My son has been attending KinderCare since 10 weeks old. He has been there for 2.5 years and we never had any issues at all. Every staff I have met has been nothing but courteous and professional. All my son's teachers from Ms. Marilyn, Ms. Sunalie, Ms. Sussy and his current teacher Ms. Melina are great! Anytime I have concerns I can easily speak with them or to Ms. Patty and Ms. Selena. The facility is always clean and they have strong safety protocols with this current covid situation going on. During the early 2020 covid shut down, my son actually missed being in school. There is always endless activities for him to learn there which I was not able to provide to him while working from home. I was super thrilled when they reopened again. Back to enriched learning!! While at work, I ALWAYS have a peace of mind when he is there. The teachers take their time to provide daily updates with pictures and videos. read more

This daycare does not show emotion with the kids they are taking care of. They do not sanitize the toys they all use a bottle spray and don't sanitize correctly , leaving the kids to get sick all the time. They all use the same codes to pick up your kids . I would suggest you bring your kids elsewhere & most definitely not here ! read more

My son attend KinderCare ages 9 months to 4 years old. I am overall satisfied with them and their staff.. A few minor hiccups but that's to be expected over 4 years. Horrible place. They combine infant and toddler together in the afternoon. My five months old infant got bitten by an older toddler. Instead of comforting a broken hearted new mother, the center director made it sound like it's not a big deal and told me her kids have got bitten in the past. Of course there is no apology, they did not even reassure me this is not going to happen again. I have withdrawn my baby girl after this incident. And would not recommend this daycare to anyone. Mission Grove KinderCare - My 5 months old infant got bitten by an older toddler during afternoon when KinderCare combines both infants and toddlers. - Preschools Near Me - Riverside, California

Me and my wife were happy with this place until recently. A little history... My son went to this KinderCare location and has moved on to a private school. My daughter has been going to this KinderCare for quite sometime and overall we have had a positive experience. 2 weeks ago my wife received a call from the Kindercare stating my daughter had lice and we needed to pick her up and get her treated for the lice before she could return back. So my wife was in a panic of course as we had no idea she had the lice as she had shown no symptoms "itching" and so on. My wife calls around for places that specialize in treating lice and none of them were available on such short notice but one we found in Temecula. My wife heads down to Temecula and the place that treats head lice and has been doing so for years says it is not lice and it is just cradle cap. My wife then contacts Kindercare and states that she does not have head lice and we would like to be reimbursed for our troubles and that we are not happy about the situation. The next day we take our daughter to school and when my wife picks up our daughter the teacher (Ms Viti) starts getting on my wife that the place we took her is wrong and that she knows what lice looks like and so on. At that moment we decided to look elsewhere as it was not professional for someone to act that way especially when they are not properly trained "obviously" in determining what head lice looks like. Come to find out the teacher just used her bare hands / finger nails to determine it was lice. Another note to current customers of this Kindercare location. They do not notify parents about any lice break outs via email / verbal / or a letter to each parent. You have to look either on the wall near the classroom. As a parent I would think they would inform parents that there was a child with lice found at the facility (Then again who knows if that was the case) but even then I would like to know and not have to hunt around for a small letter stating that lice was found. I would recommend to Patty who manages this location to properly have her staff trained on head lice and any other issues they could come across so there aren't any false alarms such as we encountered. Notify parents by email / letter of any issues at school instead of posting it on a wall or door that busy parents tend not to notice. Very unprofessional. To Patty's benefit she did refund us but when her staff gets angry with my wife and still pushes she was right, that was the last straw. As of this day my daughter does not have lice and they were flat out wrong. Having said that I would advise anyone looking into taking their kid to this location to explore other business's. We found another business that just opened that is top notch and happened to be cheaper. Go figure. read more

