Catch a movie, get a bite, and feel like you never left India. Nestled right next to the AMC movie theatre, this place is super popular with the expat crowd who visit this place for a meal before the show. Keep your expectations in line and you will not be disappointed. Menu with a rich set of choices but no single item that can be termed signaturish. Our specific choices of Dosa and grilled Paneer were not bad at all. As I said, visit here should be conditional upon you being in area anyways. You certainly don't have to go out of your way for dinning here.

Good food and great service! We went there the day before thanksgiving. Ordered both vegetarian dishes and non-vegetarian dishes. The taste was good, the presentation and service were amazing. Highly recommend the Vegetarian Manchurian!

I was visiting friends when I came across this place late at night. This establishment has been…read morearound for more than 20 years with a second location in East Windsor. Upon entry, it looks a typical sit down restaurant; plenty of seating, side booths, and just enough lighting. The service was wonderful as I came in with a small group, approximately seven people including me. I would say that I would have liked it better if all of our orders were served at the simultaneously rather than have it served once the dish was ready. Here's what I ordered: -Mysore Masala Dosa -A much larger size than what I usually have. This savory crepe was folded in a triangular crepe-like shape rather than the traditional omelette kind. The filling was cooked well and once I dipped it in the sambar and chutneys, my taste buds were attacked by various flavors and spices. Individually, the dosa was decent and the sambar could have used a little more spice. I would have rather enjoyed more if they were also good by themselves and not in combination. -Spring Dosa -This was probably the least favorite thing I ordered. Presentation-wise, this looks they quickly sautéed some veggies and then rolled into the dosa. Alone, it was a little bland, so I had to constantly dip it into the sambar to get some taste. -Kadai Panner -Judging by the fact that it's called "Dosa Grill," I suspected that this dish would lean into more on the underwhelming side. Not sure how they made the gravy, but to me it felt more tomato forward than what was described on the menu. -Paneer Mysore Dosa -This was probably one of the best dosas I had. The paneer absorbed the masala so well that I could taste it from every bite I had. This was the only dish where I could say that the dosa itself tasted fantastic and I did not have to combine it with the sambar, which I a totally different experience itself. -Onion Chilli Utthapam -This is something I am very well familiar with growing up, so I wanted to see how they do. Knowing the base ingredients are similar to how one would make dosas, I figured it should hold up on the same bar. Much like the spring dosa, the experience with utthapam was better if it was eaten along side the sambar. By itself, all I tasted was onions and chilli and much else. I would have liked a little more spice in my opinion. Overall, I had a good time at Dosa Grill. If I had to pick one note, it would probably be not to hold back on the spices.

Could have been softer. All the flavor from the kothimbir was lost Vada Pav 3/5 - the vada was great, the pav was a disappointment. It was bun and not exactly pav. Too dry Puri bhaji 4/5 loved the bhaji (salt was less) the puri was okay. The Shrikhand was quite good Bhel Puri 3/5 was alright - nothing stood out positively or negatively about it. You could skip it. Pani Puri 2/5 - don't order it. You'll be disappointed if you did :/ Overall, I'd recommend going there if it has been a long time since you had Marathi food and are just craving it. It could be that this place is better for Malvani seafood and meat-based dishes but nothing extraordinary about the vegetarian food. Service was good and the place is tidy. Restrooms separate for male and female - maintained well. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza so plenty of free parking in the lot outside.

Inviting ambience attentive staff and nowto the food . Appetizers Thecha Paneer and kothimbir wadi were lip smacking delicious but the seafood thali was a let down . Surmai fry was the only saving grace . The fish curry lacked the kokum punch and the sukkat ( dried fish ) failed to impress . The Rice Bakri was made well . But the combination with the fish curry was blah. Gulab Jamun was soft with mellow sweetness. Maybe their Maharashtrian lighter fare may be worthy of an another try . Will post an update if we tried it again .

As the name suggests, the restaurant brings a fusion of global and Western favorites with Indian flavors, along with a huge selection of vegetarian, non-veg, and Chinese dishes. The Gobi 65 was so good--definitely a must-try for vegetarians! And if you love non-veg, don't miss the Tikka Masala Assorted Platter, loaded with chicken tikka, chicken malai, tandoori chicken, lasuni chicken, chicken seekh, and lamb achari. The portions are generous, making this a perfect spot for family and friends to share a meal. I'll definitely be coming back!

We chose…read morethis restaurant because they are on the inKind app which offers rewards that can be used at participating restaurants. There were 2 other tables when we entered and we were seated immediately and told to scan the QR code for the menu, which opened up to Toast Tab, which is not the ideal way to view a menu. Within a minute, we were greeted by Louis (who handles the hospitality at Tikka Masala) and he asked if we wanted any drinks or were ready to order, but we needed a few minutes to look things over. He said to wave him over when we were ready, so I did and we decided to start with the Gunpowder Chicken appetizer medium spicy. He asked about entrees, but we told him we were still deciding. After picking our entrees, I called him over again and he said, actually he would come back after our appetizer was dropped off. Shortly after, the appetizer came out and it looked great. A good portion size, nice presentation, and good spice level. We snapped a few photos, which caught the attention of Louis so he came over and encouraged us to enjoy the food and take lots of good photos for a review. I mentioned that we post on Yelp a lot, but he seemed concerned and said Google is much better as the community uses Google, so I let him know that we'd be happy to post to Google as well. He reminded us that his name is Louis and he handles the hospitality at Tikka Masala if we would like to mention him in our review. As we neared the end of our appetizer, he came over for our main order. We chose Chicken 65 Biryani (spicy), Chicken Tikka Masala (mild), Chili Garlic Naan, Spicy Garlic Chutney, and a Mango Lassi. He read the order back, but did not mention the spice level on the Tikka, and I assumed that was because the default was mild, but it came out without any spice. Everything else sounded good, but we ended up with regular Chicken Biryani instead of Chicken 65. We were hungry and it was late, so didn't feel any need to correct this as we like both dishes equally. After all the dishes were dropped off, Louis reminded us to take lots of nice pictures for the review. The Biryani portion was large and the spice level was on point. The Masala came in a large dish with lots of curry, but the amount of actual chicken was lackluster, so I did not feel the value in that dish at $21. Our usual Indian joint is $17 for chicken tikka masala and the amount of chicken is literally double and we always have leftovers. They did not have any Spicy Garlic Chutney, but Louis said Mango Chutney was available. We politely declined a couple times, but he urged us to try it, so said yes, and it was alright, but we wouldn't get it again. The Chili Garlic Naan is SPICY, so be warned! Literally stuffed with chili and will scorch you from the first bite! I was only able to handle one piece, as I usually stick with mild-medium spice. As we finished our meals, Louis brought the check and reminded us each to leave a separate review on Google. We paid on inKind and took a few pictures of the place before heading for the door, where we were reminded again about the review. The inside is quite nice and clean with lots of seating at tables and booths and low-lighting. Overall, the food was decent and we would consider trying some more dishes. Hopefully they can sort out the portion sizes as the appetizer and biryani were good, but the curry was small. Louis was an attentive and friendly server, but we could have went without all the review reminders. As I was writing this review, I heard a rustle in the bushes outside and I quickly went to the window where I thought I'd see Louis offering one final reminder, but it was just a pigeon.
