Talked to a guy named Ben about wiring a generator outlet for my home one day. I asked him for a written estimate and was told it would cost $120 because I lived in Fordland about 15-20 mins from Springfield, MO. He told me that he could come out the next day at 9am and if I give him the job they will cut the estimate in half. We discussed what I was looking for, which was a whole house generator hookup, not a six circuit transfer box and hookup. He said ok, I'll be there tomorrow at 9am. So, I told my wife that there wouldn't be power for about 4hrs. So, she planned to be gone running errands during that time. 9am came no show. At 10am I called his number and I immediately got a text from him saying I'll call you right back. Now, it's 3pm and no call, no tex, no nothing. I stated to him I needed to get this done today January 22, 2026. I could have hire someone else to do the job if I had known he was going to not show up and not call. It was very unprofessional and just disrespectful. Even if he couldn't because he had an emergency job or something, a text saying I couldn't make it would have made all of the difference. It would have given me the option to get someone out her to do it. I just believe if you give someone your word, you keep it. If you can't you own up to it. All a people have today are their reputations. The impression you give is the impression you are judged by. It's unfortunate. read more

I have had 3 different repairs at my home. Ben is dependable, shows up on the day he is scheduled for. Personable and honest with fair prices, a fast service. I will continue to use him for my home and my rental units. Thanks a bunch Ben again for helping us out. He had to add a main breaker to my panel we did not have one. Hands down, these guys were the most affordable, prompt and professional team I've worked with in the last decade. I am not being superfluous in this statement either. I had bids for DOUBLE the cost that these guys did. And the bid for the other guys was at least two weeks out. I told Benjamin that it needed to be done quick and Ben had a guy at my lab the next morning. I will use these guys for future projects. I am so tired of contractors blowing me off, over charging, not showing up, complaining about their work etc. Ben and the Vuta team give me hope for the future of small businesses. I had a horrible experience from another father son team where they complained about having to shop all day for the supplies and I felt like I was in trouble the entire time when I requested outlets to be put in. Extremely unreliable. On two seperate occasions I have made an appointment with this vendor for home service. In both cases he never showed up, never called, or tried to reschedule. On the most recent incident, I called, couldn't leave a message because his mailbox was full, texted, and sent an email asking if he was going to come. I never received a response. read more

We needed a ceiling fan installed in our family room. Did not go with a personal recommendation, but read reviews on Vuta and set up an appointment. An electrician came out in a timely manner andfor a reasonable price did the work. I was totally impressed how careful and meticulous he was with the installation. He did an outstanding job and showed us how to remove the globe to change a bulb. He also took the time to cleanup after the work. I would highly recommend Vuta to do any electrical jobs you need done. read more

My job finally got done, but it cost me significantly more due to his faulty workmanship which necessitated having to buy a new attic fan, plus being overcharged for installing the new one. His website notes the cost to install an attic fan is $185. I was charged $350. I guess my advice is don't rely on the prices he posts on his website because he likely may not honor them. I contacted Vuta because he came recommended specifically for attic fans. An appointment was scheduled and he arrived roughly within the window time frame. After inspecting it, he said it had just come loose somehow and only needed to be re-secured. He did that, but that's when things went horribly wrong because when he tested it the blades were now so low that they destroyed the louvers below it. The louvers were being struck by the spinning blades and they began flying out of the ceiling and onto the floor in the hallway. After that very scary thing, he said now my only option was to buy a new attic fan as this one could not be salvaged. I bought one on-line at a cost of just under $500 which he noted would be a suitable replacement for the area. The next day I picked it up and then contacted him to schedule an install date as he requested. Two messages were left, but he did not call back. I therefore scheduled an installation appointment through his website for a Friday between 12:30 and 2:30 PM. At 3:30 PM I called him to inquire if he was running behind or what. He said I was the next job he would be going to. At 5:20 PM, I called him again (I had to call repeatedly before he answered). When he finally answered he claimed he was handling an emergency job. However, he was clearly at home because his children were in the background calling him Daddy throughout our conversation. Obviously, he strung me along all day and did a complete no-show. He scheduled the installation for Sunday morning at 8:00 AM (Mother's Day) - his children were hollering no Daddy you can't, it's Mother's Day. He assured me that he would show up and he did right around 8 AM on Mother's Day. After installing the new ceiling fan, he remarkably charged me $350. I was expecting to pay $185 for the installation as that is what his website notes. I just wanted to be done with him because it was Mother's Day and I had company coming in just a little bit, so I just paid him. In hindsight, I should have refused to pay him anything. In my opinion, given his faulty workmanship is the reason I had to buy a new one at almost $500, he should not have even charged me for the installation. The $95 job (his quote for re-securing) my attic fan turned into costing me $850. Will I recommend him? Will I ever use his services again? No and Never. Laughingly, given the fiasco I went through, he had the audacity to ask if I would write a great review on Google. Well, here's your review Vuta Electric - the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Vuta, if you would like to reimburse me the $350 installation fee, then I will update my review to reflect that information. read more

One of our ceiling light fixtures went out after we heard a pop and a sizzle.When I took it apart , it looked like wires were burnt and obviously not a job for a do-it-yourselfer.
