SAFELITE ST. AUGUSTINE: DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELD INSTALLATION…read more Safelite came to my home to replace a windshield with one small crack. Technician Hunter arrived on time and was respectful, but after the installation, the new windshield had four cracks running from top to bottom on the driver's side. The cracks extend through the glass, can be felt from inside, and obstruct my vision. I immediately contacted Safelite and spoke with manager Alecia. I was told i have to wait three days or more for another windshield and provide another eight-hour installation window!! Safelite also refused to provide a rental vehicle or transportation, despite leaving me with an unsafe vehicle. This is not a cosmetic issue--the cracks affect a critical safety component and make the vehicle unsafe to drive. Safelite replaced one small crack with four full-length cracks. I expect Safelite to promptly replace the defective windshield and address the transportation problem caused. Safelite's response was unprofessional and unacceptable. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I've felt that proof of a properly run business is if the manager needs to tell the team what to do. I submitted on their website the request for a quote, but I decided to stop in person. I will say that my Tesla GPS did not find it correctly. It is in a storage unit type location with other businesses and storage units. It is in the second set of buildings. I like how his pricing is clear and upfront so that there is no pricing fluctuations per person. He has a chart showing all the different darknesses of tent and the different variations of glare, UV and other qualities of the tint, so that you can truly compare what you're getting. It only took me a minute to decide to choose 30% ceramic tint, instead of 35 because I need increased glare protection. I was quoted 325 that is also for 99% heat source rejection. He was booked for this Friday so I am booked for next Friday. His hours are 9 to 5. Nothing available Sunday and Saturday, which I don't think are good for customers who work. If I didn't have a husband with a flexible schedule, I would never be able to get my car done here. Thankfully, he has a night drop off box.
