This is now mission fuel --- I had a really frustrating experience at Mission Fuel when I stopped by around midnight to put air in my tires. The attendant rudely told me I had to buy gas first, but I drive a Tesla, so that's not exactly possible! I pointed this out, and he just shrugged and told me to swipe my card at the air pump instead. I've never had to pay for air before, especially since most stations are happy to let customers use the air pump without buying anything. Who wants to pay for air? I know all they need to do is just press button to turn it on. He was acting like it was coming out of his own pocket . My car was running on empty empty. It got a little scary as I forgot about it until I heard a beep. Thank you TP for the beep! I had to find the closest gas station fast. I don't do generic gas brands unless it's Costco, Sam's Club, Pilot, Love's, Flying J, Phillips 66, and maybe a few more that I can't think of their names right now. Anyway, I found this Mobil gas station right on time at the chiny chin chin LOL. It wasn't too busy at the time. Pulled right up to a pump, didn't even pay attention to the gas price (I needed gas at any cost LOL), started the pump, and as I was waiting, I snapped a few pics. First time ever, the gas attendant from inside the food mart walked up to me and kindly asked me if anything was wrong. He saw me taking pictures and wondered why. I said no and gave him my reason for taking pics. He calmly said okay + be careful as certain people (aka skimmers) take pictures, too, smiled, and walked away. Do NOT take your car here for smog check! They will fail you in the visual section done by the mechanic, and they only offer retest if you do the repairs with them which is very shady. I took my car to another smog check test center for a 2nd opinion, and I was told that since I had just serviced my car a couple days before, my car wasn't ready to be tested and needed to be driven more. Arcadia Mobile Center failed to inform me of this and tested the car fully knowing that it wasn't going to pass since the monitors were not ready. Then they had the audacity to tell me that I need $100 worth of repairs, and I would only get a "courtesy" retest if I did the repairs with them. It was already unprofessional that they didn't tell me that the car was not ready to be tested. I later got my car tested at another smog check center, and it passed with no problems. I was here last Friday for brake and light inspection for my Ford Expedition. The mechanic told me its $99.95. When I came back after 30 min, I was told it failed with a few problems from the manager or the owner. I did not feel comfortable with this guy and was pressured to pay more to pass the inspection. He told me that re-inspection would cost me $35 plus $7 for the certificates if I come back after the all the repairs. I left this place cause I couldn't trust them based on their practice. I was the the repair shop owner 20 years ago. Most people don't know how the inspection works nor other repairs and inspection such as smog inspection. I was frustrated and mad on the facts that they did not explain whole procedure about the inspection such as the additional charge in case it fails. If I was informed properly, I would not leave the car and would check all the light beforehand. They also failed to offer me the repair cost to pass the inspection. So, I went to A1 auto repair shop in Winnetka and Saticoy in the valley where I usually go for any repairs. I fixed everything with a reasonable cost. I came back today for re-inspection 8am to this place. The owner was not in yet and I left the car to the mechanic. I was told it would take 15 to 20 min for the re-inspection. When I came back they haven't started the work. I had to fill out the work order again to begin with which I could have done it when I left my car earlier this morning. I was told they will get to my car as soon as the mechanic is available. I'm still waiting at 9:20am. I'm not ever coming back here. Be aware of their mal-practice!!! read more

If you love getting ripped off, come to this station to get your car "fixed". This is the best place to waste your hard earned money. Yelp should have negative ratings. Day 1 of dealing with these con artists: My car needed a clutch repair, it was not drivable because the pedal was stuck to the ground. My car was on my street, called AAA to get it towed the the shop. The tow truck driver tells me "he knows a guy" that is AAA certified and can fix my car for a cheaper price than the other shops (this place charged $850 compared to $1900 - should've known better since it sounds too good to be true, which was the case). Tow guy says he takes his car there all the time! I thought to myself, why not since it's AAA certified. Got it towed there. Spoke to Vic, the shop owner. He told me it will be fixed in a few days. Day 2 of dealing with these incompetent folks: Mechanic called me to come to the shop so he can show me what is wrong. He shows me something related to the axle bearing that need to be fixed because its failing. Sure, thanks for being honest. Another ~$100 down the drain. Day 3 of dealing with these crooks: This was about 3 or 4 days after. The shop mechanic called me and said it was fixed. Great. I go pick up the car and drive home. Fantastic, it feels just