I went to Happy Ears in Peoria because I needed hearing aids, and brought the results from my…read moreprimary care audiologist. I arrived 15 minutes early and paid a $75 copay, but my appointment started more than 15 minutes late. When I was seen, they didn't review my existing audiology report. The conversation went straight to selling me hearing aids priced at $7,500. When I asked what my insurance would cover, I was told they couldn't get an answer yet, but I could pay the full amount and they would send me a check for whatever insurance eventually paid. I chose to wait for the insurance information before deciding. Three weeks later, I still hadn't heard from them. I left feeling that the visit was focused more on making a high-priced sale than understanding my needs, and that my $75 copay had been wasted. I went to Costco instead, where I paid $1,699 and received additional audiology testing to check whether anything had been missed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Happy Ears. I will also be disputing my $75 copay for not receiving anything from them except someone trying to make a commission.

We should have moved Mom's care from Metro a couple of years ago. I believe Metro was sold and the lack of care and expertise kept getting worse. I had high hopes of it being a completely different experience due to Dr. Zavos' reviews, and it most definitely was. He was fantastic! After many decades of drumming and taking every opportunity to see the awesome bands of my day, my…read moretinnitus became more than a minor daily annoyance. I knew I needed help with my tinnitus and hearing loss, but I didn't want to be one of those persons who spends a gob of money on hearing aids, then doesn't use them. And here's where Dr. Kelly Hanscom really helped me out. I sport a shaved head, so it's not like I have luscious locks to help hide hardware behind my ears, so I really wanted to go with jamming the whole shootin' match in my ear. Dr. Kelly advised me on the available options and clearly explained the pros and cons of the different styles of hearing aids. I used a set of loaner hearing aids until my ordered units came in. Dr. Kelly tuned the loaners (and then my person devices) so that I would receive greater amplification of the frequencies in which my hearing is deficient. But she didn't overdo it. This seems to be where a lot of new hearing aid users experience frustration. I've heard several people say, "I'd wear them, but they're too dang loud!" Dr. Kelly artfully managed the acuity and volume of my hearing aids over the course of three months. As she explained, if a new user gets too much volume at first, it can be "jarring." That's the perfect word. So, over the course of three months, Dr. Kelly eased me into the "power" of my new hearing aids, and she also spent plenty of time ensuring that the fit is perfect and that I understand how to maintain and care for my new devices. I love wearing my hearing aids. It's been four months. The tinnitus therapy is wonderful! In fact, my wife can tell by my mood at the end of the day if I have been wearing my hearing aids. Without the tinnitus therapy, she says I am noticeably more anxious by day's end. And don't forget to say 'hello' and be nice to Franchesca at the front desk. After just a few visits, she had my name down and she regularly offers me cookies when I visit. Don't struggle another day with your tinnitus and hearing deficiencies. It's not only affecting your quality of life, but it's also affecting the quality of life of your family, friends, loved ones, and co-workers.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude for Cassandra B. (PA) and the care she provided…read more I initially saw her for a completely different concern, but instead of dismissing my symptoms, she took the time to truly listen and understand what I was experiencing. She asked thoughtful questions, was incredibly thorough, and ordered the testing that ultimately led to the discovery of a para-ophthalmic aneurysm on my internal carotid artery. That decision may very well have saved my life. What impressed me most was that Cassandra did not take the easy route. She listened, investigated, and trusted her clinical judgment. Because of her diligence and attention to detail, a serious and potentially life-threatening condition was identified when it otherwise may have gone undetected. Cassandra is compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about her patients. She makes you feel heard, respected, and valued. In today's healthcare environment, providers who take the time to truly listen are rare, and Cassandra is one of those exceptional clinicians who goes above and beyond for her patients. I will always be grateful to her for taking my concerns seriously and for being the reason my aneurysm was discovered. She made a profound difference in my life, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a provider who combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion. The office staff are also wonderful--friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. Every interaction has been positive. Thank you, Cassandra, for your dedication, thoroughness, and the outstanding care you provide every day. This review is for the Phoenix AZ office on Bell Road NOT Glendale Location.
