On Friday, I called my primary care doctor first. They wouldn't test me unless I had fever over 104 AND known exposure to a confirmed case (see my review of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic). So, I called the state hotline. After 1 and 1/2 hours on hold, I spoke with someone who was a great help. She said I probably needed to be tested based on my symptoms. She gave me several testing locations addresses and the hotline number to Vanderbilt. The screener looked up my chart from a previous visit and said a doctor would call back same day. Within 30 minutes a doctor called me. He screened me and said I should be swabbed. The nearest location as in Nolensville and it closed at 7:30. At 5:45 I decided to drive by to see how busy they were. I thought it was a long shot. No cars in the front parking lot. I wondered if they were closed. I went in and there were no patients! I got in right away and was swabbed. Everyone as so nice and helpful. I am so grateful for their caring, high-quality device. I was so relieved to get tested I could cry. The entire experience with Vanderbilt was excellent. PS the swab goes very deep in each nostril, not pleasant. I think they swabbed my brain lol.

I never expected to be writing this, but after five years as a patient of this practice, I feel…read moreit's important to share my experience. I've been a parent for ten years, and for the last five of those years, we have Silver Hill Medical Clinic as our primary care office. Anyone who knows me or has followed me for a while knows that when I find a provider I love, I am incredibly loyal--and that I am also a very strong advocate for my children. I don't take speaking publicly about medical care lightly !!! We began seeing this practice at the start of COVID, and Dr. Sandy became my trusted primary care provider. She walked with me through two second-trimester pregnancy losses, the mental health crisis that followed, and many deeply vulnerable seasons. Over those five years, this office has seen all four of my children, including multiple visits when they were infants and toddlers. I always felt heard, remembered, and genuinely cared for by Dr. Sandy herself. Unfortunately, a recent experience with the office staff completely shattered the trust I had in this practice. When I called seeking care for my 10-month-old--who they had turned down earlier that day when my husband brought her in. (But she had been seen at this office just weeks prior). I was told they "do not see children under two" and that this has always been their policy. This policy has never once been communicated to me in five years of care, despite clear medical record proof (posted public and pinned on my personal page) that they have repeatedly seen my babies and young children. When I expressed my confusion and frustration, I was repeatedly told they had "made an exception" at her recent visit, even though this was never mentioned at the time. The staff showed no empathy, insisted the policy had always existed despite the documentation, and ultimately hung up on me. If this truly is their policy, I can respect that--but being turned away without warning, CONTRAINDICATED BY YEARS OF RECORDS, and treated with such dismissal was incredibly upsetting. What has been most painful is the complete lack of follow-up. After years of loyalty and deeply personal care, Dr. Sandy did not call, did not message me directly, and made no attempt to address what happened outside of the message you see below. I waited through the holidays, hoping to hear something. I never did. Even a brief portal message was unsigned and impersonal. Losing a provider I once loved and trusted is devastating. We will not be returning to this practice, and I can no longer recommend it--especially to families with young children. I'm sharing this with documentation so others can make informed decisions about their care.

The price is very reasonable compared to other offices in the Nashville area, which immediately put me at ease. 2. Dr. Steve Samudrala is incredibly kind and professional. He treated me like a regular patient, not "just an immigrant going through paperwork." He genuinely cared about my well‑being and even took time to give me thoughtful advice about some health conditions I have. That meant a lot to me. 3. The immigration team is absolutely amazing. Morgan scheduled my appointment over the phone and was so nice and patient -- she made me feel much better about what can be a very intimidating process. Amber is such a wonderful woman. She turned what could have been a boring and stressful immigration medical procedure into a great experience. On the day of my exam, I actually made two mistakes on my paperwork (completely my fault -- I misspelled my name first, then added an extra number to my passport number ). I can laugh about it now, but at the time I was overwhelmed with work, life, and immigration stress. Amber and another newer team member helped me redo my paperwork twice without any frustration, only kindness and support. They truly saved my day and made everything so pleasant. My USCIS application has now been submitted for about a month, and I'm very grateful I chose this office. Thank you to Dr. Samudrala, Amber, Morgan, and the entire team for making such an important step in my immigration journey a positive and supportive experience. I truly appreciate you all.
