Learn how beautiful you can be on a dance pole. It's a very feminine, non-competitive and supportive environment. No previous dance or fitness experience is assumed in our beginner classes. Quite simply, exercising by dancing is a lot of fun, spinning around a dance pole is even more fun.
Our qualified teachers will guide you through exercises that will not only make you fit and more flexible, but you will feel great!
Miss Fit Dance Studio has changed the lives of thousands of women through Aerial Yoga and Pole dancing. Our classes are very different to other forms of dance or gym workouts. Pole dancing will not only increase your strength and tone, but will also have a really positive impact on your self-confidence and body image.
The Miss Fit mantra is Empowerment through Exercise.
History
Established in 2007.
We set up our first humble Pole Dancing classes in a small upstairs office in Sydney's North West. An initial enrolment of 8 students, mostly our friends, saw us start our incredible journey. It soon took off and within months we had outgrew that space and we were out looking for a location that fitted our mantra of Fit, Fun & Sexy. Several years later, we now have 6 studios across 4 locations providing Aerial Yoga and Pole Fitness and Dancing to students each term. We employ a minimum of 20 instructors ranging in age from 20 something to 40 something to appeal to the wide range of students who come to learn with us. Their skills range from qualified fitness instructors, internationally certified in Pole Dance and Aerial Yoga, professional dance performers & gymnasts.
We have become one of Sydneys most successful pole and Aerial Yoga studios through providing fun classes in glamorous surroundings, with a non competitive and supportive environment.
Meet the Business Owner: Sarah T.
Dr Sarah's story is definitely unique. She's worked as a Veterinarian for 20 years and has now become a professional Pole Dancer!! Her veterinary career includes working as a country vet (yep, picture the shoulder length gloves & her arm buried in a cows backside!), and a city vet in a busy Sydney practise.
Her career change was the result of seeing video of one of her vet nurses graduation performance following her first term of pole dancing. She started classes and was hooked at the age of 40, which is unusual, as it's mostly a sport for the 20 somethings. Progressing rapidly up through the levels, one day she and her partner John had an epiphany. Why not start up our own studio?
Sarah is now a qualified fitness instructor, an internationally certified pole dance teacher, a public performer and together with John they run the studios 7 days a week.
Sarah is living proof that women of any age or background can achieve whatever they set their minds to.