like new. Day 4, next day from picking up the car: Drove to work fine. Then during my break in the afternoon (3pm), I drove to Costco to get gas. While I'm in line for gas....boom..clutch pedal stuck to the ground again. I call the shop and they say no problem, its under warranty. Ok fine. I end up pushing the car to a parking spot. WALK BACK TO WORK FROM COSTCO. Wait until 7pm for AAA to pick me up from work and drive to Costco to get my car. Unfortunately this tow truck had to pickup another car on the way. He helps me drop off the car back to this gas station. I end up getting home around 12am. Day 5, next day I get a call while at work (had to borrow someone's car to get around): He says: "Oh the problem is the clutch slave cylinder, it is not covered, you will have to pay an extra $400 and ~$230 for the tow fee." Are you fucking kidding me? I came to you for your expertise for a clutch job, is the clutch slave cylinder completely ignored when you replace the clutch????? You don't check this part but you had time to check the axle bearing????? After speaking to three other shops, they all mentioned that this is a key component that is checked when replacing the clutch. This place did not budge. AAA was less than helpful. So afterwork I had to get the car towed from the shop back to my house because I don't trust these crooks. Day 6, new mechanic: Get my car towed to an ASE certified mechanic in Fontana, recommended by a friend. He takes apart the clutch, low and behold, the whole assembly was installed incorrectly!! We took photos and sent it to AAA to let them know that the mechanics at this gas station are fraudulent and incompetent. Again, AAA didn't really care. Whatever. At this point, I just want to fix my car. I'm out another $900. At least this new place was affordable and actually fixed my car. Been driving it for over 2 months and have no issues. This place is desperate for customers. I wouldn't trust them to do repairs or maintenance beyond oil changes. Anything else is difficult for their knowledge. I was told it would be about an hour. So I waited. They started working on it after an hour. Then kinda stopped working on it. After they spent 15 minutes jockeying cars around and getting new cars into the garage I asked the manager and he told me they ran out of oil... Huh.. I asked for DEISEL oil. (Which the manager tried talking me out of. After listening to him and taking with him for 10 + minutes he conceded and said ok to my request.) He said ok, but apparently didn't know they were out of that oil. And didn't order it until after they started, and after I waited almost 2 hours. Finally got the oil delivered from somewhere. (They needed 4 qts to finish, but they only ordered 1gal. This means the next person who needs DEISEL order will have to wait too) So, after very close to 3 hours I hey the bill. $51.00 for an oil change. This place was such a rip-off. My '03 Civic was due for both an oil change and a Smog check. I saw the signs advertising both services and a AAA rating so I decided to pull in on my way home from work one afternoon. I was told the service would take an hour and that I'd be notified if there were any issues. After not hearing back after 2 hours, I called them myself. I was told that the oil change was complete but that the vehicle failed Smog. (WHAT?! How does a Civic fail smog?!) In order for them to tell me what the problem was, they'd have to run a diagnostic in the morning (it was 5 pm by then) at a cost of $62, which I was told would be credited toward services if the repairs were completed there. The next morning, my husband and I went down to the station and were told asked if we had noticed any slippage because our transmission needed to be rebuilt due to worn clutch. He also told us we needed a new Knock Sensor. We told him we'd be back in a week to replace the knock sensor but that we'd have to figure out what to do about the transmission because of the cost. As we drove home, my husband and I both discussed how uncomfortable we felt about the transmission issue as neither of us had experienced any slippage issues driving the vehicle. Three days later, the car completely shut down and died. Turns out, our alternator had gone out and needed to be replaced. We took the vehicle to Arcadia Ultimate Automotive (great work!) to have it repaired. When my husband went to pick up the car, he was told there were no issues found with the transmission or the knock sensor but that it's possible the alternator problems caused a false smog reading. However, a true and proper diagnostic would have revealed the problem to be the alternator not the transmission. We took the car back to Arcadia Mobil Service Center for a re-smog a few days later only to be told we would have to pay the entire smog fee all over again. A sign that only a week earlier had read "Re-Smog $15" now read "Pre-Smog $15" with a handwritten "P" on a pre-printed sign. Furious, we left and took the car to Arcadia Smog Test Only Center where we were told that our poor Civic was the third vehicle he'd seen that week after issues with Arcadia Mobil Service Center. Oh, the car passed smog too! Oh, did I mention they're advertised price for oil changes is also a lie? They advertise on their window oil changes are $15.95 Mon-Fri. They charged us $19.95. When we inquired