Honestly this is the first time I've ever loved a haircut. Justine hooked me up. Also the beer is a pretty awesome feature. read more

Whoa! Super fast haircuts, free beer, and cool people that seriously make you question why you ever went anywhere else for a haircut.

LOVE this place. I've been going here at least once a month for the past year. Being from WV, I never had any place like this to go for a haircut. Not only are they great barbers/stylists but you also get a complimentary beer while you wait or get serviced. They treat their customers nothing short of awesome and I always feel welcome. Their online scheduling is great as well, and very easy to use. I usually just come in for a haircut. I've never bought any of their products yet but they have a nice selection at decent prices. They also offer other services for men and women alike. Natalie is my go to and awesome at her job. She's been getting busier and busier lately (rightfully so), so I've gotten haircuts from Kris as well. She was amazing as well and just as courteous and thoughtful of her job as anyone else there. You seriously can't go wrong. I know they accept walk-ins but honestly I would schedule an appointment. This place is so busy all the time and it's just so easy to schedule an appointment. I've never gone on a weekday though so they may be a little more open during that time. All of this goes for the Cameron Village location as well. I've never been to the Durham one but I would expect it is just as great as the other two. read more

Arrow in Downtown Raleigh is the best place to go for a haircut. The staff are all extremely nice and helpful - and getting a free beer every time you go isn't a bad business model!
