Grace wouldn't return my calls. No one would. I was in a dispute with a funeral home and her pre paid grave. DON'T but a prepaid one here.

Went here to visit our parents' gravesites. We were very disappointed to see that the "grass/lawn" all over the cemetery looked like straw--dead grass with weeds. I don't believe there was a water shortage restriction in Seaside and it was May, 2025. The "grass" didn't look like it had been. mowed in a long time-weeds were tall. Such a shame to see the cemetery in such poor shape. We were going to look at whether we could be buried here with our parents, but now we're not sure. So sad to see such deterioration. read more

What a Bad cemetery. The worst worker ever AKA GRACE CELINO. contacted her multiple times regarding headstone of my family member that passed that I ordered from an outside source. I'd rather be buried in the ocean than be buried here once I die. She has such a big attitude for no reason, not a business women at all, COMPLETELY unprofessional. She's so full of herself for no reason. She could care less about how you feel, whether you're going through hell with a family death or not. She thinks the world revolves around her. If you're not going to send emails on time, not be in office all week, and never respond to phone calls, just retire, it's not that hard!!! Had graveside service for my mother. Unfortunately my family and I had to set up ourselves due to their short staffing. This should've been done prior to us arriving as well as guests. I had several close friends buried here years ago, and I was always impressed how well kept the grounds were. I occasionally would drop by to leave flowers, and found the staff to be attentive to keeping the place as pleasant as could be.. I really appreciate how well kept the grounds are. Never any litter on the grounds. read more

My 101 year old mother was buried here almost a year ago. I contacted them to find out why my mother didn't have a HEADSTONE. I would give this cemetery 0 stars if I could. I have been photographing headstones for Find a Grave for some time. Apparently the women in this office will only talk to one person who goes by the handle CJBiller. I went in and was told "I bet you have a long list of graves and we don't have time for that." Actually I only had 1. Today I checked and CJBiller has put on peoples requests "I know the people in the office and they told me ...." This is BS. I have been to many cemeteries and NEVER been treated as rudely as I was by the woman in the office the other day. There were 3 women working at the time. I suspected this was the case but I waited to see and sure enough the other guy was in the office yesterday and was able to get info on the 6 requests currently on Find a Grave for this cemetery. As far as I am concerned this is discrimination. He is no more family to these strangers than I am. I was told they would ONLY look up plot locations for family. Apparently this is not the case. She is happy to stop what she is doing to help him while she ran me off. I hope corporate sees this. read more

Different graves are treated differently. Some areas never get water. Sad to see how older graves are being left behind...

They need to take more pride, and have a little respect for the people that are there. I was there on Friday and there were a lot of headstones that were almost completely covered with grass, or covered by dirt. This is unacceptable. There were also a lot of headstones that were coming loose, a few I could actually pick up. Families have paid a lot of money to lay their loved ones to rest at your park!!! MAINTAIN IT, it's you, It was nice to hear directly back from the park. I went back the other day and it was like going to a new park, very impressed with the work they are doing! When my father died, we called for the Mission Mortuary Services. Michael & Jimmy were so compassionate and thoughtful and came prepared with a special attention for my Veteran father.. Michael walked us carefully through all of the Mortuary arrangements and helped to us to understand next steps. Truly, all of the folks in the office were kind and patient as we worked through our grief. And when we were ready, we worked with Grace on the Cemetery arrangements and she graciously showed us around and explained all of our options. On the day of the visitation and funeral, Michael and Grace, and others from the office, were on-hand to lend assistance and Michael did a very fine job organizing the order of events. Even though this was a very sad event planning situation, we are so grateful that we chose to use our Seaside Cemetery and Mission Mortuary. Very professional! read more

Really lovely location in Seaside, at the top of the hill with a beautiful ocean view. Visitors will feel the peace and serenity of this property. Much more private than many other local cemeteries, because it is surrounded by tall trees on the perimeters. Much smaller than Monterey's cemetery. read more

I am at a loss for words for the lack of ethics in such a pivotal time. Family Burial land is purchased & your business causes the burden of proof on the family? Lack of professionalism at the worse posible moments. Many times we visited & its an eye sore. Although we've made calls addressing the situation, no efforts were made to follow thru, just excuses. It is with mixed feelings I submit this review. Hopefully after speaking with Victor things will get smoothed out. Grace was initially ok, but it turned into an awful used car salesman nightmare towards the end. Before my father was even buried it was a huge "it's not her fault" commentary between what information she had and the local mortuary in my fathers town provided her. Apparently my mother and I should have known quite a bit before my father passed on how to handle these things. Like for examples who coordinates the military honors for burial, having never done this I should have known the mortuary did this and not the place he was being laid to rest. How silly of me for not knowing this days after dad passed. I think the most disturbing part was Grace kept trying to point fingers at everyone else who messed up. I had to tell her I didn't care how we got here. I cared how it got fixed. The woman was so consumed with nothing being her fault she failed at being compassionate to the people she was supposed to be helping. The follow up visit after burying my father entailed picking out the marker which apparently really just felt like a horrible car sales process for my mom's impending death as they just facilitate submitting paperwork for the family to the VA. I was promised a copy of the completed paperwork, it it never arrived. (Remember this for later in the review). Grace then proceeded to ask us how she did because surveys are important and she's got one to fill out. Mind you, her fill out a survey on our experience with her. We did not get to leave with it, nor did she ask us how experience with her was after her trying to commit my mom to purchasing her own funeral items after she just buried her husband. Classy. Of course had I been able to fill this out afterwards her used car sales tactic would have mentioned. My poor mother overwhelmed by losing her husband and having this woman pester her to purchase funeral items for her apparent impending demise. Fast forward to today. Grace calls my mom to tell her the marker is wrong. The marker than we never got a copy of the paperwork for. A marker that Grace had my mom sign and then filled out the balance of it after we left. She tells my mom the marker is wrong and it's ultimately the family's responsibility to fix it. Hmm. Great job Grace! How can someone fix something you never provided copies for or a way to contact them. But I'll be darn certain Grace provided plenty of information for planning my mom's funeral; my mom can even finance her own death! Great info to give a grieving woman who her children were often worried she wouldn't survive her husband passing because she said so. Can you give a month or two before you start trying to earn your commission??? On a side note, I guess fail to follow through is common since she pestered to send my mom a quote for when she dies and did not. read more

