This was a lot of fun. The chefs were all so kind and very helpful. None of had any idea would be cooking together though but it was still fun meeting new people and learning together. The food was really good but we all decided we would probably use less ginger in the meal. I can't wait to make this at home.

Attended class for my boyfriend's birthday and we were not disappointed. There's two dedicated chefs to ensure every dish you prepare turns out exactly as planned. Plus, the food tastes amazing (and even better since you cooked it yourself). For a special event like a birthday or anniversary, let them know and you can purchase a few cupcakes to eat after dinner. I've also attended a corporate event here which was a total blast. It was a 'Chopped' style showdown complete with professional chefs judging our dishes. Can't wait to join Chef Daniella and the crew again soon.

Mother's Day brunch, making corn quiche

I've gone to Mirepoix for 2 office holiday parties, which are private parties, and I took my mom for Mother's Day brunch. I absolutely love this place! I love to cook so this is an awesome event to do with friends, co-workers or perfect strangers. All the ingredients are at your finger tips while Chef Robert provides written and visual instructions. No matter how big the class he's always right around the corner to help out. Chef Robert started the 1st class I attended by showing us how to butcher an entire chicken and even let me have a go at it. He then broke us up into groups of 2 and we all worked on a different part of the meal. There were other chefs on hand to help us out along the way as well. This is an amazing place to take a cooking class or have an event. My mom loved mother's day brunch as it was such a unique experience! You can sit down at a restaurant and have someone cook for you anytime, but you take special pride in cooking it yourself! It doesn't hurt to have all the commodities of a commercial kitchen at your fingertips and chefs to guide you along the way. We had drinks flowing and great conversation as we sat down with the other guests to eat! There's usually always delicious left overs to take home and enjoy. You can also take your written instructions home to recreate every part of the meal.

As a holiday gift to my mom and sister, I booked a private cooking class for the three of us with…read moreDeb. Deb was charming and professional, and she made the class both informative and fun. Upon arrival to her beautiful home, she had light refreshments waiting for us. Since this was a private class, we had collaborated in advance on a menu, and everything was well organized and ready to go when we started. We chose to do the Country French menu from a number of wonderful options. The menu included a starter of olive tapenade and grilled bread, French onion soup, cassoulet, and poached pears with creme anglaise for dessert. We began the lesson with a brief knife skills lesson, and she took us through the steps of each recipe very clearly, making sure that each person got to experience the various techniques and preparations. At the end, we had a nice lunch to enjoy our efforts! I would definitely make each of the recipes again. Deb has a very well-equipped kitchen, and was happy to answer any and all questions about technique, gadgets, or the recipes. Deb is also very knowledgeable about the local restaurant scene and wine, it was really fun to chat with her about those things as well. If you have a group of 3-4, a private class is great! I understand that Deb will also be offering classes that you can sign up for individually, and this would also be a fun way to meet people and learn something new!

My wife and I spent the day with Deb learning how to cook Beef Bourguignon and had a wonderful…read moreexperience. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning how to prepare and cook good food.
