I've been using this car wash regularly and the drive-through wash itself is great--no complaints there. It's consistent, convenient, and does a solid job every time. However, I'm giving it 3 stars mainly because the vacuums leave a lot to be desired. They're noticeably weaker compared to other places I've used, which makes it harder to get a truly clean interior. That said, it's the most convenient option near me, and the membership makes sense for how often I go. I frequent this car wash because it is convenient to my workplace but, sometimes convenience is not always a reason to support this business. Several times now I have requested the Platinum Wash and my car was NOT clean when I exited. The staff insists on placing cars too close together which inhibits the car wash brushes and rinses time to even touch the car. What is the rush???? Definitely NOT a good value when the service does not perform. My advice, save your money. read more

Come here and every time I have my interior done, they don't do a good job. For example, on my three cars, I bring my one car in and they don't even clean the front windshield when I get home. I can see that it's dirty. On my other vehicle they did not vacuum the back part of the car. They don't even have a manager come out to talk with you to address the issues. read more

I took my car there 2 months ago and I really wasn't happy with the job for the price I paid. Thought I would give them another chance because it is Winter and i did not want to have to clean the inside of my car. My cup holder had some chocolate coffee on the side of it, and it was still there. My door had streaks down the side where my husband had opened the window when it rained -- they were still there. Outside was looked good! Interior cleaning dont waste your money on. Its like they didnt even do it. Tiny stones still on the floor, mats still dirty, console still dirty. dash still had dust, the windshield was the only window they washed, one tire still had soap on it from whoever cleaned the tires. The car wash is as expected, The low rating is for the interior job I paid for but did not receive. Let me start with I occasionally park and eat frenchfries in my car, it has been 2 months since I had it detailed So you can imagine it wasnt that serious, not a hard job. When they were finished there were crumbs in the door, and cup holders, a puddle of cleaning fluid left in the cupholder, crumbs in the folds of the center gearshift and the driver side doormat was left with all the white marks from winter salt. My car came off the conveyor. They drove it into the lot and left it unattended. So I had to go into the service area. Get the guy who left my car and tell him about the puddle and crumbs. He came to my car and using the same rag from the car behind me wiped the puddle, flung the crumbs around and said OK and went back into the service area. I drove my car from Mr. shine car wash to the car wash five minutes up the road and vacuumed it myself and used the supplies that they offer there (for free) to wipe everything down. Monthly membership- I usually go a few times a week to get my car cleaned on the outside and every month or so get the inside done as well. Sometimes it's very busy sometimes and sometimes it's not. When I get service done for the inside of the car you can get us requested scent. You can also walk-through the inside and there's restrooms and I believe popcorn and you can wait inside for your car to be finished. read more

Been coming here a couple of years now. Monthly subscription, wash only. Prices have gone up. Service down. I add an interior service every so often, that went up from $10 add on to $15 dollar add on. 50% increase, seriously. When I went in today, the interior line was empty. So there was no rush for the crew. They did a horrible job. Dust everywhere, they didn't even bother to wipe down the dash and anything else. My cup holder was somehow wet but not clean. I keep My car very clean, so it's not like it's a challenging job to clean my interior. Extremely disappointing. I'm canceling my monthly and not returning. read more

