I had a disappointing experience at Houston Dental that I feel compelled to share. From the very…read morebeginning, I notified the staff that I did not want any hidden fees; I would rather pay up front. The dental hygienist used a Panoramic X-ray machine during my visit. She said she did not work there; she was there covering as a traveling hygienist. To add, the cleaning I received was not as I expected; it was over really quickly and did not feel thorough. I have had better cleanings performed in the past. Four months after my appointment, I am now being billed by Houston Dental for the X-rays, stating that my insurance did not cover them. Upon speaking with my insurance provider, they assured me it was due to a lack of transparency from the dental office. Someone in that office is not properly checking patients' insurance. When I raised concerns about frequency limitations and how they failed to properly verify my insurance coverage, Donna, Lineth, and the office manager, Brandy, made matters worse. They were disorganized and uninterested in addressing my concerns, but the real standout in terms of unprofessionalism was Britney, the manager. Instead of assisting me with my issues, she was dismissive and rude. It was frustrating to feel like I was talking to a brick wall when all I wanted was some clarity regarding my billing. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who values transparency and respectful customer service. There are plenty of other dental offices that offer both quality care and a more professional atmosphere. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

This will be my #1 spot to go to and I will pray I get Lakesha EVERY TIME!!!! 1,000,000/10.

I am so disappointed in this business. I have been going to Dr. Walker for several years. I am a…read moregood paying customer. I was scheduled for a follow up appointment to check on the pressure of my eyes. I got the text to remind me and ask me if I was coming to the appointment. I confirmed and thought everything was good to go. Two days before my appointment I get a text saying that they need to talk to me about my insurance. I tried calling Thursday, but they did not answer the phone. I called again Friday morning. My appointment was in the afternoon on Friday. The receptionist informs me that I need a referral from Tricare. Are you kidding me? If they would have told me that six months ago when the appointment was made, I would have been asking my PCM to get it done. There is no way that I can get a referral in three days time let alone in a day. The receptionist informs me that the procedure will cost between $50-$100 out of pocket. Really?!!! What am I suppose to do? She says that there will be a $40 no show fee. I ask to speak to the office manager, but she is not there. I don't go to the appointment. The receptionist said that the office manager would call me on Monday. I never got a call. I received the $40 bill in the mail. I called Double Vision yesterday which has been a month since the missed appointment and left a message asking for the office manager to call me about this matter. I called again today and when I was asked what was the nature of my call I asked to speak to the office manager yet again about this bill. I was informed that she was out to lunch. They have no problems taking my money, but to talk to me and give me customer care all they want to do is put me off. I have no confidence that they will help to resolve such a simple issue. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

I saw Dr. Timothy Ross and he was very friendly and gave me a thorough explanation, using images of my eyes, of their condition. I decided to try out contacts for the first time so Lindsey taught me how to put them in. She was also very nice and patient with me. Then I went to see the people in the frames department and they helped me pick out a pair a frames for my new bifocals. Tariq was a new employee but he did a good job helping me order everything I needed. My overall experience at MyEyeDr. was great. This business and Dr. Ross was recommended highly to me from one of my Medicare clients and I can definitely understand why now. By the way, this company is in network with Humana/Medicare PPO plans.

I've had to make two appointments with this office, and both experiences were frustrating. The…read morefirst time, no one told me the appointment was virtual -- something I can't do due to a hearing issue. The second time, I was late (my fault), but in both cases, trying to reschedule was met with indifference. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, as if they didn't care whether I was a patient or not. On top of that, a couple of years ago I needed the frames on my glasses replaced, and it took three months to get them back. I called multiple times, was told someone would follow up, and no one ever did. Eventually, they blamed their third-party vendor, but they didn't seem concerned about the delay or the lack of communication -- just business as usual. In my opinion, if that's the level of service they accept, maybe they need to reconsider who they're doing business with. I've liked the doctors I've seen here, but the customer service and follow-through from the rest of the team leave a lot to be desired.

My mother had a terrible experience with a tooth extraction. The dentist seemed inexperienced and…read moreshe didn't feel confident he drilled her tooth out completely. Then when she asked for a prescription she was told that it was available immediately at the pharmacy and refused to give her a prescription number. When she arrived at the pharmacy, she was told that the dentist hadn't sent it yet. I had to personally call twice for answers and was told two different things. First, the prescription was in the process of being sent. The second time I called I was told it would take more than an hour for it to be sent to the pharmacist. So then my 65-year-old mother had to drive back to the dentist and personally demand answers. The stress from the situation made the tooth bleed even worse. Btw, the extraction cost $500 which is an exorbitant amount considering everything that happened. Just bad communication and service from this place.
