Because we hadn't closed on the home yet, Carlos gave me a bid based on Zillow pics and the square footage of the house. We agreed on a price and arranged for him to actually come look at the property once we closed. Even after looking at the job, he still remained firm that he he could do the job for the previous quote and agreed on a start date that worked for both of us. He actually even contacted me to say he could start the job earlier than expected but then got nothing but excuse after excuse with delays. I had to delay my carpet install by 2 days and even then, the work wasn't done. Carlos and 4-5 guys came the day after my carpets were installed and partially finished the job. He was supposed to come back to remove his trash from my garage, paint and reinstall can lights and registers. Every time I called or texted, it was "I'll get over there today to finish" and never did. I finally gave up and we finished the job ourselves AFTER paying even more than the agreed upon price (because he bid the job too low) LEASON LEARNED - STAY away from the too good to be true Craigslist ads, You really do get what ya pay for

Carlos is very loyal and honest! He noticed additional things in every project I have hired him for that needed to be addressed or fixed to properly do the job or to keep from having to redo portions of the work sometime in the future, such as subflooring in areas that were starting to rot but he identified and informed it should be addressed for everyone's peace of mind (and my pocket book down the road). I wasn't ready to pay more money but he gave a fair price for each addition and it was definitely well worth it!!! It is a piece of mind to know that by addressing each additional problem that arose I will not have future issues. There were many different extra ideas he had also expressed to make each project even better for no more or little more money than the initial contract. He has an eye for detail and saw things that even my detailed eye or my very OCD husband didn't see. He showed when he said he was going to or if running late would communicate with me to keep me informed and he was/is extremely fair!! He always made/makes sure that he and/or his employees would take care of my property and keep the job clean. I was even able to trust him working in my home while I ran a few errands here and there. Very hard to trust anyone these days, but I took a chance and he didn't let me down or take advantage. He is now and will forever be my go to guy for any of my future projects, of which I have more to schedule with him in the next year. I am very careful when recommending someone, especially to my friends or family. He hasn't disappointed me yet and I have had more projects/remodeling with him than I planned but he's done great work with fair pricing therefore I am comfortable with more projects! Work they did included moving a toilet in the water closet, tearing out the old shower in water closet, removing a too large tub and replacing it with a giant onyx shower, changing the window in shower to glass block, removing popcorn from vaulted ceiling, painting all walls and ceiling, installing heated floor with new tile and completely replacing the vanity and mirrors. Also switched out all hardware down to the doorknobs and installed new outlets and LED mirrors. They stuck to the exact budget proposed and finished a week early. Kept everything completely clean while in the house and always made sure we had access to our walk in closet in the master bath. All work was done with the highest craftsmanship and there was nothing that they needed to come back and fix. They were meticulous about ensuring anything around the painted area wouldn't be damaged (ie: counter tops, floors). Other two levels on top are 10' ceilings. It's tall, it's tough to paint. From the paint crew, there was virtually no paint prep beyond pressure washing the house before spraying with paint. The caulk around the windows has already failed three months later, nail holes are clearly visible, our metal roof is dented everywhere they stood and put ladders on it, our agreement that they would remove and replace all rotten wood amounted to the crew taking out one board and leaving enough shrapnel of that board on our roof to clog the gutter twice. They did take out another board when called back out. I think we need to completely repaint the house. Incredibly disappointed. We called them out I think three times to fix damage and re-caulk nail holes and still.... it just looks crappy. I should have turned back when I found out there was no contract to sign.

When coming over for the initial quote he offered some design tips like putting a colored tile stripe in the shower which really made it pop. The tile work they did on our shower and floor looks fantastic, as well as the rest of the work they did. Their price was very competitive with other contractors. Ultimately we choose Carlson because Chris went into detail about how he would seal up our shower that was leaking behind the walls, the materials he would use, etc. When other companies just threw out a number. Chris and his crew went above and beyond to make sure our bathroom was done right. I would definitely recommend them.

Visiting my elderly mother I noticed the paint pulling away where the chimney brick met the…read moreinterior walls. With all the rain this season I knew things would continue to worsen and I assumed it was a problem with the flashing. I contacted my insurance agent for a referral and he recommended KC Roofing & Restoration Solutions. This company was more than accommodating and promptly visited Mom's home to review the situation. The hard truth was that the company that had put the existing roof in place had used the incorrect flashing and it had pulled away. The flashing was not meant to be used on masonry. Charles was great to work with and explained what needed to be done with a quick turnaround on the estimate. He answered all my questions and now that the work is completed I am more than happy. During the process today, Charles provided me with photos of the different stages of the work - even found a good match for the existing roofing shingles and used waterproof membrane (like an honest roofer should!) before replacing the shingles and finishing with lead flashing (which is what should have been used previously). Oh, and I also had them replace the chimney "cap" as it was also contributing to the leaking issues. Highly recommend - did not want to have a mold remediation sometime down the road! Great value and peace of mind!
