I am so happy that I went to Charlotte for my microblading! She started the appointment by educating me on exactly how the process works and her technique. She also told me about possible negative repercussions, and how her technique alleviates those possibilities, but she straight up said that microblading might no be for me and there was no pressure. I have experience with tattoos (which are totally different in what they do to your skin) so I was comfortable with going forward. Charlotte did such an amazing job and I am thrilled with how my eyebrows look! I am not a particularly vain person, but when I walk past a mirror I do a double-take because it makes such a difference. My eyebrows are blonde and patchy, plus I have a weird habit of pulling on them so they get even sparser. The microblading looks so natural and flattering. It's not too much and not too little. I will be going to my touch up session in four weeks. Charlotte doesn't do it all at once which allows your skin to heal and phases the inevitable fading. I couldn't be more pleased and I recommend Charlotte for anyone who takes their skin seriously. read more

You texted me and said you had a cold at 9:23PM the night before my 11AM appointment. This news came after waiting over a month for the service after booking with Groupon. Disappointing, but understandable. You said you'd contact me the following morning to reschedule. I wished you well and waited to hear from you. By afternoon the next day, I had to contact you as I still hadn't heard from back about rescheduling. You apologized and gave me a new date, I accepted and then you canceled literally four minutes later saying, "Since I am an independent contractor, I'm actually going to turn down the service. Please refer back to Groupon for your refund" and then blocked me. Huh?? Weird and unprofessional behavior. I was so kind and understanding with you. Was even willing to give you reasonable time to get over your allergy cold after already waiting so long. A complete waste of my time, but I'll be happy to pay full price elsewhere for better customer service and overall first time microblading experience. So, I previously posted that I was absolutely amazed with Charlotte's work and professionalism during my very first time getting my eyebrows microbladed. I still have to say, she did an amazing job. I can't take that away from her. However, I am a bit disappointed and saddened that my second session didn't go as well....because she text me and cancelled the night before my appointment. However, I was okay with the cancellation and she said we could reschedule for the following week (the week of August 23rd). I told her this week wasn't good for me. I'm an 18 year active duty Sailor and we were having a huge inspection at work that I could not miss. So, she asked me if Saturday would be okay. I again told her that would not work, because it was my daughter's birthday party that day. She read the message but did not respond. So, I sent her another text letting her know I didn't want to inconvenience her and I could do any weekday, just not the week of the 23rd. (I also have an 8 month old baby and no childcare on the weekend. So, I couldn't do a weekend even if she asked.). I was attempting to let her know I'm flexible after the 23rd but she continued to read my text messages, but not respond at all. It's funny because she and I got along really well during the session and she told me about previous clients she cancelled (for her own valid reasons) on and it didn't go well with one of them. It was a situation kind of like mine but the customer was being really rude with her. Understanding that, I attempted to reassure her I was not trying to inconvenience. Still, no response. At this point, I have still not received my second session or any more responses from Charlotte. So, I paid for two sessions and only got one, so it's a loss on my end. I guess you get what you pay for when you go through Groupon. Again, she did amazing work in the first session and I will not take away the talent she has. I should have read the other negative reviews here first, before purchasing a Groupon. I purchased a Groupon for a mole removal, and arrived 15 min. early since I live half an hour away and was unsure about traffic or parking. Walk in to the salon, and tell the receptionist I had an appointment with Charlotte. Charlotte happened to be standing at the front desk, chatting with the receptionist, and said "I'm Charlotte! Are you here for brows?" I told her no, my appointment was for mole removal. As several other people have stated, Charlotte then proceeds to just stare at me, this weird, uncomfortable long stare, and then tell me 'Oh, ok, well you're early so just have a seat'. She proceeds to stand at the front desk, gabbing with the receptionist for another 15 min., and then at my appointment time, disappears into the back of the salon. I sat there for yet another 15 min (half an hour total by now) and Charlotte did not reappear until I finally stood up and was going to tell the receptionist to just cancel my appointment, I did not understand what was going on. Charlotte then reappears, and brings me back to her tiny room. I show her the mole on the back of my leg that I wanted removed, and she immediately says