I was on my way to Hop Cafe in Arcadia one evening. I noticed my car gas tank was close to empty again. I needed a gas station quick. 76 gas station was about less than one mile away. I was on my way here... It's a small gas station with 8 pumps at the corner of Baldwin Ave and Lower Azusa Rd. Lights were bright and grounds were clean. No other cars were here at the time. I didn't go inside to pay as I prefer to pay at the pump. Hence, I didn't have any encounter with employees. I took a peek inside the food mart, but I didn't see anyone. That's how it usually is for me at any gas station unless the pump is out of paper and I really want a receipt, then I would walk in and ask for one. Or when I need to use the women's restroom. Word on the street is that the American Gas down the street at Baldwin Ave. and Olive St. is the same owner of this gas station. Before this Unocal 76, it used to be a Mobil that Frank and Sharon used to own. Are you surprised about the little bit of history of this location I bestow upon you? This location used to be a service station where they did work on your cars and pump your gas if you really want but I really doubt that. Well, the point of this review is to finally put this location on the map since it's been here for almost a year at this point. Competitive gas prices but I don't think anyone can beat Arco prices. I certainly would prefer 76 over Arco gas but really tempting since prices have rose to another all time high. Today is $4.19 for 87, outrageous and this is one of the lowest in the area. read more

Amanda is a terrible clerk. I went to buy cigarettes but forgot my wallet at home, I did not realize this until i was at the register. As soon as she is about to hand me the cigarettes she asked for my ID, as i reached back and noticed i did not have my wallet and told her so, she had this attitude on her, and snapped them back and said "Nope you dont get cigarettes". Im all for IDing people and making sure yougins dont buy cigarettes, but the style and way she acted is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I remebered i had my passport in the car, so without a word to her i walked out to my car and came back with my passport and she sold me the cigarettes. after paying i did let her know that she was pretty rude, and to my disbelief, she continued being RUDE. so i ignored her rudeness and just asked for her name; and with the biggest smart aleck facial expressing (as if she did nothing wrong, as if she "won" her imaginary battler) she tells me her name. the worse part of this experience is that as she tells me her name with that terrible smile on her face, the lady on the next register yells out "And im Sheila the store Manager" mind you i hadn't shared more than 10 words with any of these employees to receive this type of rude behavior. What sucks is that they have a "manager" on staff who acts like this. Instead of trying to be the middle person she was immature and had no manager experience, she lacks lots of it. read more

This is the cheapest gas I've found around here, excluding cash-only & membership gas stations (i.e. ARCO, Sam's Club). The station is positioned a bit awkward. It only has 8 pumps, so it's not that big. Be careful when using the pumps closest to the intersection. I've seen cars go over the curb trying to exit the station. Also, if you're heading south on Baldwin, make sure you make a left on Lower Azusa. This station isn't open 24 hours like other places. But for the cheap price it offers, it's worth it =) read more

My new go to gas station since it is cheap and on my way home. They used to have no credit price but they have it now. Not the cheapest 76 in Temple City area, the Duarte and Las Tunas locations are a few cents cheaper. Mobil down the street on Baldwin and Olive has a competitive price as well. Very small station and on a hill so getting in and out is difficult sometimes. read more

Cheap gas but be careful of the duo who are driving an old Honda car. They will back up really fast and will make it look like it's your fault. Their "witness" is their ally, an old man lurking in this gas station. Try asking for the CCTV footage and they won't let you see it. Will never come back to this place. read more

Constantly gets better! They are always improving service, snacks, competitive pricing, etc.

Although I dread getting gas during each fill up (Remember the days when gas was only a dollar?), I do prefer to go to this gas station, or the 76 nearby on the corner of Arden and Valley (Usually the prices are the same). Careful though, because recently they have been putting two signs, one for credit/debit, and the other for cash (go figure). The cash is the cheaper price naturally, and it grinds my gears missing the credit sign (happens often) because I usually use credit (build points) and then I find out that that not so bad price is actually the cash price! Anyways, I usually go here because prices here are usually cheapest in the area (I'd say ranging from El Monte to Monterey Park area). It can get packed though during rush hour times so you might want to travel a little farther to go to the one on Valley if that's the case. It might also be important to note that 2 weeks ago when filling up, I noticed this gas station's price was the same price as the 76 on Mission and San Gabriel, and that never happens! I always thought the cheapest non-Arco gas station was the 76 station on Duarte and Rosemead - I am now standing here corrected. Plus, with the crazy @$$ construction [destruction] of the road on Rosemead and Duarte, this 76 Station will probably be my go-to. As mentioned in previous reviews, this gas station is pretty small, housing only 8 pumps. The driveway/aisles for the pumps are all single car width, so it becomes quite the challenge to maneuver around. But as is with most things in life, good things come to those who wait, and waiting is one thing you may doing quite a bit of at this gas station. Again, only 8 pumps, easy to plug aisles, easy to build up traffic tendencies. This gas station is really well lit, so I feel quite safe when filling my gas. Luckily for me, I was heading north on Baldwin, so I just pulled in from the west entrance. Again, as mentioned in a previous review, be careful when approaching this gas station as you can easily expose yourself to bad traffic - I guess the price you safe at the pump is the price you pay for visiting this seemingly dangerous at times gas station. This is by far the worst gas station I have ever seen in my life. Just about all of the pumps are out of service. The remaining pumps that are open pump as slow as I've ever seen it could take you 30 minutes to fill up your tank in a car. read more

The cheapest name brand gas station in town. Name brand as in mobil, shell, yeah... The lanes are kind of small and there aren't that many pumps so you have to wait a little as this station causes a few traffic jams. However, the price makes up for it but beware there are two prices, one for credit/debit and one for cash. read more

Price wise, I can't really complain about this place. It was one of the cheapest places to get gas in the area which the one on Valley started to compete with. Only thing I don't like about this place is that they charge more for credit card use and they never did that before. Now they have the one on Valley competing with them not just prices but charging more for credit card usage. However, if you're in the area and in need of cheap gas, go here. You'll usually find a lot of people waiting at the pumps here. read more

I had a very strange experience today so that I am giving one star. I went today and did the normal pumping. I usually pump a number stopped at 5 or 0 gallons (such as 12.345, 11.980). So I stopped at 12.875 today as I would normally do. I took the pumper out and noticing the numbers were still adding even though I held the pumper on my had doing nothing. I had kids in the car so I clicked Help. By the time the staff came out, it stopped and happened to be 12.990. Too bad I didn't think of video taping it. read more

Cheapest name brand gas in town.

Oddly enough, I've never actually pumped gas here. I've only ever gone here to get an 89 cent Polar Pop. With it being so hot this summer, there's no better place to get an ice cold drink than at 76/Circle K. The gas prices are cheaper than most around the area and the store is clean/organized inside. The staff are also very friendly. read more

So far trying to find the cheapest prices on 91 driving a lexus with a v8 drains a lot of gas so i try to find the best prices, i do not fill Arco gas in my car at all. This place is awesome last time i went the price for 91 was 3.99! i couldn't believe it! read more

Prices here are as low as whole sale prices. Very clean station. Employees are nice. Top tier gas for whole sale price. I am a fan. I come here often. A dislike is that theres one lane of pumps that is difficult to get to. Leaving is also a pain sometimes. read more