My review is long due for this amazing center ! I have been with KinderCare for about 3 years I have 3 kids enrolled and I must say they have been nothing but great to my family! My oldest started in Ms. Janice Class and I immediately saw a change in my son he was pushed to do better and I now see how the has helped him in his journey through elementary. He now enjoys the afterschool program with his favorite teacher Ms. Cynthia . Now with COVID he is doing distant learning from the center and if it wasn't for this center that offers this I would not be able to work and for that I am so thankful ! They also offer Tutoring and Ms. Mia has helped my son so much with development. She is so patient with him and the tutoring has been good to him. My second child started as a infant at 8 weeks and as mom with a new born its always scary but since he started not once have I felt that he was mistreated if anything he has been spoiled by everyone ! Ms. Susy treats the kids as if they are hers with so much love she is super sweet !! He is now with Ms. Melina and she is just as great! My Last baby started as little as 7 weeks at the center and she is currently with Ms. Raquel and I enjoy all the pictures she sends me constantly. She is loved at the center and Ms. Raquel is so good to her and always keeps her active with different activities and I could see how all this interaction is helping her. Lastly I could not forget Ms. Patty and Ms. Celina these ladies are lifesavers !! I run in circles most of the days and they make my life easier. Many times I forget things and not once have they made me feel like a bad mom. They are always there to answer all my questions and when I do have a concern they always listen to me. Overall I don't know what I would do without KinderCare Mission Grove they give working moms peace of mind. I know my kids are safe and loved by everyone I could not thank them enough! read more

I tried my best to give this place the benefit of the doubt, however I can give no more than 3 stars. This childcare center had a 2-3 great employees, however the staff as a whole is completely lacking. After we had realized that this center was the incorrect fit for our family, it was already too late to change, again. Just glad the adventure with KinderCare is now over. There was rarely a director or staff member at the front desk, during normal drop off/pickup hours... when staff was at the desk, they only ask you to leave a note or call to speak to the director. Very frustrating especially when it comes to concerns with your child's care. Like I said previously, a couple kind and caring employees, but overall, a lacking childcare center. I had a TERRIBLE experience here with my three year old daughter. She went to this location for maybe 3 months and I was so ready to get her out of this place. I felt like the teachers were disinterested in helping my daughter transition to her new environment and I picked her up many times while she was sitting alone with a tissue box crying (heartbreaking!). Whenever I picked up my daughter they were usually all playing outside and the teachers seemed to all be huddled together more interested in their personal lives that the children. I even had a teacher who found out where I worked ask me if I could give her a discount on product, totally unprofessional. The other issue I had was with the security of this place. Most times I would walk in through the front door area and there would be no one at the desk or in the office. Now I understand that there is a code for the door to access classrooms but one could easily go through the office to gain access to the classrooms. My last issue with this place is that not once but TWICE my check was lost somehow or not posted to the correct account. My balance on the computer was never being cleared but somehow the check was cleared in my account. I called to right the issue and was asked by the manager to provide a check number or possibly my bank statement to prove my payment! What a joke! That is the worst handling of money I have ever experienced from a seemingly reputable place. Never, ever again will I consider this place. Ever. read more