This place is a rip off! At check in, there was only 2 options for car washes. Picked the cheaper of the two which at $29.56 was still expensive. But I was willing to give it a chance. The guy then asked if I wanted to leave a tip which I thought why take it out on the employee. But, what a mistake! No one hand tried the cars. It has one of those blowers at the end of the wash. It seems well known locally that you do not visit Mister Car Wash for, well, a car wash. Apparently, as spoken in several reviews and word of mouth when you ask locals, they do a less than acceptable job. I went to Mister Car Wash for an oil change and state inspection. I did also get my exterior washed. Here's what I want reviewers to know. This place has a theme-park-for-cars feel to it. The campus is huge. They have drive through wash, a detailing garage, oil change garage, and a pet wash station. There are signs pointing you in all of the directions, and you almost never have to leave the seat of your car. When I arrived for my oil change, it is a Valvoline service center, and so I drove my car into the bay, rolled down my window, and chatted out the window whenever there was something to discuss. They checked my filters and fluids, checked air pressure, replaced the oil, and all the while called out what steps they were completing. The employees were all friendly and, best of all, efficient. I let them know I also needed the state inspections, but there was about a 30 minute wait. I wanted to get my car washed, so they sent me off to do that - with a coupon! The car wash is a drive-through wash, and you have 3 or 4 levels of service to choose from. At the time, the lowest is $9, and I had a $10 coupon from the oil change. I opted for the tire dressing, and paid a whopping $2 extra. I don't love drive-through washes because it doesn't get that squashed cicada gut juice off of the bumper, but it's good in a pinch. After the wash, I showed back up at the Valvoline garage to wait for the inspection. I did have to leave my car for this service because they test drive it and take the wheels off and such. You'll be sent inside their waiting area, which is a quaint place to hang out and wander through. Inside they have a little make-believe town of sorts. There is a chapel and a full barbershop display. There is a play area for kids, and the building is pet-friendly (meaning your dog is welcome inside). I would definitely come back here, although I'm not from the local area. I felt the pricing was reasonable and the work was well done. It's really too bad the overall rating for this spot is so terrible, because I feel it turns people away from the oil services, which are no less than 4 stars, in my opinion. For a full service car wash including interior was $31.80. I explained to the cashier, I had numerous bugs on the front surfaces, and I asked to have BUGS marked on the windshield. She said she would tell the guy with the bug juice, just inside the tunnel entrance. When the car was "done", there were still about 100 bugs on the white front bumper. In the past, I would just drive back into the entrance and run it through again, after BUGS were marked on the windshield, causing the guy to apply the bug juice, which is very effective in their removal. I did not have time for two washes on this day, which is why I asked as I entered. You must go through twice and you must have BUGS noted on the windshield or you merely accept a substandard wash at a premium price. You are much better off going to another car wash in nearby Reading where you get the whole job done right the first time for about $20. They have about 55 years experience and don't leave bugs behind. read more

I was just at the Reading Mister car wash and locked my keys in my car while vacuuming the inside. The car was running and my phone inside so couldn't really call anyone to help. I asked an employee if I could possibly use a phone or get some help and he came to my car 5 minutes later with the assistant manager and a kit to open doors. My car was opened in less than 10 minutes and I was able to quickly get back to work. I want to say that if I could give 10 stars I would. Anthony (staff member) and John (assistant manager) are rock stars! They provided amazing customer support for something I didn't even believe they offered. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!! My rear tail light was damaged during my last car wash and the manager refused to offer repair assistance! Prior to entering the car wash (2) staffers walked the SUV and in fact sprayed down the vehicle and expressed NO concerns. Damage happens, lack of accountability / ownership is unacceptable. I've been a patron of Mister Carwash since they opened, sometime around 2005 (The Cloister). For the last 2 years I have been a subscriber to the unlimited wash program, $35.95 per month. I frequently use this service 3-4x per week. As it turns out, the carwash made some modifications to the tunnel in recent weeks that now doesn't deploy the washing arms (top & sides) on certain vehicles such as mine. I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler hardtop (unmodified). I was told my vehicle as well as G-Wagons, Hummers and a number of other vehicles will not get the side arms with their wash. This is essentially a touch free wash for vehicle owners like myself. As a result, my car no longer gets clean, at all. I asked the manager if there was a discount for not getting the same wash that I was paying for and they answered was no. Please know I am not looking for a discount, I just want to get my moneys worth for the service I am paying for. As a result of this change I have canceled my subscription and will no longer go to Mister Shine. I suspect others will feel the same as myself and cancel as well. Good job Mister! I have been a unlimited platinum car wash member for years with 2 cars. I have a 2018 Audi S4 with brand new aftermarket rims and tires powder coated in black. Noticed damage after going to car wash made a claim and they feed you none sense when they call you about the claim I have pictures of the guide rail rollers being blown out and also saw video of car hitting that side of the rollers due to tunnel operator not paying attention till it was to late to tell me to move over. Me as a customer would expect a company to take responsibility for there neglect. I am not asking for a new car or a new rim. I am asking for my brand new wheel to be fixed. I paid to have inside wiped down n vacuum done.. even stated on pd slip to vacuum at back window.. Not done the dirt n dead bees r still there. It was hand written on my slip by the guy who I paid in line. I had to ask attendee for his cloth so I could wipe down console cus they missed it. Did u know when u ask for a inside car cleaning they charge you extra for wiping the doors !! They break up the inside it's not one flat cleaning fee. The Pet Wash section used to be great but now not so much. The water pressure is awful, the credit card limit is $10 when only $3 -4 worth is needed for our dog. I've use the one in moon township for several years. Had a membership there. That was when it was globe car wash. After the new group took over half the equipment is broken. One day the entire car wash was shut down for maintenance. Their computer board breaks so you end up getting the wrong services you don't get what you pay for, for example, tire shine, or the buff out doesn't trigger 50% of the time. The final straw came when the car wash pulled me through excessively hard and the equipment didn't turn on causing about $2000 damage on the front end. They said they weren't liable for it. They blamed me for it. I was following the instructions of the employee who told me to hold the brake in while it cycled through Just a total horrible experience, and strongly recommend you avoiding it. read more

