First time visit, stopped in for lunch. Service was prompt and welcoming. The space is bright, open and comfortable. It's wide open, so it's a little loud, might be best to avoid if you are looking to have a private conversation or need the surroundings to be quiet. I tried the chicken curry soup and the lasagna. We were glad to see another restaurant on the NWA dining scene that wasn't a chain or all about chicken. Mirabella's is a nice addition but falls a bit short of crave-worthy. Comments regarding the noise levels in the main dining room are well taken. We opted for the patio which was pleasant enough but would benefit from some aesthetic touches (potted plants?), given the strip center and construction views. Service was pleasant if a bit spotty. We had to ask for silverware and dish pick-up and other details were a bit sluggish. Not a deal-breaker. We overcame our initial resistance and ordered the barbecue carrots based on reviews. They were original and absolutely delicious. Never had anything like them. The "Edgar Winter" pizza had a really nice crust and, as much as most people love cheese, we found it to be excessive - the pizza was weighted down with it and, given the initially-crispy thin, bubbly crust, we would have enjoyed a lighter touch with the toppings that would have kept it that way. As it was, we left with that "wish we hadn't had that last piece" feeling. We were so glad to see multiple white wine selections by the glass that weren't the "usual" yet it was the wine experience overall that disappointed the most. Everything that seemed to be so right turned wrong on closer observation/experience. First the glasses - they were Riedels (yea) but an odd, high-capacity, awkward double-barreled version that 1. Drew even more glaring attention to the SKIMPY pours (at $10 a glass, filling the very bottom of each) 2. Took a one-odd-shape-fits-all approach to every varietal, white or red. 3. Were just unpleasant to use with the "double wide" centers and narrow openings. Also, with such a variety of options, and with the wait staff unable to give wine guidance, the menu would benefit from a segmentation ("fruity," "full-bodied," "dry", etc.) or flavor description that would help narrow down the choices. Just left after a bland dinner and odds of my ever returning are zero. As one other reviewer noted, yes, there is a weird mural of a little girl on the back wall, whom I assume is Mirabella. But what I find even more strange is there are Italian dishes written all over the mural, none of which are available at the actual restaurant. The food itself washed over me like nothingness. The meatball appetizer had all of 3 meatballs on it. The free foccacia was cold and dry and served with a very bitter olive oil. Finally, we had the salmon and the Edgar Winter Pizza as our entrees, both of which fell flat. How can a pizza with whole cloves of garlic on it have no flavor you ask? We recently revisited Mirabella's at our daughter's suggestion as she was visiting and had said that several changes had taken place since we'd first eaten there. We'd initially tried this restaurant on it's first night and were quite underwhelmed. I reluctantly agreed and I'm ever so happy I did! The outdoor dining was spacious and comfortable and the menu has been significantly altered from our initial visit. The family sized portions encouraged sharing and added to the pleasure of eating and sharing food as well as conversation. Our waiter, T.J was well versed with the menu and affable but non intrusive. We had the Mirabella and kale Caesar salads along with the BBQ carrots and they were delicious. We followed with the spaghetti and shrimp pesto pizza which were comfort food items in the best sense. For desert we had the bread pudding, chocolate pastry and lemon meringue pie. Couldn't have been better! I highly recommend this destination. Just be sure to take your family or friends as you'll need help eating it all!! read more

Owned by the same people who run Tavola and Table Mesa, this place has the same problems as many of the restaurants in our area: most of the food is overly greasy, too rich, and with extra extra cheese. We were hopeful about a new Italian restaurant on the scene, and this place has an okay concept (I am personally a fan of any new restaurant we get that isn't a chain), it's just that they've gone out of their way to make the food as unhealthy as possible. Even the salads are swimming in dressing. If you want Italian, this is still probably one of the more solid places to go in the area, but we really need to raise the bar for good food and fresh ingredients in NWA. read more

Dined here for the first time last night and we loved it! My husband and I both avoid wheat, so it was nice to be able to sub out the zucchini noodles for any of the pasta dishes. We had the brussels sprouts appetizer, and it was delicious. We also asked for bread with marinara sauce, and they brought that as well as an olive tapenade. Both were delicious. I had a pasta dish that was called something like the grand Hotel or great hotel that came with filet mignon and asparagus. I loved it. We had a Limoncello pie for dessert, which was very tasty. The only thing we did not care for was their in-house made Limoncello, which honestly tasted like Lysol. They were kind enough to take that back and remove it from our bill. read more

Tried hard to like this restaurant by the same owner as Tavola and Table Mesa. This one fell way short of expectation. Portion is ridiculously small. The not freshly made pasta wasn't cooked right with obvious water still dripping on the side. The sauce was watery and for some odd reason Jalapeño was used to "spice" the sauce up. It's a failed attempt at best to cook Italian food. The only saving grace is the service is still acceptable. read more

