We are from out of town (Wisconsin) so buying a home in Springfield MO area was going to take a little bit more research on our part due to our limited schedule and knowledge of the area. Thankfully we found Mirowski Inspections because I have found that when buying a home, it is important to really know the home and only a qualified inspector can truly help with this. Our real estate agent (unfortunately did not know well because we are from out of state) stated that the home had a pre-inspection and we could save money if we just didn't order another inspection. NOT a convenience in my eyes. I have learned from experience that not getting your own inspection is very risky. With such a large purchase, why would I gamble with that kind of money and more importantly, why would I pass on that valuable information if I was serious about buying the home? Working in healthcare, it is easier to recognize that prevention sometimes can feel hard but it is soooo much easier than enduring the actual illness. In this case, prevention, (spending a little amount of money and time for a great amount of knowledge) as compared to the illness, (blindly buying a money pit that will forever leave you with a headache and bitterness). ALWAYS GET AN INSPECTION! When comparing the inspection companies in the area, Mirowski was the one that kept showing up as THOROUGH and professional. What was great about the experience with Mirowski...Inspector (John) was experienced, he was professional while also friendly, he explained the things of concern, he explained things not of concern, and provided a report in a timely manner. The report came through in a convenient email that we had the option of printing out later if we chose to do so. The entire inspection experience was above and beyond with Mirowski because from the moment I went online to schedule and pay, to the follow up emails and phone calls to confirm, to the actual inspection, to receiving the inspection report, it was easy and obvious that they take pride in a job well done and care about what they are doing. This truly is not common anymore. When someone can stand back and say, "what do I think of the job I did?" and then ask you, the paying customer the same with confidence, it shows! For once in a long time, it wasn't about the commission or getting paid, but instead, I felt someone just really did a great job! We were so pleased & COMPLETELY "IMPRESSED" with the QUAILITY & professionalism of our inspector, Steve & Mirowski Inspections, LLC. We can not even begin to tell you of the thoroughness & complete trust we had when we hired this company to do our home inspection. WE TOO, had an real bad taste left in our mouth from a previous Inspection Company we used. So needless to say this company had to prove to us that they were the Inspection Company we wanted to go with..... AND PROVE TO US....Yes, they did indeed!!! They not only use the MOST UP TO DATE TECHNOLOGY (they use thermography), but the inspector(s) TOOK THE TIME to first walk us through right along with him to explain things as he did his FIRST walk around the ENTIRE property, inside & out. WOW!!! Because of our health issues & concerns, (we are retired & a tad bit older couple ; ) we had a few special inspections that we requested that they perform tests & reports on .... AND PERFORM & COMPLETE they did. That too put our mind at ease. NOW, we will tell as many people as we can our experience with this most amazing COMPANY!! They did not even care if you asked questions. In fact they tell you to ask as many questions as you want while walking around for the inspection. You can even write down as he is explaining findings & recommendations. The OTHER ; ( , company we had used before MIROWSKI, did not even wait for us to get there (we were told to meet ALL meet a certain time, & they did not wait, they started the inspection 45 minutes before our agreed time) & we were NOT late. So when I got out a pen & pad to start writing info after they completed the inspection & he said, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO WRITE THIS STUFF DOWN...you are just wasting your lead & time"??? LIKE WE SAID..........." Mirowski Inspections, LLC & our inspector did not treat us they way at all. They not only do they have our total trust, but our RESPECT. My husband and I are in the works of buying our first home. Our Realtor highly recommend we look into using Mirowski. We are so glad we took her advice! Very thorough inspection - he was at the house over 4 hours. Home inspectors in Springfield are very busy (hot market) but saw other good reviews and waited. I am glad I did. I was impressed he wasn't trying to squeeze another in that day - he had blocked out as much time as needed. Lots of things I would have never thought to look at or didn't know could be looked at. Answered all my questions. He was also very clear on what things he could not check for or verify. By the way pay $50 and get the extra termite inspection. He found some possible termite problems so I will have the seller pay for treatment with warranty. read more
