Stopped in for lunch with a friend as we are on our own "mission" to seek out a good bbq place for an upcoming event which will be catered. Mission BBQ offers catering. It had been a while since my last visit here and I needed to refresh my memory. The most impressive thing I noticed about Mission BBQ is the staff. Same as my last visit. So warm and friendly. Hanna was the young girl that assisted me and she added that special touch that you just don't see at fast food places. My friend and I ordered our lunch. I had the salmon which was delicious. Apparently this was recently added to their menu. It was a generous portion and nicely grilled. I would order it again. My friend ordered the combo 3 choice meat platter. She enjoyed it all but mentioned the brisket had a bit of fat. That can be fatty so really no surprise. Prices were in line for quality and portions. In addition to our lunch, I ended up placing a dinner order with Hanna and took the 5 person dinner home. ($12.99 pp...minimum of 5 meals). It was nicely packed and included a bottle of bbq sauce. The smoked honey bbq sauce was my pick and wow...that was a winner. For dinner...we were 4 adults and 2 young children. We had just the right amount of food and everyone enjoyed. I had to re-heat everything as it stayed in my refrigerator until dinner. I heated up the pulled chicken and pulled pork in my preheated oven. I microwaved the beans and Mac and cheese. The baked beans were the stand out. And the rest was delicious as well. Everyone enjoyed everything. It was actually fun and different. Mission BBQ is a very cute, impressive dining area, and very clean restaurant. You place your order at the counter and your name is called for pick up. Cups are given and you fill your own beverages, grab your forks, napkins and straws. Six bbq sauces and a roll of paper towels are on each table or booth. It is a high energy kinda place. We arrived at 12pm. Only one person in front of us but as we placed our order the line sure filled up. The lunch crowd arrived. Overall...it is a winner. read more

I've come here at least 5 times since Septmeber 2017. The staff here is great, super friendly and attentive!! The decor brings me back to memories of my Dad and his service in the US Navy...makes me very proud to be an American..and proud to even sit in Mission BBQ! (Is that weird?) Shout outs to some of my favorites...the brisket is a MUST, one of my new favorites is the jalapeno cheddar sausage, and of course the corn bread. The mac and cheese is DELISH!! I hail from Philadelphia, so the closest one near me is next to a Target & the Roosevelt Blvd. The first time I have entered that location was the time I realized how much Mission BBQ in Warminster has risen my standards. I have had unbelievably good BBQ in backwood dives all over this country and I know what great BBQ is. That being said, I think Mission BBQ has a fantastic business model to become the Chipotle of American BBQ. First off, BBQ is about the MEAT! They respect that by serving your meat "dry" or without sauce. I had tried samples of the pulled pork and chicken and ordered the beef brisket which had a out of this world crust on the top from the spice rub they apply before smoking it for 12 hours. Second, the BBQ sauces, 6 flavors, were all homemade and I enjoyed them all. They covered a wide range of tastes being careful to give you the acid and/or sweetness to compliment the meat rather than overpower or disguise it. I tried each one with some meat and selected Smokey Mountain. I'm not going to describe why because you can taste each one and have UNLIMITED amounts of the BBQ sauce because all the bottles are on every table! Third. And maybe the hardest to believe was that I walked in there just to see what they had to offer with no intention of eating there. I was in the mood for something heathy and light so...I ordered the large salad, which was very basic, but I got meat added to it for just $3, a real value. Now they only had ranch and I think Italian, but I tried adding some of the BBQ sauces to my dressing and to my surprise it was...Fantastic!!! That was all the food I ordered however an extremely friendly manager named Joe walked over to my table and gave me a FREE Warm Blueberry Cobbler that wasn't even on the menu. I usually don't like dessert but I always like free, so I tried it. It was so delicious I almost kissed Joe on my way home to show my appreciation. Lastly, I was thinking about becoming a vegetarian as a show of support to my youngest daughter Ava but with a new Mission BBQ so close to home...that is not happening anytime soon! I also support their message of honoring our local Armed Forces and am curious if active military gets a small discount. If you live in the area and love BBQ, RUN, don't walk to give them a try. My first time to this new chain. The organization, timeliness, cleanliness, staff performance all great. Food just average... my 5 bone baby back ribs a bit too fatty. I don't mind some fat but a bit much. Green beans with bacon... too salty, not from bacon but salty juice in the ramekin that was overpowering. Cole slaw excellent. Unsweetened Iced Tea very good. My meal scores B- My son's 2 Meat Combo = pulled pork was the star. Nice portion... Brisket was likely weighed but as you can see in the photo, a few small pieces. Prices okay so not too big of a deal but if your hungry go with 3 meats. Corn bread pretty good. He liked his meal but if I didn't share my ribs and give my cornbread he would have been hungry. His meal A- The sauces on the table was a nice touch and tends to be a new standard for BBQ chains. Nice sauces, we tried them all. I love the decor and with each location I visit, I'm still amazed they are able to find those Army trucks to park in the lot. Food: I'll be honest, I love the "mission" but not the food or the sauces. Actually, even though they have 6 sauces to choose from, I personally don't find any appealing. In terms of proteins, the lean brisket is good, as is the pulled chicken and pork. Their ribs, both spare and baby backs are just plain awful. Not sure why that is, but they can't seem to smoke/cook them. Also unless you are getting a full rack, the singles seem to always be end pieces or maybe its just my bad luck. I have tried ribs twice at this location and it was a big miss both times. Fries here are a solid choice. The non-fountain drink selection here is good as well. Service: Good and they tend to walk around to clean up any finished trays. Overall: Decent choice if in the mood for BBQ. read more

