I was fully prepared to leave a 5 star review for Mr car wash. The price wasn't too bad for full service in and out, 46 $ plus tax and tip. Being that my suv had orange farm dust all over it, I was shopping around for a full serve place. Extremely large and fancy waiting room for no real reason. The property might be too big for them if they don't have extremely busy all-day-long business. Wash was pretty good, missed a few spots inside on the window edges but despite that, the reason for loss of 2 stars is the cup holders remained dirty and they hid it with a napkin ? I thought it was just something they pulled from the side of my seat and left there. But they covered the part they don't clean ? So strange. I was beyond disappointed. The most ridiculous $80+ I've spent to have my car "detailed". The exterior was just washes around dirty water and the kids "detailing" the interior do a mediocre job. Every time I leave the facility, I have to vacuum my truck again and wash all of the interior windows, and door jams. For the price they charge, the job they do is honestly quite horrific. This place has motivated me to open my own detailing company to give customers what they deserve for the same price they're paying for this place to make your vehicle look worse leaving than it did when you pulled it. The price for their services has sky-rocketed in just a few months. A base inside and out care wash which used to be just $36 has now jumped to over $44 without the pushed for tip. I have used them since before the change in ownership (who provided more service for the money, including an actual wax option) - at least 20 years. Mister is conveniently located right next to Valvoline where we just finished with an oil change. Employee was welcoming and knowledgeable about the services they offer. Also, about how often to get undercarriage wash due to salted roads. (Answer: "I get it done every time it snows") The price is higher than we've ever paid for a car wash and inside cleaning -- but they also provide more than we've ever had before and VERY quickly. The car wash had more brushes and dryers than we've seen. Car looks great. The inside cleaning was done by about 6 different people while it moved along on a conveyor belt system. It was impressive and interesting to watch. Atmosphere is overall clean and pleasant. Fun mural on long wall where you see the car moving along. (To the manager: I would recommend taking a bit of time to freshen the paint in the bathrooms - maybe waiting area. Save your time and money and go somewhere where the car actually gets clean - everywhere. The service is always great but the washing quality is lacking. A car wash should do ONE thing right: washing cars. And that's not the case here. Typical areas not being properly cleaned here are the front bumper (flies, dirt) and the rear window and trunk, see images. Also, cars always come out semi-dry so most people pull over after the wash to hand-dry their cars. This is something the car wash should already do properly. read more

What's really disturbing is the car went through the interior and nobody said "wow! This car is still really dirty and it looks like the tire shine was missed!" I went to this establishment on Friday afternoon. When I got home I walked around my car to see how clean it got. This is a brand new car, the first time using their service. The passenger mirror has huge scuffs and the front panel is scratched. I immediately returned and filed a claim/complaint. I received word by phone they are denying my claim. According to Joe the GM he viewed a tape of my car passing thru the wash and there was no malfunction in their equipment. He then tried to patronize me saying he knows how I feel. Virtually every time I get my car detailed at this location, I have to pull over in a nearby parking lot and finish the job myself. And I see many other patrons doing the same thing. Luckily, I have a small vacuum and dust rags in my trunk that I use to finish the job. They "miss" leaves, twigs, dog hair... things that there's no way they didn't see them. And they fail to dust the dashboard, the door jambs, the armrests, etc. It barely looks like it was touched. The only thing they vacuum are the floormats in the back seat and the 2 front seats. They often fail to even attempt to vacuum the backseat, presumably because there's dog hair on it. But that's the whole point of my taking it to them -- to have the car cleaned -- and it's not cheap!!! read more

