This place made me feel right at home, from the Chicago teams plastered on the wall to the great haircut and service. Zayed cut my hair last week and he did an excellent job. He went above and beyond what I was expecting for a $14 haircut. The barber I usually go to totally screwed up my fade. Walked in right before 9am as this place is by my work. Asked the barber who introduced himself as Rafi, if he could quickly fix it for me and he said that even though he was booked the rest of the day, for me to hop in the chair and he'll give it a go. Let me tell you. This guy knows what he's doing. He gave me the best shape up I had in a while. Even busted out the razor and trimmed my eyebrows. Before coming here, I was going to Supercuts and I can easily tell you that this place is way better. They are charging a little bit more ($20), but it definitely pays off. The owner, Arafat gave me an INCREDIBLE haircut! Literally, the most thorough barber I've ever met. I was visiting from out of town and hesitant to let a stranger cut my hair, but he gave me an amazing fade and exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend! I've been going here for a little over 2 years now. Arafat always takes his time and does a great job. I've been to other local barbershops and the haircuts aren't anywhere close to Chicago Style cuts. I don't know why anyone would want to go anywhere else. read more

Lacked sanitation, there was hair all over the place, my barber didn't clean off the clippers, comb, or shears from the guy before me. Lacked proper equipment, my barber couldn't keep his clippers running for more than 45 seconds and only had four guards for his clippers. Had one comb. It was the first time I had my neck straight razored dry. No shaving cream. Almost confident that my barber was not NCBB certified or had any formal training. Going to get my hair fixed tomorrow, waste of $20. read more

Classic barber shop joint with a super diverse clientele! So far I've seen everything from kids on the corner coming in after smoking black n milds to older men coming with high end cars. My friend told me to go to Rafi and I've been going to him ever since. He's a super nice guy and very professional (much more than the others in my opinion) and will help you with styling. Communication might get a little challenging at times but in general he's really good with delivering what you ask for. Prices went up recently but still not too bad considering what you're getting out of it. I think it's $24 for a cut and shave together which is a dollar more than somewhere like great clips but great clips will never actually shave your face with a straight razor (or any razor for that matter). All in all I definitely recommend Chicago cuts and Rafi. read more

Mike did an incredible job on my husband's hair. I am that crazy wife that has to choose everything for my husband and drive him crazy 24/7. So when my husband's previous hair stylist went on vacation and my husband needed a haircut for an important business function in a few days, I panicked. He first made an appointment with another barber in another city and that never fell through. That's another story though. I immediately started searching for another barber and saw these incredible fades by this guy named Mike. I called him in 2 seconds after seeing his talent on IG. I didn't think he would answer and mostly certainly didn't think he would be able to fit my husband in but he answered and after listening to my crazy explanation of what just happened to my husband, he was able to fit my husband in. I knew everything was going to be alright now. I just had to get my husband there ASAP while there was still an opening. He quickly drove from out of town and the rest is history. I've always been about fades and my husband's hair is pretty thick but Mike did the most awesome haircut my husband has ever gotten! Mike was very nice even though he probably thought I was nuts, in which case, I am, but he was still very polite and professional. I would highly recommend any guy who wants a haircut that all other men would envy as well as catch the eye of women to go get their haircut by Mike! If you're a guy who has a picky wife like myself, your wife will have no complaints about your hair if Mike cuts it. My husband's haircut is absolutely perfect! I love it and he does too! read more

Impressed they are open on Sunday!! A good barber open on a Sunday is a blessing! The shop has plenty of chairs and almost no wait at all! The neck shave it cheap/poor. Been there 2x with different barbers and both only 'dry-shave' your neck without any shave cream. The razor does not work as well and afterwords, I have these red/rash marks on my neck afterwards. read more

My son and I just came back from this barber shop, where one of the associates of Chicago Style Cuts, called Motaz, ruined the next couple month of my 15 year old son's life. We came in for a light trim, to just shape his style before a fairly important social event in my son's life. I explained that we need to trim the top to a certain length (and showed him the length, about 1.5"), and trim the back and sides lightly to blend... He nods and asks me to choose a style out of little pictures they have on the wall (numbered like entrees at McDonald's). My son's hair is very curly, and there are no curly styles on those pictures whatsoever; I explain that there is no picture that describes what we need. He nods again (although I get a sneaking suspicion that he understands about one word of English out of ten that I say), and then he grabs a trimmer and practically shaves the sides and back of my son's head to 1/8" stubble! I am speechless, my son looks shocked. Of course the top had to be cut short as well, to blend. My son now looks like an escaped convict. He was looking forward to this event and now he is embarrassed to go. Motaz says: "Next time bring a picture"... There will be no next time, Motaz! read more
