They took advantage of her age and less than perfect credit. After only adding a few thousands miles- the engine blew up! The guy who works in their service department tried to blame my daughter. Classic! Sorry buddy, but this Mommy and Daddy know a bit more about cars and engines than you think! After listening to the "slick" lip service this guy named Charles gave me, in how HE thought the engine just mysteriously "blew up" and how HE tried to blame my daughter... we reached our sad conclusions. Before hanging up I asked Charles, "So, as it stands, what's my daughter's car worth today?" It didn't take him long to answer. "Oh about $200 for scrap metal." My daughter still owes about $6000! She paid about $4000 MORE than what it was worth, when she bought it and drove it off their crummy car lot!

By this time it was my husbands turn to be passenger princess (his idea, not mine :/). So I hopped in the drivers seat ready to take on the big rigs and not long after I felt like I was having heat stroke. Beads of sweat started forming and no air was flowing. Mama was either having a perimenopausal hot flash or it was just that hot in the car. It couldve been a combination of both either way Mama was not happy. Dad was passed out in the back at which point I asked my daughter to yelp RV repair in Cedar City which was about 1.5 hours out. I was taking matters into my own hands, there was no way I was going without AC. My daughter found a couple RV places open but just our luck there was a Utah holiday and most RV Repairs were closed. And actually technically Solitude was also closed which is why they get my 5 (11) star review. Aaron the owner called me back after I sent some messages via Yelp. He let me know that most technicians were off but he asked me the problem. He began to basically speak mechanicese car language to me to which I couldn't understand. I had to politely ask him to hang on while my husband got on the phone(his nap didnt last long since it was hotter than you know where)Aaron started chatting with my husband about the possible issue and gave him so much helpful info. Once my husband got off the phone we looked up the nearest autozone and started heading there. Thats when Aaron called me back! He said he looked up our model of RV and told us exactly how to fix, if his diagnosis was correct. I mean who does that?? Is it just a Utah thing? Just nice people being helpful for the sake of helping another human out. Aaron if you read this you're the man! So after grabbing Swig (what IS it with Utah and drinks?) we headed to autozone and my handyman of a huz was able to fix it with the help of Aaron the owner. So honestly my review is not based on the repair they performed but on character of the man behind the business. These days its good to know there are still nice people in the world making it go around. Aaron you should change the name of your RV repair shop to Aaron The Angel RV Repair. When they got behind the wheels though they realized our rear brakes were so worn down it would be unsafe to send us back on the road. Given we had a 10hr road trip to the CA coast ahead of us, we immediately said yes let's get that fixed. Now here's where Amen Diesel really shined...they had plenty of business, they didnt NEED to take on our headache of a project, but they made room for us anyway and I believe they saved our lives in doing so. Our rig is old and rare and finding parts is incredibly difficult, but Steve spent hours hunting down the specialty brake drums & shoes that fit our camper. There were only 4 in the entire country and he managed to find them! Not only that, he talked us through the entire repair process, showed us pictures, and educated us on how to better care for it in the future. The work was done promptly and done well, and again pricing was very fair. Steve & Jason worked diligently; their knowledge and experience was impressive to witness, I also appreciate their transparency and informative communication. They showed us nothing but great character and we knew we were in the best of hands. Amen Diesel is a real gem of a mechanic shop and I know where to go anytime I'm back in Utah.