First visit for dinner was nice. I wanted to be safe and had the Brussel Sprouts and Short Ribs side dishes. Our server recommended their brunch and so the following week we brought the kids (some very picky) and they love it. I had the missionary pasta, but they were out of meatballs, so they served it with a bolognese sauce. The sauce and the dish, with spinach and mushrooms, was outstanding. The pasta itself didn't impress me much; tasted like it was standard commercial box pasta, which is the reason for only three stars. I am too used to Tontitown pasta. And the price was a bit high ... $16 for pasta is pricey in my book. Good for the restaurant, I guess, if they can get it. And they obviously can get it; the place was packed on a Wednesday evening. They do have some good food and beverages, don't get me wrong, but I won't be back to eat here. Our first time was great, just my husband and I. Flavors were good. I like a small plate concept because I like variety. Fast forward a few weeks. Took my parents. Our pizza was not cooked or cut well. They took care of it. There was an issue with one of our dishes. Instead of getting a manager or trying to take care of it, the server was rude and just made exuses. When you have a $200 dinner bill, I expect them to make it right. My husband and I tried Mirabella's Table this weekend with some friends and it did not disappoint. We got in around 5 on a Friday and there was no wait (I know what you're thinking - then how could it be that good???) but just hang with me for a sec! Our server was super if not overly attentive and friendly (he brought extra bread without hesitation - winner!) and brought us new drinks before ours were even halfway done. He was knowledgeable about the food and quick to give recommendations (I love that). We all shared the Brussels sprouts and stuffed meatballs apps and they were AH-mazing. My Hubbs and I shared the Bushwick pizza and it was delicious and perfectly sized for 2 people. The only thing keeping from me giving a 5-star review is the fact that our server didn't ask if we wanted dessert (Hello! I love me some Tiramasu!) and the salt shakers. If you've been to Tavola (their sister restaurant) you know what I'm talking about. A big, blue cardboard salt shaker. Ugh. I hate those things. Each dish is so flavorful. The menu had a good variety as well. I started with the crispy artichokes at the suggestion of my server and they are delicious. A bit of a citrus flavor with a nice balance between the crispiness of the artichoke. The fettuccine ragu had a great flavor as well with a nice basil and creamy tomato sauce. Overall an excellent dinner. My only complaint is that there is a bit of a lack of ambience in a large open room which makes it a little loud for conversations. read more

Don't bother. First we called to see if they took reservations. They said no, but will put us on a priority list which will put us ahead of walk-ins. I don't know how that is different from a reservation, but okay. So, that didn't happen. 1/2 hour wait, which is not bad for a walk-in at a busy place. After we were seated, the waitress came over and and explained how they work. You order, and when your food is done, they bring it out. They do not hold your food under heat lamps (ok, good?) until everyone at your table has food ready, they just bring it out whatever is cooked. Interesting concept. They also bring out extra plates and encourage you to share your food with whomever else you're eating with. I mean, if I'm in the mood and want to share, usually it's done when everyone has food and the plates are being passed around. But if a meal isn't ready and someone has to eat alone while the other watches you, big fat no. Everything is a la carte. Which means if you order steak, you get a steak. No salad, no vegetables, nothing. They did bring 3 slices of buttered, toasted Italiaan bread and a spoonful of pomodoro sauce. We tore the 3rd piece up in order to share. They should have made it either 2 slices, or 4 slices. I wasn't interested in what my husband ordered, so when his fra diavolo came out, I asked him to please eat, which he hated doing and ate very slowly. The waitresses haven't figured out yet how to tell which table is which. I saw them walking around with plates, stopping at tables and moving on with the food. One waitress came by our table and tried to give us a chicken dish. I told her we didn't order chicken. A few minutes later she came back and said "It's breast meat chicken. I know you ordered this." I just said we didn't order any part of any chicken, I was waiting for lasagna. She huffed and walked away. About 30 minutes after ordering a other waitress came out with my food with apologies. She said she was so sorry about how long it took and they would take the meal off our ticket. I laughed and said, "so they forgot about me?" She simply said "yes" and started to walk away. We called her back and asked her to fill our empty water glasses, get a refill of wine for my husband, and a new glass of wine for me. So I chose my wine and she said, oh that one is still stuck in California. Forget it! So she offered a few samples to help me choose something else. So the lasagna was hot and bubbly on the outer edges, but on the inside, the cheese was already congealing and cool. I picked up the knife from my plate, which was laying across the lasagna, and I got sauce on my hands, it was so messy and I had to wipe it off with my napkin. So, no it wasn't fresh out of the oven. When a waitress came by to see how my food was, I said it was cold and couldn't be eaten, just bring a box. She took the dish back to the kitchen to pack it up for me with more apologies. And for our trouble, they took off both meals from the ticket. We never got our water. We were never offered dessert or coffee. They just brought us our ticket. Yes, they took off the food, but we had to pay for our wine (understandable) $30+tax. Then we had to wait some more before our original waitress came to take the money. She passed us 5 times before she stopped at our table. Long and short... don't go if you're in a hurry. Don't go if you don't want to share your food. Wow! The first few times I went to Mirabellas I was very disappointed, but after a few short months they have really turned around. The food has always been delicious, but now the meals are much more consistent in that the quality is always there. The small plates are there if you want them, but the entrees are more like entrees and less like tapas. Honestly the food is good no matter what you get but the pizza is especially delicious with its bubbling crust and perfectly melted cheese. The service was great, the waiter was always one step ahead. Fast service without feeling rushed. A huge improvement from the first month. The layout of the front "market" was changed making it feel more like a place to browse and additional items were added. The decor is still a bit out of place but overall the entire restaurant has improved drastically since it first opened. I'm very glad to see Mirabella's turning into another great local restaurant like Tavola and Table Messa. read more

We came for brunch on Sunday, overall it was good - but (and this is a pet peeve of mine) they say brunch is until 3p, however the omelet station and French toast station closes at 2 (or a little before) and they had ran out of a lot of items when we got there at 1:50p. So you still pay the full brunch price with limited items. I suggest going early. To me, if you say you serve something until 3, you should be prepared to serve the menu until that time. However, the food was decent for a buffet type environment and we may go back again, albeit at a much earlier time. read more

The smell of italian food hits you as soon as you walk in and the drink menu is expansive. The staff is incredibly friendly and they made a team effort to make sure our drinks never ran out. The mirabellas pasta and salad were excellent. I wish they were in Little Rock! read more
