Grocery shopping in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii...
Searching for papayas for my mom, I found Miss Tea on Hotel Street.
Located almost diagonally from the Chinatown Police Station, the cross street for Miss Tea is Maunakea Street.
The bright red sign that advertised 99 cents a pound caught my eye. I stopped and started to pick some papayas up when the worker brought a package and held it for me as I filled it up!
How observant and efficient!
She was also cheerful, friendly, and welcoming! She also called the manager, who was happy that I was taking photos of their produce. The manager pointed to the sign and explained that they get their shipment fresh from the Big Island.
Next month, they will be expanding their services to fresh fruit teas! I can't wait!
Note: The interior of the shop will be ready for customers soon. Right now, they're basically showing their merchandise on the sidewalk.
Welcome to Honolulu Chinatown, Miss Tea!
Wishing you much success and happiness! read more
