We dined here while on a trip to Gulf Shores. It was fairly empty, so our party of 5 was seated immediately. The sushi was fresh and delicious! Two of our kids ordered fried rice, which they enjoyed. It was plain (no meat, very little vegetables), but they preferred it this way. The serving size was perfect for my 5 year old, but my 12 year old ordered a second bowl. Our daughter ordered the California roll and enjoyed it. My husband ordered the Spicy Girl roll and the Florida roll. I ordered the Dragon Roll and the Spider Roll. The Dragon Roll was absolutely divine!! The Spider Roll was tasty too, but my daughter tried a piece and didn't like the lettuce being included. I didn't mind it. I ordered a "regular" mojito, which did come with lime and fresh mint, but I wouldn't order it again. It was on the sour side, and not very minty like most mojitos I've had usually are. Where do I start? $7 for iceberg lettuce and "house" dressing... house dressing I swear was just wasabi, soy sauce, and vinegar. Then the sushi rolls were dry.. the cooked rolls tasted like McDonald's chicken nuggets. And it was defiantly not worth $75 for 2 salads, a soup, and one basic roll, and two "specialty rolls" that were about half the size of a roll in other places. The wife suggested a new place so I decided to take her and the family out and please her. My wife got sushi which she said was pretty good but didn't standout. 2 of my boys got the bubble bags which were really good. The cajun and medium spice level sauce with crawfish and shrimp was excellent. My other boy went with ol reliable and got fried shrimp which did not disappoint. To top it off I got fried oysters which were really good the cajun sauce. I would give it a 5 star but I don't believe in perfect. read more

My family and I travel a lot and eat this type of Cuisine all over the world and I was very pleasantly surprised to find such quality, flavor, and presentation in Gulf Shores Alabama. If you're anywhere even close to this place when you're hungry I advise you go out of your way to get a table here. My husband and I love Miso. Bubble bag seafood is one of our favorite foods to eat out. We we have ordered it in many restaurants in South Alabama, Florida and Texas. However, Miso's is by far the best we have ever tried. The cost is very reasonable, the staff is friendly, polite, and attentive, the food is excellent quality and seasoned to perfection, and the restaurant is clean, has a good ambiance, and is conveniently located. I've been anxiously waiting to try this new place that replaced another Japanese restaurant Aji San. We had visited the old place several times and the food was pretty good but the interior was a little shabby. The new folks have done a great job with the interior, it's stunning with the giant screen on the rear wall, all the lights everywhere, and the cold schemes make for a festive and inviting casual atmosphere, indeed much improved. We shared some sushi, they call is a Tiffany Roll which is crab and avacado deep fried with spicy sauce on top. It was very fresh and came with plenty of ginger, it was good. Both our entrees came with miso soup and salad. The soup was excellent, some of the best I've had and the salad was fine but the ponzu dressing was also excellent, much lighter than the average lumpy orange stuff at lot of Japanese places, light and well seasoned. My honey went with the teriyaki shrimp which came in a very nice well seasoned sauce with lots of broccoli and steamed sticky rice, the shrimp was a little overcooked but it was also also good. I went with the hibachi chicken, also with sticky rice, but the chicken was overcooked and dry and there wasn't a lot of flavor going on, I mean it wasn't terrible but not great for a hibachi dish. While the seafood bag options look great, I'm coming here for the Japanese and the prices for the bags are significantly higher than Blalock's, for instance, who will produce the same outcome, steamed to bring home. Bottom line: Overall the people are very friendly, the device is good, atmosphere outstanding but the food is middle of the road for my taste. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Went there for my daughter's birthday and the moment we walked in, an awful smell smacked you in the face. It smelled like something had been sitting out for hours and it was food poisoning waiting to happen. We walked right out and went somewhere else. Would not recommend. read more

I had the Saturday seafood boils special. Dungeness crab, snow crab, shrimp, potato, corn and broccoli. The buttery garlic sauce was fantastic. I appreciate the fact that they devein their shrimp and score the top to make it easy to peel. I could not finish this meal and ended up sharing several shrimp and some potatoes. read more

We had a party of 9, we got to sit at the coolest table it shaped like a ship and our server was super cool she rated our silly drawling contests we had on the table and kept our drinks full, The place was empty it's like a hidden gem almost ! What a rip off! Advertised AYCE sushi. It's all you can order and then it takes 30-45 minutes for your order to come. By then, it is room temp. At $40 pp, the drinks are not included and neither are the crab legs as pictured on website. Anything that is left over, you get charged for ON TOP of what you just paid! So our bill went from $345 to $410 from the table to the register! Then there's was the side show of the host digging in the on.y servers hair for 10+ minutes in the dining room while we waited for our food! My family and I (a total of 7 people) went here when no one else was dining during lunch time on a Sunday. We aren't a needy group, nor are we looking for the most bougie setting, just looking for a nice meal for everyone. So by the end of this lunch we were quite surprised by the service. My sister in law and I had ordered their sushi for pickup a few times prior to this, we've enjoyed the price and quality of the sushi so we thought dining in wouldn't disappoint. However, that was not the case. We all ordered about two rolls each, and hibachi dishes for only two people out of the group as well. It took a total of 45 minutes for us to see any food. The hibachi dishes came out way before the rice, soup, and salad that typically comes with that order. We had to remind them of the added sides that come with it. The sushi was good, no problems there, but the service was absolutely terrible. Having to remind the one younger lady many times of things that we either ordered or a refill on some waters. She seemed to be more concerned with sitting at the front with the other male hostess than checking in on us. At the end we were charged a tip of $8.00 each tab. Which is fine in the broad spectrum of things, but it would have been nice to have known that at the beginning of the service. 3 stars because we got our food read more

Total bill was $76, they offered me 10% off. Told them no, then they offered 50% off. Ended up paying $46 for eating nothing. Went Nextdoor to the Chicken Salad Chick food place and had an amazing meal! Disputing charge on my credit card for Miso Seafood, should have been ZERO DOLLAR CHARGE. The chicken was over cooked and had zero seasoning, then teriyaki sauce poured on top, yuk. Vegetables were broccoli and asparagus, again weird combo for hibachi Sushi was not fresh. Large pieces and no flavor. Salad dressing was soy sauce with something added. Again no ginger dressing for an Asian option. Had to resort to ranch that was served in a plastic Togo container. Negative stars are what they deserve. Went with my mother and the rice on her sushi wasn't even cooked. It was so crunchy. The tuna was super fishy and not palatable. I ordered my kids chicken strips and they brought out fried fish. The waitress then wanted to argue with me about which employees were at fault for that instead of accepting responsibility or just fixing it in general. My noodle dish had brown and rotting veggies. The food was absolutely disgusting we ended up going next-door and getting a meal at the chicken salad place. The original bill was $70 and they only wanted to offer us 10% off. We did up paying over $40 for some thing I took literally two bites of. The staff was incredibly rude.