But recently since they change the setting or I meant to say the way the car is wash I have seen so many scratches on the right side of my Toyota Tundra which I keep garage kept I was it every week but dam today is the day that the scratches don't even come out not even with waxing it.!! I should have looked at Yelp BEFORE I took my car. Found two premium inside and out tickets in my glove box which they wouldn't honor as Thee we from Cloister. Paid $45 for equivalent . The asked me for a tip. I gave %10 which she put down as $5. OK Then at the interior wash station I asked if that included washing my rear SUV mat and learned that's another $2. OK do it. Looked forward to a nice free coffee but was astounded to see that area gutted. Inspected mat which had not been washed. Asked one of the many workers if it had been washed. On Sunday, June 1 early evening my daughter went through the Mister Car Wash on 1417 Manheim Pike. When she got home and was touching up the lousey job they did I told her it looked like someone drug your car upside down the street. when she looked at the roof it had terrible scratches on it. In the picture you can see like a perfect area scratched with defined lines where the brush probably came down to far then quickly went back up. She went back the very next day because they had closed and talked to the manager and explained to him she just bought the car the day before and the salesman assured her it wasn't there when she bought it and had a graduation party the same day she bought it (June 1st) and not 1 person saw it. yet she got the same run around as a customer earlier this year." the general manager denied the damage and stated this can't even happen due to the material of the blades, but will check the cameras and get back to me immediately. When he did get back to me he said the camera footage showed that "nothing out of the ordinary" happened that day and no one else complained that day. I asked her to show me the footage and she said he can't show us the security footage. If no damage occurred when my car went through the wash then the manager should have no problem with showing us the footage. I have no doubt that the carwash caused the damage to my vehicle as anyone who looks at the picture will agree and Mister Car Wash should take responsibly for their negligence. Took two cars today for a premium clean. My suv I totally understand that there would be dog hair remaining, have a husky, but they didn't even try to vacuum the trunk area. Just went thru today, a Sunday. Both pay lines were backed out to Manheim pike and beyond, and the drive thru line was just as long. 1 attendant to take care of both pay lines, and the drive thru wasn't working either so 1 guy to take care of 3 lanes. At what point does management get involved to help out! ( only if you care I guess)! To top it off, only 1 wash lane was working, the other was shut down with door closed. I drove to 3 other car washes in Lancaster county, this is the only full service car wash that I could find. $23 for the mediocre car wash and I had to pay $3 extra to get the tires shined because none of the car washes offered that service. Also, leather seat conditioning at the car washes in Arizona cost and additional $4, at this car wash it costs $14, that's highway robbery. They allow you to stay in the car when going through the exterior car wash, then you exit for the interior cleaning. The interior cleaning was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. It's on a conveyor belt and workers walk along the side of the car while vacuuming the floor and mats while the car is moving. Then the next set of workers of wipe down the inside... while the car is still moving. It's the most asinine process I've ever seen. The only party benefiting is the establishment (by giving minimal attention to each car) because it must be a huge pain for the workers to have to clean a moving vehicle while walking along side of it and the customer is getting screwed because whatever get's missed while it's on the conveyor belt - isn't getting cleaned at all. Ten minutes after I leave, it rains out of nowhere. I called them to see if they do rain checks and they said no. What kind of crap is that? I can understand why there are so many dirty cars in Lancaster. If I ever move here, I'm opening up a chain of $5 car washes and putting these fools out of business. read more

The one star is for the automated system, not the interior cleaning. Out of the last eight visits to the car wash, six I have been sub par, and I had to take the car through again to try to get basic cleaning completed. I don't know how you missed the entire dashboard of the car, the windows, the trunk, and other obvious spots. I've been a customer for years. I went to the previous car wash (Cloister) that sold its business to you. It was never the cheapest place, but you could count on attention to detail and prompt, friendly service. Since the change, I have been a fairly regular customer as I have a white car and kids and small dogs... The people working there are friendly and helpful, but the quality of service has decreased exponentially since the change. I have understood that sometimes service can degrade after a private business is sold, and I dealt with it sadly. However...after today's experience, I will not return. I am not complaining about the outside wash. It is acceptable. It is the inside cleaning that has me worked up. The inside cleaning used to always include pulling out the floor mats and scrubbing them. Because my car was quite dirty on the inside and the outside (I had just returned from a muddy camping trip last weekend) I paid $36 for the Full Service Platinum (which is supposed to include the dash conditioner). Then, when I got to the service dock, I showed them the back hatch floor protector mat and asked them to be sure to wash it and was charged an extra $2. Then....when I entered my car after the service, the muddy foot prints from my puppy were still evident on the passenger seat, my seat, and the middle console. I asked the friendly worker about it, and she said..."Ummm, we don't do that." REALLY??? You don't wipe off seats??? She did offer to wipe off the seat and console for me, but as I sat in, I saw that my dashboard was still dusty and there were crumbs in the cubby that holds sunglasses (that I removed everything from, so it could be easily seen/cleaned)....ummm Dash Conditioner??? I remember returning to an almost spotless car in the past...for half the cost. This is sloppy work. I won't be back, but I will share my experience.... read more

Decided to splurge a little bit and have the inside and outside done as I am preparing to sell the vehicle. Just needed a good wash as I had waxed it only a few weeks ago and the inside just needed vacuumed and wiped down. It was as if no one had touched the inside, short of a very minimal vacuuming. visible debris was still left in the car and leaves on the dash which was never wiped down. Not sure how the leaves got on the dashboard. A white residue was slopped in various locations on the exterior of the car, and one side of the car looked at it had never been touched with the brushes. Windows Were only halfway done with visible streaks and dirt. Center consul was not wiped down. A real waste of time and money. Disappointing to say the least. read more

First of all, please stop asking for a tip when you pay for the car wash. That gives your employees zero incentive to do a good job. Based on the service I got today I would not have tipped! After I paid, I was told it was a 45 minute wait. I am currently sitting among about 20 cars waiting to be serviced. I love Mister. I haven't had a bad experience on the service side at all- 5 stars to them. Yes at times the waits are longer than you would want for an express service but they usually set expectations up front. I think their customer service is great and could not ask for a more convenient place to get my car oil changes and inspection. The car wash is great too- I unfortunately have had some poor service with the premium interior and exterior wash where they skip parts and don't realize I got a premium indoor cleaning. I would say some of the kids that work there just don't care that much, but other times my car has been wiped down to perfection. Thank you Mister for a positive experience today! read more