Went there for an oil change prior to a cross-country road trip. Greeter was courteous but tech and manager were surly and curt. I asked if they would be checking the air filter elements and was told "Yes". I requested that they install new elements that I had brought with me. They refused. They didn't check the air filter elements either. Oil change cost $45.00 . Didn't use synthetic oil, didn't vacuum the interior, didn't clean the widows. Extremely dissatisfied with the interior cleaning service I paid $40 for today. When my truck got pulled out I inspected it as always and it looked as if it hadn't been touched!! There was a giant streak of dirt on the driver and passenger side doors, the front floor was barely vacuumed and the back seat looked virtually untouched. The associate who pulled the truck out was nice enough to get the vacuum and go over it for a minute or two but I ultimately left with my truck looking just as bad as it did when I came in. Reading reviews, I see several people were unhappy with Mister. My experience was very different. I have a van, they not only did a very good job on the interior, they also cleaned under the back door at the top where it connects to body. Lots of dirt, leaves, etc collects there and it was cleaned! The only other car wash that did that was in Lakeland, FLa. not here in Berks. One of the men continually shut down the conveyor so they could clean interiors of all the cars thoroughly. As long as they continue to clean the van as well as that time, I intend to only use Mister from now on in Berks. read more

Today I cancelled my monthly subscription. I always get in the "monthly subscription" lane and wait my turn, but now it seems to be a free-for-all getting into the car wash. There are 3 lanes, and everyone gets in whatever lane they want and then they gyp in front of everyone waiting in line. I refuse to let someone in front of me that gets in line after me. Last week I was waiting my turn in the "FAST LANE," and 2 cars pulled right through and merged in front of people that had been waiting in front of me. A few minutes later, when I was the third car in line, a truck pulled right through the second lane and proceeded to try to get in front of me when I had already been waiting for 10 minutes in the "FAST LANE." He proceeded to roll down his window and yell obscenities at me for not "taking turns." He proceeded to tell me that I wouldn't have to wait in line if I got a monthly pass. I told him I had the monthly pass and was waiting in the monthly pass lane. I also told him that I WAS taking turns and it was MY TURN because I had already waited 10 minutes and he just arrived. I had a similar experience before, and the guy gave me the finger as we were exiting the car wash and waiting at the light to leave. And again, he had a monthly pass and did not wait in the "FAST LANE." He just pulled right through the second lane and expected me to let him gyp in front of me. Tell me again what benefit is it to having a monthly pass. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING TO ME!! YOU REALLY SHOULD HAVE A BETTER SYSTEM FOR ENTERING THE CAR WASH THAN JUST WILLY NILLY. I took my brand new 2021 Silverado in to get wash got best package almost $40 for a car wash didn't get all dirt off and when they were wiping it down I noticed a scratch on passenger side of the bed the general manager came out and said that didn't happen here I told him I'm the only person that drives my truck and the scratch wasn't there when I came in I have only 10,000 miles on it and they totally denied it happened there basically told me I was full on shit and made a claim but denied all responsibility and never clean the rest of my truck that wash missed or offered refund I have a friend that had a similar incident a while back on his classic car and they told him the exact same thing they don't respect the owner or the vehicle at all!!!! read more

They get you with the popcorn, free soda and the gimmick of watching your car come down a conveyor belt. The back of the house service is terrible. They kept charging us up to three months after cancelling and did not return the money. We called and the guy said he will cancel but the next month we got a bill and then we called again. This finally ended after three months of calls and badgering. We will never return and it's best to cancel in person. read more