My 15 month old son has been going here for 3 months now. I honestly, don't know what the heck these other reviewers are talking about. I wasn't there before the change over, but i think maybe they are just the types who hate change. Patty and Sarah have been nothing but sweet and helpful to my son my husband and myself. The staff is also very nice and seem to love being there (which i don't know how the heck they deal with other people's kids all day. ...i would die) Yeah, my son was bit by another kid, and has fallen a few times. .... they're babies, what do you expect? Stuff is bound to happen, it's life. Get over it and move on. I've been contacted via phone everytime something happens and it's always documented. My son has been enrolled at this day care since he turned 1 years old, about the same time the new director began. He's almost 2 now. I gave the center 4 stars because the facility is well kept, the staff is friendly, the director is always willing to work with us financially, and the curriculum has exceeded my expectations. 1. My husband and I visiting 4 or 5 different day care centers before choosing this one. The facility was clean and very child friendly. The only downside is there are no cameras in the rooms, but caretakers must use a key code to enter into the classrooms. 2. With the exception of one teacher, I have only had positive interactions with the staff. That's not to say everything has gone smoothly, but largely it has been a matter of communication. It was a learning process in the beginning as the teachers, my husband and I were trying to get on the same page with my son's eating (vegetarian) and play habits. The biggest positive is the teachers have always expressed genuine concern for his well-being, and have made sure he is well taken care of. If the day didn't go as planned, they would let me know and we would problem-solve together to figure out what we can do differently. As communication improved, my interactions with the one teacher got significantly better as well. 3. There have been certain times when we weren't able to pay the registration or tuition on time, and the director and staff have never given us grief about it. In fact, it seems like the director never even thinks twice about it - maybe because we keep our promises and pay when we say we will. Not sure, but either way, all she asks is that we communicate our situation with her. 4. Every. Single. Day. my son is being taught new concepts, the alphabet, counting, numbers - everything I would like to do with him at home, but can't because I am working. My infant son has been at this facility for a few months now and I am so happy with his care. The transition from staying home with him to working was made possible because of these ladies. My baby is happy, fed, and clean everyday when we pick him up. They do age appropriate activities for the babies and it's totally adorable. The updates and pictures that we get daily are wonderful! My son is enrolled in KinderCare for their kindergarten program and it has been a true blessing. Not only have they been able to keep me sane during this unpredictable and difficult time, but my son has been excelling and has really enjoyed both the curriculum and his teacher. Ms. Janice has been wonderful and everyone at the center has made us feel supported and has always been available to answer questions especially as we navigate through this unprecedented time. They take all the health precautions necessary and make sure to communicate with parents if there is ever a health concern or question. I have nothing but good things to say about all the teachers I've met and the directors. I've been meaning to write a review about this place but as a mom duties got the best of me so this is a little late however I would still like to share that my families experience with this place was nothing but amazing and the staff was always awesome. My oldest went here first for a couple years and then every summer when school was out she would come here. She really enjoyed it. Put my other babies in here too since infants and toddler classes and they loved it. To this day my kids miss and love this place and get excited anytime we pass by! They never had any negative experiences with the teachers sometimes they get kids in there who are a little reckless but that's the parents fault not the teachers. The teachers aren't going to discipline the kids other than time out and I've sat in and been there to see how hard the teachers try and keep each and every student in line and they're patient! Thank you to all the teachers who helped teach my children and all the wonderful memories you've given them! Thank you to Ms. Patty you always had the place in order and organized. My daughter was supposed to start kindergarten this year, but RUSD decided to go all virtual due to the covid-19 pandemic. Luckily, I found kindercare who was offering in person instruction for kindergarten. They have safety measures in place that make me very comfortable- the kids wear masks and do a temp/symptom check everyday. Plus small class size. I think she is in good hands and I can tell she is learning so much! I am so glad I made the decision to enroll her for in person instruction. I am so disappointed. My son went to kindercare 8years ago and they were amazing. My nephew is now in kindercare and they are doing horrible. Granted he does have some behavior issues but the refuse to use time out. They isolate and redirect to rewards like art. They have the kids sitting all day. My nephew is missing 121 assignments so no school work is being done what so ever. We have supported diciplen supported education but they are not doing their part! For a thousand dollars a month they are doing a piss poor job. read more

