while I was sojourning in NJ my Windex Moment 440 left ear hearing aid malfunctioned. pleasant…read moreenough staff. I left aid for repair or replacement with the mfg I was told the fee was $350.00 [even though it was still under warranty]. The aid was allegedly shipped to mfg. I respect capitalism so I did not complain the last mold replacement was only [and still is] $100.00. The technician did indicate he was not familiar with the Widex brand The problems are as follows: [a] Ascent lost the aid while in its care with a nearly 30 day lapse and [b] created a new mold for the left ear which was vastly different from the original, bulkier and had only one hole [not 2] for routine maintenance cleaning. I left store with a very uncomfortable but minimally functional R/L hearing aid set. The 2 aids did not communicate properly, I suspect because of the incorrect mold on left ear I replaced said mold when I recently returned to Florida for $100.00. What are my issues: [1] the loss of the hearing aid was ascent's negligence [not mine] [2] the mold created was improper for the Widex hearing aid which could have been ordered from mfg and [3] Ascent took no effort that I am aware of to determine the hearing was and still is under warranty lessening the out of pocket cost to me. I cannot in good faith recommend this company for repairs of Widex hearing aids. You proceed at your own peril for other brands as my observations are universal

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with the CooperCare Alliance office in Cherry…read moreHill regarding medically necessary diabetic supplies. For over two weeks, I have been going back and forth between the pharmacy, my health insurance company, and the office simply trying to obtain my glucose test strips. Unfortunately, this is not a one-time issue -- this happens every time I need refills. I have made countless calls to the office, my insurance company, and the pharmacy. My pharmacist has also contacted the office directly and expressed frustration with the ongoing delays and lack of resolution. Multiple insurance representatives have contacted the office while I was on hold and repeatedly explained that a prior authorization was required. Each time, I was told the authorization would be submitted. One representative from the office, Kathleen, specifically informed me that the prior authorization had already been submitted and that the office was simply waiting for a response from the insurance company. However, after speaking again with my insurance company the following day, I was informed that no prior authorization had actually been submitted. This was extremely frustrating and concerning, especially after being told otherwise. Today, the same process happened again. A representative from my insurance company contacted the office while I was on hold and spoke with someone named Jackie, who was faxed the prior authorization form again because the office stated they did not have the forms that had previously been sent by several other insurance representatives. Unfortunately, this is the same thing I have been hearing since last week, yet the issue still remains unresolved. I even sent a formal email to Nichelle Edwards, Director of Clinical Practice, explaining the situation and the ongoing problems obtaining medically necessary diabetic supplies. As of today, I still have not received a response. No patient should have to repeatedly advocate for themselves and endure this level of confusion and delay just to obtain essential diabetic testing supplies needed to properly manage their health. Dr. Ringel has been treating me for dry-eye and found a solution that will work with my eyes. My eyes no longer itch, look red, or have pain from constant rubbing. When I was seeing flashes of light in both eyes, Dr. Ringel saw me often and referred me to a specialist for more evaluation and to concur with his diagnosis.