The outside was is fine. The express lane for members is great. I DO NOT recommend their interior. The miss entire spots of the car that aren't even wiped down or vacuumed. They gave me my car and said "let us know if everything is okay or there is anything we can go over again." I saw a car that didn't even look like it was touched. When I asked for them to vacuum it again they said no, the dog hair was too hard to get out. But that's literally why I paid them for this service. I have used Mister Car Wash a few times, and each time, I am very frustrated. After this last trip today, I will certainly not be going back. When I pulled up to get the interior cleaned, they asked if I wanted the trunk vacuumed. I said yes because I had removed the car seats and baby things for easier access. The trunk was not vacuumed AT ALL. There are still crumbs everywhere. They didn't wipe down the cup holders or door handles (again, all things had been removed for easier cleaning). To top it off, they didn't wipe down the leather seats, whatsoever. it was like they only vacuumed the first two rows and just stopped. I paid $50 for a half assed vacuum. read more

I got the expensive package which also is suppose to include vacuuming and cleaning our car interior surfaces and literally found my cup holders still dirty, dog hair still in my backseats, and dirt and sprinkles in my seat pocket holders. Why pay the most expensive package if they are literally going to do a poor job, literally I could have done that or even better of a job.. very disappointed for the price. So I just dropped over $55 to clean my car. I paid the employees at this establishment to clean my car inside and out. As you can see from the pictures below, they did not clean it. I left with it almost as dirty as it was when I arrived. There was only one other car there at the time, but you could see they were rushing to get it done. I then drove to a do it yourself wash and dropped $15 to clean it myself. Please think twice before dropping your money here. It was so much better when it was run by Cloister. read more

I have been a Mister Car Wash customer for years and I must say it's extremely disappointing to see the downturn n service over the most recent years. Location makes a big impact on this as well; Ephrata has always been amazing, Manheim Pike is utterly horrible. I understand that staffing is low, but if I'm payment by almost $50 for an inside and out car wash, it should be done properly and completely. I shouldn't have to mention vacuuming under my seats, or cleaning the windows or even the obvious of wiping the dirt and water off the trunk and rear bumper of my car. No attention to detail at the Manheim location. Furthermore, in terms of staffing.... It's 8:38am on a Tuesday and I'm watching four employees start doing on the line chatting it up, while one car is at a standstill on the belt and 10 others are in line. Only one person is vacuuming the car out. Manheim has missed the mark severely. No care and no attention to details or thoroughness. Avoid this location and make the drive to Ephrata for a clean car without the hassle or worry. read more

UPDATE: as of yesterday October 31st 2018 I visited this car wash again in spite of my previous experience I gave them another shot with it being a month I figured maybe things have gotten better, to my demise I was wrong things have gotten worse! And I witnessed something I've never seen before the machine was washing a car in the tunnel when something went terribly wrong and the machine went crazy the metal rod tore a hole the size of a large pizza pie and ripped the entire side of the. We up none the less they ended up closing and the damaged car from the car wash had to be towed out!! And me and a few other cars where stuck in the tunnel, by far the worst experience withba car wash I've ever had in my life!! I would avoid this place at all cost if you care about your car, thank god my car was spared.. I'm sorry but this place has gone down the drain especially since they fired Eric the GM.. nothing ever gets done right wheels and tires are almost never shined I pay $50 a month and I want my money back and they have a nerve to leave a tip jar for the workers.. here's a TIP, actually give a Sh!T about your job and you might get somewhere this place is wack and I would avoid at all cost.. I was excited the first time I tried Mr. Car Wash. I'd been looking for a decent car wash in Lancaster and my first wash was a solid experience - reasonable price, efficient, and decent job on an exterior wash with minimal frills. Then I brought my wife's car in for an interior & exterior wash. The exterior was OK, but the interior didn't look very clean when they called me over. There was still a good deal of noticeable dirt on the carpets, it looked as if someone didn't care what they were doing. I spoke with a supervisor who agreed his folks could have done a better job and had it sent back onto the line. Sadly it made only a little difference. I realized they only dry vac, and their nozzle attachments don't get into the cracks. Pretty pricey for basic interior work at that... OK, so I thought that meant I could still use this place for outer washes. Wrong. For my third visit, exterior wash only, the person taking my order was annoying and kept trying to upgrade me to more expensive washes, even though I was clear the first time she tried to upsell that I wasn't interested. I wasn't happy being asked again, after twice stating clearly what I wanted, at which point she acted as if I was the problem. "I'm just doing my job, SIR," she intoned in an affronted manner. Really? Push services I don't want after telling you twice I'm not interested? The kicker came after getting home. Lo and behold, the front of the car was dirty; the sides looked as if I hosed them off myself with no detergent. WTH? Pay a premium price, get hassled by the person taking my order, and get home to find the car is still dirty? What was the point??