My daughter attended daycare here for a couple of months. At first she and I were pretty apprehensive. She's never been to daycare! She was part time here and would come after school (school age). She also attended during the summer and occasionally full days during this time. During summer they do weekly field trips and have fun activities for the kiddos (water day etc). My daughter really loved it here and was actually sad when school stated and I pulled her out. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful! Miss Taylor in particular is amazing. My daughter loved her! My daughter has been attending since she turned 1 & she is now 4 and still attends! Unfortunately a lot has changed since the new director & assistant director came aboard. I'm not sure if I just don't like change or the vibe of the new staff & seems unorganized. I gave it time but can not wait for my daughter and the kids she grew up with to start public school. Checks are deposited in bulk and every time my child has an accident it's a mystery as to how/what happened. I pay a lot I would expect proper supervision for my child. My son was COMPLETLEY disrespected by a teacher on duty. When I brought this up to the director she came across as very uninterested, for lack of a better word. I asked her when the teacher planned on apologizing to my son for her behavior - and she responded by telling me she would not force a teacher to do such a thing! I was appalled! This was the worst experience of childcare I have ever experienced. My daughter was there from the age of 1 to age 2.5 roughly and at first I loved it before I was aware of the level of unprofessionalism. The center director Ms Patty tries to over charge with lack of receipts to show why and where the charges come from but this is the least of concerning behavior. Out of nowhere my daughter started to have constant reoccurring fevers that lasted 5-6 days at a time every 21 days or so and frequently missed school which still had to be paid. There have been cases of lice that parents weren't notified about until 3-4 days after outbreak. Mind you we see the staff twice a day. I walked in early for pick up one day and caught a teacher holding my daughter on the toilet forcing her while crying to use the potty. Then there were many cases of Hand Foot Mouth Disease that were NEVER mentioned to me even after knowing my child was easily made sick. My fiancé contracted it and misses 10 days of work and Ms Patty had the nerve to tell me the steamed the floors and that was protocol. Ummmmm how about the common areas where ALL the parents use sign out pens, or the bathroom or toys etc... or notify the parents so they can make other arrangements to keep their children healthy. Ms Patty was VERY rude and condescending about the matter and still charged me for the summertime program which I had to go to corporate to get back. I was informed by another teacher that they had food shortages periodically do they further rationed meals. For $335 a week that shouldn't be an issue. Lack of communication and lack of parent/child respect is a serious issue when it comes to the care of children. If I could give this place zero stars I would! It is awful and I believe if the director was changed it would hopefully make a difference. I started to realize how bad it was when my daughter started to get anxiety and throw up in the car as soon as we got to the center parking lot in the morning. I visited this kindercare location and I am appalled by how rude, unprofessional and unethical the director was in regards to a simple request to tour the facility, met my daughter's teacher and ask more questions about their curriculum. Upon leaving in dissatisfaction, I found a 6 year old girl standing alone in the parking lot unattended. The safety of the children and parental rights are not respected nor are they enforced at this location. Do not enroll your children because although they might have key pads on their classroom, they obviously don't have the staff to keep your children safe. read more

My child has been attending here for 2 years now.. I interviewed multiple daycares and in home nanny's but when I went in to tour this Kinder Care I was beyond amazed with how wonderful the staff was. I got to meet just about all the teachers along with the Manager Patty and assistant manager Selena, both of whom answered all my questions and put my concerns at ease.. both of them have always been quick to answer or resolve any of my concerns.. Now as for the teachers, I've gotten to know most of them and they all are just what you'd hope your child's teachers/caretakers would be. I do have to give some major praise to Miss Viri or Viti as the children all call her and Miss Shawna the amount of compassion these two have for the kids makes me feel so comfortable and happy especially with how excited my child is to see them and all the other teachers in the facility. Honestly Every parents has those hard morning with their toddlers and if it wasn't for the teachers quick thinking to engage my child and create a atmosphere that she feels safe and loved in those rough morning would always turn into good mornings. Miss Viri and Miss Shawna have really helped my child to excel in her vocabulary, writing and just speech in general. The bad reviews I've seen on here just leave me speechless, because my husband and myself have never had a bad experience with any of the staff here let alone any problems with how things are done, we are always informed right away of things happening or changing in the facility so people saying that they arent getting notifications or being spoken to rudely has not been the case for our family or friends that's attended here. I am currently a parent at this center. My daughter has been attending since she was in the toddler class and she is now in preschool. I recently was told by another parent about the bad reviews my child's school was getting and I wanted to make sure I told people my positive experiences at this center. I too don't like change very much but the new center director has made great changes to the center. I always see her talking to the children and my child every morning without fail will give big hugs to her at the front desk before I drop her off to her class. I have had no issues with depositing checks together. , but then again I balance my checkbook frequently. I was reading over some of the reviews and it seems to be people who were angry about getting disenrolled. These people should just move on. read more

Our family has come to rely upon the director, assistant director and staff at Kindercare Mission Grove for three years now. They provide before and after-school care for our daughter, and this staff continues to amaze me with their level of care and professionalism. When I received a call about the need to make other arrangements for before school care, the Director, Pati, offered to accomodate our family until we were able to make other arrangements--which means that our daughter would ride the bus alone for a few weeks. Thankfully we were able to identify a family friend to help us out. We are grateful for Ms. Pati and the KinderCare Mission Grove staff. read more