James and Micheal treated my loved one with delicate care which left a dear memory during a fragile time. They, along with Wesley accommodated my requests with honor. I will give 2 stars only because the actual service and everything leading up to the service was fine. No issues at all. After the service was when we started having problems. My mother passed away at the end May last year. Her service was the first weekend in June. We had a little financial trouble after so we were a little late ordering a grave marker. We finally ordered it at the end of July from a company online that was only a couple miles from this location. They said a couple weeks to make it and they would send an email as soon as it was shipped. No problem. I got busy and finally around the end of October I emailed the people who made it and they replied that it had been delivered on August 22nd to Mission Memorial Park. I emailed the guy who i was told was in charge of our arrangements, John. He emailed me back and told me that there was a $275 fee to install the grave marker. I asked why we were never informed that the marker had came in and he said he left messages with my Dad and brother, which i confirmed with them that was incorrect. Anyway, my Dad called to pay the fee and they immediately got him completely mixed up with someone else. They thought he was trying to order a marker not just have it installed. They finally got it figured out then said they needed him to sign a contract and send it back which he did. We assume they might be a little busy and gave them some time. Well months go by again and we go to visit now in the beginning of April and it's still not out!!!! I am beyond pissed at this point. It's been 6 months since we paid the fee and it's still not installed. Unfortunately when we went it was a Sunday so they were closed. I live out of state so when I got home i called them to find out what was going on. I had to leave a message and was told someone would call me back. A week later i still hadn't heard nothing. I emailed both the place that made it and this place again to confirm they got it. I received proof from the company that made it but heard nothing from this place. My Dad finally called them and spoke with someone and they said they didn't have it!!! My Dad told them to check again and call him back. They did and they found it. They said they would install it within 7 days. Almost 2 weeks later and almost 9 months after they received it, the marker has FINALLY been installed. No apologies at all. VERY unprofessional. If you have a choice, don't come here. read more

SCAM please people do not waste your money there. Your loved once deserve better place than mission memorial cemetery. My best friend is suffering with the poor management, lack of respect, and lack of responsibility. Works ethics dosen't and honesty doesn't exist in that place. My friend spent $12,500 so far and he still can't get his papers done. My best friend called the manager demanded a detailed receipt of the changes he paid. The manager's answer was you don't get to demand anything and if you come to the office we will kick you out. I mean who says that to a customer? To foundation partners, regarding mission memorial cemetery..... I have taken notice that this cemetery has fallen to a degree that isn't in any way being kept up to our standard as locals here on the monterey peninsula! It sadden me knowing that I have love ones laid to rest here.. The most recent graves are not completed, there are at least seven (7) graves are left undone, no sod being put in place after a grave is has been closed up. You put in some nice hedges and sod, but that shop in the area up top needs to be cleaned or torn down.... The employees are always hiding up there...... not working...... to make.a.long story short..... we just buried a family member and above our son and mothers grave are dirt mounds, on our graves. There are no name plates on any of them.... it's been discussed among many families. We are a close nit community. please let us see change soon. There are weeds and debris everywhere all throughout the premises. Please clean up the place and do what you have promised. read more

WORST customer service I have ever had in my life from Dennis to Paul the manager. The employees have lack of respect, organization, responsibility, and communication. No work ethics and no integrity. The place is just a total mess and I'm highly disappointed. When my dad past away I wanted to bury him the next day so he can RIP. My dad past away on Friday and thanks to mission memorial we couldn't bury him until Wednesday. They kept delaying his service by giving us lame excuses. We got charged 5000 for service idk why since me and my two brothers provided everything. We washed his body even buried him with our own hands. After all we paid around 12000 that is pretty expensive. Two weeks ago I visited the office to correct my mother's name on my dad's death certificate. They said it will cost $21 per copy which I was fine with. I told them to correct it and I will pay it. I need this death certificate to be done so I can travel and sort out the inheritance back home. They said we are on it and we will get it done. I called the office yesterday trying to see what's the status? A lady answered the phone and said she will check and call me back. Of course no called me back so I had to visit the office today. I walked in there and saw Dennis and I asked him what happened to the death certificate? Dennis answered back oh we did not send it. He lied to me and said we called and left a voicemail. Not my mom, my brother, nor me got any miss call or voicemail. Thanks a lot for your excellent customer service that cost 12000 and not even an apology. My mother passed after years of dealing with Alzheimer's. It was a lovely memorial and the next day a cruise to spread my mother's ashes. Lovely weather and a lovely day! Absolutely disgusted with the Cemetery. My grandfather passed away and the broker "Norma" was very unprofessional and very unorganized. When families are grieving the last thing they should worry about the respect their loved ones being buried. My grandfather did not have grass on his burial site, and when my family asked about it the woman "Mary" mentioned grass was ordered after 10 sites are filled. His tombstone was another issue. Till this day he still has not received it. It has been over 3 months and the Broker said it would only be 3 weeks. This is ridiculous!!!!! read more
