I am from the Outer Banks, Therefore, I've never heard of this place. To begin with, I have to be honest and say that finding parking is kind of difficult, especially on a weekend due to the fact that the location is next to other businesses. As soon as you walk in, you have to grab a number which is totally fine. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I was attended and provided the barber with a picture of what I wanted to go with. I am very satisfied on how the haircut came up but the beard was cut shorter than we had agreed on, but it's still looked very decent so not a big deal to me because my beard grows really quick. The location was nice and it was a very happy environment. I'm glad to say that I would totally come back and get my haircut from here. read more

Let me tell you a story: Walked into the barber shop without an appointment. I was next up in line so it was a toss up on who I'll get as my barber. As I twiddle my thumbs and nervously wait for my demise... or so I thought. I was reading the news online and was called up literally 5 minutes after I entered. This man named Omar called me up, greeted me, and asked how I'd like my hair cut. I told him that my cut was going to be complex, high maintenance, and in need of pampering. He said,"no problem! I will take care of you! Tell me what you need". Me: "I just need my hair short, about an inch all sides and just a tad shorter on the sides" Omar: "I will take care of you, no problem this is easy" Me: *oh god, this can go really well or I'll end up with a crappy cut at this wedding I'm heading to in 2 days* This man literally took less than 10 minutes, and I was more than happy with how my cut turned out to be. Chicago Style Cuts is hands-down my favorite barber shop in Raleigh. I've been to lots of local spots (arrow, man murr, better man, etc.) and I'd choose this place over all of them every time. I've gotten haircuts from a few of the guys here, and I've always been happy with the results. However, my preferred barber is Noureddine. He takes his time getting everything lined up just right, and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work. The guy is a true craftsman. If he's there, he's worth the extra wait time.