I am so disappointed in how this place has changed due to the new center director Patty. My daughter has been attending since she was 5 months old. She will now be 2.She took over as the new center director as of December 2014.I was never not once notified about the changes that were going to be made. I came to the center and the codes to access my child had been changed..I asked to speak with the center director and was told she was no longer there. I then asked to speak with the assistant Center Director and was told she was no longer there either..Then proceeded to ask the two women who they were and what was going on. The woman's rude response to me was "you haven't been here for the last 2 weeks?"... Which I've come to find now that she is the district Center Director of KinderCare..How professional...wow.. For most of us parents that work and pick up our children on an everyday basis,come in in the morning and drop our children off with their teachers letting them know whether or not they have ate breakfast and what kind of mood they are in... Every morning I drop my child off there is no one ever sitting at the front desk..For those two weeks I had came to pick up my daughter the women were inside the office with the doors closed..i never not once was greeted or introduced to these women..So I never thought anything about any changes being made..When I came in that day as the codes were changed and couldn't access my child. I was asked if I was my daughters mom..keep in mind she just asked me if I hadn't been here for the last 2 weeks. I believe that in any daycare or any type of establishment that takes care of people's children they should be notified of any changes personally whether its verbally or with a written letter..I was floored that this women had asked me if I was my daughters mom but then proceeded to ask me if I had not been here in the last 2 weeks..So that just goes to show that she had no idea who I was or what relationship I had to my daughter..which is really scary since I had been dropping and picking her up.I was so upset and lost my cool..I would've thought that if somebody was taking over a school and was running the center that my child stays in on every day basis that sitting at the front and introducing yourself to every parent and child and letting them know if at any time you have any questions or concerns that they could feel free to always call would have been a main priority..Since that day occurred Patty has continuously messed with me. A week later I had a paper clipped on to my sign in sheet saying that I owed $37.80..I didn't owe anything and had always paid in full so I told her once she could provide me with paperwork saying where the $37 came from I'd be more than happy to pay it but until then I wasn't giving them the money..she couldn't provide me with documentation which I think made her even more mad. Two weeks after that she then told me that my contract was going to be voided and my tuition would be going up $10 a week..she kept messing with me ..my daughter was then sick and had to wait 24hrs to come back and instead of calling me and asking if everything was alright she called my worker to to discontinue my child care..luckily my worker caught on to how she was messing with me and called me to make sure. She is such a vindictive person. I ended up puting in my two weeks after that.I was over her messing with me.The next morning a woman was at the front crying and asking to change Kindercare because this place has turned into a joke! I then knew I was doing the right thing and getting her out of there. At this point I couldn't even stand to look at Patty's face..so deceitful and such a nasty woman..When I saw her not nice words were exchanged and she decided to discontinue my child care that day..Which I'm glad she did because I no longer felt safe leaving my child there. She's the type of person that would be mean to your kid because she don't like you. At the end of the day it's just really sad for the children and the teachers who really love their job and have bonded with these children that now are being pulled out left and right from this center..I want to make it clear that I have never had an issue withe any other staff person besides her. I came from the Moreno Valley Kindercare to this one. Both are very clean. Most of the staff was friendly. Director is sweet and willing to work with your needs. However, my son had a hard time adjusting to Daycare again after being kept home for a month in between changing centers. He was never thrilled to come to "school" I felt this had a large part to do with one of his teachers. I once walked in there to him crying hard, and she didn't notice I walked in. She said in a mean voice "I'm not going to help you". I walked straight passed her, to the gate grabbed him and consoled him myself. I was very upset, but didn't want to cause drama so I didn't say anything. I ended up switching centers again a month later. He's no longer at Any Kindercare facilities, and I have noticed a huge change in behavior for him. He is excited to go to school now. He loved his "friends" and teachers. After my experiences with Kindercare and seeing how my son is so happy at his other facility, I would not recommend it. read more