she does not remove 'flat' moles. Okaaaay, well, thanks for completely wasting my time and money, since it does not state that anywhere on the groupon. I then ask her about another mole on my face, and she says she can burn it off, but not for the groupon price I had already paid. She wanted $75 to remove one tiny mole the size of a pin head. I asked if that included numbing cream, and she said NO!!! So she is burning moles off people using NO NUMBING CREAM!! HUH??? Who in their right mind would do that?? I told her no thanks, and as soon as I got to my car, traded in my Groupon. I just checked the CA State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology website, and it specifically states "ONLY A LICENSED PHYSICIAN CAN PERFORM SKIN TAG AN MOLE REMOVALS". I will be filing a formal complaint with the CA State License Board. Buyer beware! read more

Please I recommend you do not utilize Charlotte micro blading. It was my first experience with micro blading and she made me feel even worse about it. I paid for two sessions and did not even go back for my second one which tells you how bad it was. And she didn't even offer to give me any type of refund. She knew I was very unhappy with the first session too. She does not like inputs nor for you to take pictures to show what you would like done. Absolutely horrible experience. I've been a returning customer to Charlotte because of how comfortable she makes you feel. The vibe in her office is very Zen and it relaxes you and makes you want to fall asleep. I stared off by receiving facials, pumpkin peel masks and Microdermabrasion. She one day suggested to me about removing a mole off my face and I told her I didn't want to pay a insane amount. Well, with her, it's super inexpensive and she remove it so quickly that I went back for her to remove more. I became a regular with her fairly quickly and started seeing her at least once a week. I finally got the courage and asked her to micro-blade my eyebrows because I was nervous it would hurt. When the day finally came for me to get my brows done. My anxiety was gone and it was painless. I started my microblading with Charlotte, one of my brows ended up wiggly, but with the expectation it would be fixed at touch up. During my session, Charlotte talked a lot about heself, her past relationships and other stuff I could not care less about, but I was literally a captive audience. Very narcissistc. When I went in a few weeks later for the touch up, I was wearing a mask and she looked at me like I had two heads, then she had me sit in a chair and literally scrutinized my face for over a minute, it was very uncomfortable. I pointed to show where my brow was wiggly and she said "I see, move your finger" . So very rude. She then asked me, a dark skinned Hispanic woman on a 100 degree day if I had put oil all over my face. What esthetician with years of experience does not know Mexican women have oily skin?? I found that offensive and uncalled for. It was a put on. I then let her know I had had Botox 5 days before. She said she could not do the touch up for four weeks. I was disappointed and said the technician said it would be ok after 5 days, only for a touch up. I was only expressing disappointment, not trying to change her mind. She said sarcastically "Was she a miroblading technician or a Botox technician?" I said I did not know what her qualifications were, but she could call her and ask. After checking online everything I read said two weeks was fine. She refused to even compromise at 3 weeks. When I told her I was hosting an event and needed it finished she said "just pencil it in" like no big deal. I said thats not what I paid for. When I told her that meant I would have to go to someone else and pay again, this woman said "Oh well" just rude and mean, she already had my money, so there was nothing I could do. I did end up going elsewhere two days later and that wonderful lady repaired my brows to perfection with no problems at all. She also said two weeks out from Botox was pefect for just a touch up. So did the other 5 techs I contacted. Do not go to Charlotte if you are Mexican, unless you want to hear about your oily skin and what a douchebag her Mexican ex husband was. Hello! I don't want to be so hard on Charlotte and I'm sure she's a wonderful person, but I was NOT HAPPY AT ALL with the microblading job she did. Normally when you get Microblading , you have to love your eyebrows right from the start and obviously it's going to look darker and the eye brows must go through a process. well I went through the process thinking they would get better.. they never did. As a matter of fact, they got worse and worse. They are totally uneven, one eyebrow is thicker than the other one and the ink turned greenish grey. I know that with a retouch the brows will eventually get fuller, but I would not trust Charlotte again with my eyebrows. I got my eyebrows re-evaluated with someone else and now I have to pay twice as much and I need to get a combination of Microblading and microshading to correct the mistakes. I will go with a reputable cosmetologist who has done work on many of my friends. As a rule of thumb, never buy Microblading through Groupon unless you have seen that person's work on people you actually know. read more
