I called Medics USA and they informed me that they would check on it. I called my pharmacy and visited in person and they assured me that the doctor had not sent ANYTHING to them yet. I called Medics USA 6 times and couldn't get an answer until i blocked my number and selected the option saying that I was another doctors office calling on the automated machine. Only then did someone at the front desk answer. Then the doctor finally submitted my prescription at 6:40pm after they tried to gaslight me that it was done 4 hours earlier. Neither of them apologized at all. I will NEVER be visiting this office again.

Not once was I ever told the cost of services prior to any visit. This goes against the No Surprises Act of 2022. I have already reported One Medical to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I have requested they adjust my bill accordingly, but I keep getting bills via email and mail. I even called at the beginning of 2022 to confirm my new insurance was accepted, and they confirmed it was. They used to be an amazing practice, but things have severely changed. I will not be renewing my membership even though I've been a member for years.

She prescribed two medicines ( including several other combinations) that should not have been prescribed because I have had approximately 20% drop in my kidney function by taking it. I informed her that I stopped it in August 24 because I was having heart palpitations. She was trying to treat blood pressure and improve kidney function with one medication. I did not pick up one of the medications because it had been red flagged by the pharmacist. He advised me not to take it. My last visit to her in January 2025 lasted for about five minutes of her time. She told me to come back in February in spite of the fact that my blood pressure was now normal because she had honored my request to double the original blood pressure that I have been taking for over 50 years. I missed the February appointment because the cab did not arrive. That was a good thing for me because she then denied my two prescriptions (meanspirited), saying that I had to come in. Meanwhile I had to go to several doctors for other ailments like severe ear infection, wart and muscle spasm--and to the emergency room for elevated blood pressure. I sent her a photo of the reading and she lowered it in her notes. My blood pressure is fine and I am now trying to reverse the kidney function. I complained to George Washington University Primary Care and they were complicit.

I know some are frustrated it's no longer a walk-in clinic, but once you're a patient, it's fairly easy to make appointments, get refills, etc., through MyChart. I would definitely recommend and am happy this place is part of my healthcare team.

During the exam, I felt the doctor was not listening to my guidance about where the pain and swelling were. When I tried to help point to the correct area, the doctor reacted by scolding me and telling me not to touch her hand repeatedly, and kept on going on about not touching her hand...instead of focusing on examining the affected area. If you feel the need to be pretentious during an exam, let me remind you: it's my body. If you're touching the wrong spot, it's a privilege for you to even lay hands on your patients. Listen, pay attention, and stop chastising the patient for trying to help guide you. Some people are clearly working in a hospital for all the wrong reasons... This review is for GW University Hospital (GW) and not for the outstanding Medical Faculty…read moreAssociates (MFA) who treated me for cancer. In early 2024 I was diagnosed with cancer and required lifesaving sinus and brain surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy to address a tumor. At the time, I was a federal employee and I had good medical insurance through GEHA which is in-network coverage accepted at GW. My insurance which I fortunately had at the highest level of allowed coverage, limits my maximum out of pocket expenses to $6000 for in-network expenses. When I went into GW for my surgery the hospital required me to pay them $4000 up front to cover my remaining out of pocket expenses or I would be sent away without getting the required lifesaving surgery. As treatments progressed insurance claims were submitted both by GW and MFA (the doctors). However, the MFA never asked for money until the claim was processed through insurance, they only billed what the EOB said I owed, and I paid all my obligations to the MFA under the terms of my insurance. When all the EOBs for GW were processed for 2024, it showed GW had been overpaid $1896.49 because I hit my max out of pocket before GW submitted all their claims. I have repeatedly called GW billing and they have refused to provide accountability to how my $4000 payment was applied to billing and they have refused to refund the money they have been overpaid. Also due to an error on a submitted claim by GW, GEHA initially denied part of one of my authorized radiation treatments in the amount of $760.77 which I had to appeal to GEHA to fix since GW didn't fix the paperwork and resubmit (staff in Radiation Oncology at GW let me down). It took about year and a half for and maybe 30 calls GEHA to finally get the claim fixed and GW paid (GEHA customer is very poor). I recently reached out to the DC Office of Health Care Ombudsman to see if they can resolve the matter before possibly seeking a remedy though DC small claims court. Anyone seeking treatment a GW should consider this feedback prior to care at this hospital.