about the price difference, we were told it was because they used a premium oil. When I dropped the car off, I was not asked if I wanted them to use a premium oil. Nor was I informed of their intentions. After the "transmission" problem, I seriously doubt they actually used a premium oil. I say DEFINITELY "Buyer Beware" when you take your car to them. If I had the option, I wouldn't be giving them any stars at all in my rating. Definitely get a second opinion if they tell you there is a problem and DON'T pay for their so-called diagnostic. I had my 97 Mercedes e320 oil changed for $50. They initially quoted me $20 something but when I pulled the car in the garage, the owner changed the price to $50. Initially before I pulled in, he quote me the lower price though. That is a lot. I had a 98 BMW 528 oil change before with good price and good service. So back to my Mercedes oil change, the oil guy was too lazy to take out the oil pan and the oil splattered oil all over the rubber oil pan. When I got home, oil drippeed also. I went here for an oil change. It was a great experience. I really needed one and I didn't want to drive all the way to my usual shop. There is a sign that says SUVs and larger vehicles pay more and they told me that before I handed over my keys to them. I waited 30 min for the oil change, and I was given a thorough inspection report about what they recommended for my vehicle. I was able to pay with my Mobil card also which was great. I ended up taking my Jeep to my usual, trustworthy shop, and all the things they pointed out really did need to be fixed. read more

After I got my tank filled I went to the cashier and ask him if I can use the restroom,he told me that they doesn't have one. I know he was lying because I used before. AVOID THIS MOBIL SERVICE STATION at the corner of Duarte and Baldwin in Arcadia. I wish I could read from Charles and Jon before I went there with my friend. We called in on Wed to quote a set of new tires. But when we got there on Saturday, the owner/manager (Vic Mankerian) told us he needed to charge extra $2/tire for disposal fee because it is Saturday. My friend was still okay with this and pull her car to the garage. Once the technician pulled the car into garage, he asked my friend to sign an invoice; then he started to write extra charges on the invoice. We refused to get any services, then the owner stated that we still need to pay $25 servicing fee for load up and down for the car. I told him to release the car to us and he said my friend has already signed the paperwork. My friend then asked him only to change oil instead trying to avoid the crazy servicing fee. Then he keeps saying we need to do all the things because of the signature or pay $25.00 I have to raise the voice and argue with him to let other customers in the gas station know how he cheats on his customers. I also agree with Charles that he was pointing to the window behind him stating how good he is. (I'm Chinese, and the writing looks like copy from google translator) I requested to have a copy of estimate, but he refused to give us any paperwork. When we left, my friend overheard that Vic Mankerian asked his staffs to write down my license plate number (my friend and I drive our own car) and try to find where I live. Then I bring my friend to the auto services in Alhambra (5 stars rating in Yelp) because of honesty. In short, DON'T go to the Mobil gas station at the corner of Baldwin and Duarte in Arcadia unless you want to be cheated. Because of what my friend overheard about my car, I have filed a police report just in case. Also I have written a letter to Mobil Corp because I'm sure this kind of BAD services (individual services store) will affect the whole franchise. With the receipt, the manager gave me a 10% discount on "any work performed next time" and a list of suggested work the car needs, such as a radiator flush, change of belts. When the same car's water pump blew, I took the car to this same Mobil station. Cost: $320. When I presented the 10% discount card, the manager started making several excuses why he would not honor the discount card. First, he said I needed to present the discount card when I first brought the car to him for repairs. Then he said the 10% discount only counted toward those repairs jobs he listed after the initial oil change. The discount card includes no such limitations. I used to bring my car here a while back. The owner, Vic, is a very straight forward/blunt type of guy - but I never had issues with him like some of the other reviewers. He was always super nice to me. At the time they did such good work on my car I suggested them to my husband (then boyfriend) and my mother. Both my husband and I have older cars and they were able to fix any problems just fine. But my mother has been put through the wringer. They have deceived her over and over, not fixing the problems with her car. Also it seems like her car ends up in even worse condition. What a waste of time and money! They haven't recharged her to try to fix the problems, but they can't seem to fix her car period. Why not be honest and tell her they are UNABLE to work on her car??!! She took her car to another mechanic and they recommended she take her car to so-in-so who is better equipped to handle the job. At least THAT mechanic was HONEST!!