Alright, this is a bit messed up. But, I'm raving over the green beans. I know, I know. Green beans at a BBQ joint. Yeah, I could make a meal of those damned things with the onions and brisket that are in them. Oh, they're not vegan. Of course, I always do a taste test of every barbecue sauce when I go the first time. I love the Kansas with the cumin in it and I really love the NC Vinegar. The Bay-BBQ w/ a hint of old bay style seasoning was really new and unique. I loved in on the turkey. But, (moist) Brisket was to die for. When they described it, I expected it to be fatty. You literally can't find good bbq anywhere in the NJ/PA area. We decided to give this place a shot for take out during covid-19, and we are SO glad we did!! This place is absolutely delicious!! Ribs, pulled pork/chicken, and sausage are all to die for. Mac and cheese, bbq beans with brisket, cole slaw, and fries are delicious. Cant eat here any more. When they first opened, they were great and on their game. Not any more. Skimpy portions now, completely inconsistent flavors, ugly way to,serve food. Last i got was the smoked sausage. Never had such bad sausauge. Hardly any smoked flavor, 4 tiny halves of regular kielbasa served on an ice cold bun, thats it. No sauce, no fixings. What are they thinking? Fries...inconsistent . i have been here 5 times in the past 4 months. Each time has got worse. The ribs were the best of what i had. The pulled pork i had three times and each time inconsistent flavor, irregular portions. Not what iexpect from bbq place where all they do is bbq. I respect that they do the national anthem at noon and host events for veterans, but its also about the food. Thats what ultimately gets people coming back...or not. And they are pricy compared to,other bbq in the area. I love,the concept and hope they figure things out. I am a sucker for great bbq. Lastly, and most importantly, the staff is really great. There is lots of redundancy in staffing and it feels a bit intrusive at times but the people themselves are really great and you can tell they are trying real hard to make a positive impression. I went to Mission BBQ for the first time today to pick up takeout. Everything I ordered was delicious. I didn't know what type of bbq sauce to get so they gave me a sample of all of them. They also gave me an extra cole slaw, a free cookie, and a coupon for a free sandwich at my next visit. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for a new customer. We stopped by here today for lunch. We arrived around 11:45 and it was pretty dead. I was bummed that they were out of spare ribs. I settled for the baby backs. They were good but I do prefer the spare ribs more. The Apple cobbler was on point but a touch too sweet. The moist brisket is my go too. The roll today was very fresh but the brisket was a bit on the salty side. Overall it was a good lunch. The place is pretty consistent so that's why i gave 4 stars. Mission BBQ is a unique resteraunt. Lots of good choices to order, one being the brisket sandwich. There is plenty of brisket to satisfy the hungriest of appetites. On each table comes a choice of 6 sauces. The only downfall is I can never remember which one I liked best and have to try all of them each time I visit. Having had good BBQ all over the country, I unfortunately found this chain restaurant severely lacking in flavor and consistency. I ordered a platter with brisket, pulled pork, and a side of coleslaw. The pulled pork was moist, but lacked flavor. It could have been done in a crock pot. The addition of the Carolina vinegar did not help. The brisket had a nice bark, a little bit of a smoke ring but was decidedly dry. The Texas, Memphis or KC sauces did not help. The coleslaw was under seasoned and sweet at the same time. Tasted like someone dumped a supermarket bag in a bowl with a bunch of sugar. Finally, the lemonade tasted like powdered country time. I am very, very happy to see a Mission BBQ open 20 min from my home! I first ate @ the one in Charlottesville, VA about 2 months ago and enjoyed it. I do get a hankering for solid BBQ every now and again and the "real" BBQ stands are only open Fri-Sun around here. The most interesting angle here is that they don't sauce any meats (except maybe the pulled pork sand). They offer all the usual fare (brisket, chicken, turkey, pork, ribs) and 8-9 unique sauces. Love all of them! Try your own combos to see what tastes best! Prices are fair, maybe even a little cheaper than roadside BBQ in PA. The green bean side I ordered was canned & both the pulled pork & pulled chicken were a bit dry. The pulled pork sand which that was like $7-8 was just a heap of under seasoned pork on a bun. I was surprised when I arrived at Mission BBQ at 5:30pm and only party was eating there and no one was in line. I ordered the Black plate special ( smoked rib-eye steak) The Mac-Cheese was good . My boyfriend and I came for dinner because I've been wanting to try out their menu since they've first opened up. We chose a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries. Buns of the sandwiches were a bit greasy and should have been toasted, but otherwise the sandwiches came with plenty of meat that was delicious. 10/10 recommend. oh and we got free fries! read more

First time here. The line was long but it moved quickly. Our order was to go - brisket, pulled pork and sides -was packed up nicely and survived the short trip to my daughter's house unscathed. When we could not decide what sauce we wanted, the counter guy gave us some of each, so nobody had to choose. The food was tasty and not overcooked.
