Additionally the coaches run a tight ship while keeping kids on task. During this tough time - covid shutdown- they have offered Zoom practices. My kid has had other Zoom practices and classes and they're always sort of a mess. Rob and his coaches run theirs just like a regular practice - tight! It's clear that a lot of thought and planning go into each one. And, more important she's learning. She loves the practices. She says they almost make her feel like life is normal for a minute. They've been like an anchor during this tough storm! Thanks for doing the right thing for these kids.

I'm not a fan of B-Ball yet my friend, Coach Dock of Shooting Stars, thought I should handle the clock for the start of his basketball league. Hahahahahahaha! Surely he's joking. He wasn't. Mitchel Gym is tucked away in Garden City and it'll be better if you have your own transportation to get to it. There is ample parking so don't worry. The gym is very spacious. A huge court downstairs with a balcony that has standing room only. The bathrooms are also a good size and they were clean on my visit. If you're using the gym for games/leagues, you'd have to supply your benches, tables etc. The gym is also used for the training of various sports. I had a wonderful time learning and clocking (I don't know if that's even a term) a game at Mitchel Gym. The space is brightly lit, clean and more importantly adequately outfitted to be a high-quality basketball training facility. I hate this place for playing roller hockey. Nothing works here including the refs. The most…read moreunprofessional run facility I have ever been to. There was one time during a hockey game that a ref was sitting down eating during a game instead of out on the rink. I yelled over and asked him to ref the game he was paid to do and he proceeded to curse back at me with a lot of foul language. He still works there. Management is constantly contacted and nothing changes. This week a ref offered to get me a chair while I walked past him. He was only able to do that because he was standing in the penalty box on his cell phone while the puck was in play. I replied I want you to ref I don't want a chair. They are paid $25 for 40 mins of socializing, eating, and just skating away from a game in play. During the same game the other ref was hanging on the goal post the entire game talking with the goalie and not paying attention to the whole game. I have never seen a place that is a free for all for the employees and they have no manager around making sure they are doing what they are supposed to do. As long as they collect the money from all the teams the facility is still left in the dirty run down condition that it has been in for years. Hundreds of dollars taken from each team and they cannot afford to fix the score board so you can read the numbers? Several bulbs are out and just left without repair.

While at a tournament, i heard hussman get asked by a mom 'the team keeps losing. what's going on w the team?' He pointed his finger at the players and listed their faults. It was shameful. Fyi, there's really no speak on college stuff. The college that they hv any connection to is the director's former college. You should call and ask and decide for yourself/kid. In the end, what's important is that they stretch the players. I'm not concerned about falling into line and hv the facade that everything's okay. Sportime volleyball needs to do better.

It's now game point, the Freedom Tower also has eyes it's on you as you call for an iso. The crowd anticipation is tangible. In and out cross, the defender buckles. Hard pound dribble to a step back as you let that thing fly...... BAAAAAANNNNGGGGG! But yeah, this court is great as the nets are fully intact and court is freshly paved. The upkeep is unmatched.
