Delicious and reasonably priced Puerto Rican cuisine. We had been wanting to try the famous lechon…read more(roasted whole skewered pig) of Guavate but didn't get the chance to travel there. This little food truck was a great substitute located just a couple of miles East of Old San Juan. Three of us split a pound of lechon, a small chorizo rice, and 3 empanadas (chicken, shrimp, and beef.) Our total came out to be just under $25. This was more food than we could eat. The lechon was delicious -salty, flavorful, meaty, and just the right amound of tenderness. Their tangy hot sauce was a grrat accompaniment. The empanadas were hot and flakey and just plain amazing. The rice was good, but pretty average. They had many other delicious sounding items on their rotating menu that we didn't get to try. Keep in mind they don't serve lechon everyday if this is what you are after. We came on a Saturday and they did have it. They have a facebook page en espanol that seems to be updated pretty regularly. The truck is located between the Shell gas station and the Iglesia Evangélica Luterana San Pablo. Look for a black trailer with a couple of shaded tables right off the Shell. Many people biked here as it's right along the paved pedestrian/bike trail that follows the water. Come check it out! You won't be disappointed.

So amazing that we ate here 3days in a row. I couldn't get enough of their pork tacos. El lobo is located right next to shell gas station which is great because you can buy beer/alcohol and bring it 15 feet away to el lobo and have yourselves dinner with drinks if you are on a budget. Add that with some lights hung up above and some good music and your set! The owners of el lobo are very polite and explains in detail the ingredients of each food listed on their menu for the day. We are so glad we found this place! I recommended to the owner to add themselves on Yelp so that others can experience this hidden gem!

We decided to give it one more chance for our last dinner -- and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing. We genuinely enjoyed every single plate we ordered. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared -- no complaints at all. The staff was great and very attentive throughout the night. And they even had a good spicy sauce! I have Mexican friends who love their food extra spicy, and this sauce definitely delivered. The vibe was tropical and beautiful. It's located right by the shore, so you get a nice view while you eat. It was the perfect way to end our trip. Honestly, we loved it. You must try their chicken Chicharron And Signature Stuffed Mamposteao!

We didn't…read morerealize that most places that were recommended close early on Wednesday's, so we ended up here which is close to the cruise ship. There was no wait for a table, but it took a good 10 minutes for the waiter to even come to our table. Drinks took about 5-7 min, which isn't bad. We ordered dinner and the wait began. 20 minutes after we ordered, my wife's dinner came out, but mine didn't. She finished her food in about 10 min, my dinner still hadn't arrived. We waited another 30 min (1 hour after ordering) and my meal still hadn't come out. Our waiter never checked on us, never offered us more drinks, never apologized for the wait. After the hour, I walked up to our waiter and told him we were leaving. They did remove the food that never arrived but they didn't seem the least bit apologetic. For a first impression of Puerto Rican service and quality, I would never recommend this place.
