When in a pickle, I have had reason to use Minute Clinics at CVS a couple times over the years. Most of the time it is when I cannot get over the hump of the flu/cold after many days, I cannot get to my regular physician and I am pressed for time in my life. It can be a challenge when I do not have an appointment that I would have scheduled on the CVS website, but my advice to a walk-in is be the first on the walk-in schedule for a day if at all possible. It is worth showing up early when they open, because as the day goes on they refuse walk-ins when they are booked and busy. Always know it is best to have an appointment. This was a couple months ago that I was sick and needed care. I walked in as a walk-in at 8:30am and was called in at 9:40am, with people ahead of me with appointments. Wait times happen, welcome to healthcare in America, so come prepared with your I-phone, or laptop or a book. The wait is a small inconvenience to knowing I will get scripts to make me feel better in the coming hours/days...I need to get on with my life. Lou is the medical person that I have seen on several occasions when I need the MinuteClinic. I actually remember her from the Walgreens clinic across the street where she worked many moons ago before Walgreens closed that part of their pharmacy and stopped offering quick care. She is efficient, professional, quick to diagnose, compassionate and gets me out the door with a script promptly, all while I feel like she was not rushing. A script that I can then easily fill right there are the CVS pharmacy. Very convenient. Waiting area is relatively spaced out with chairs and you can always be standing further away near the retail space if germs are an issue. There is no person to check you in, you check in on their kiosk portal in their waiting area. I have gone the route of Telehealth with CVS and due to misdiagnosis, had to walk into the CVS clinic after about a week of no progress in recovery. As such, I am glad this location is here, with a real person like Lou to assist when I am pressed for time and cannot really get in to see my regular physician. read more

My husband has been trying to get in to see someone at the Henderson CVs MinuteClinc on three different occasions but the check-in process is inconsistent and wait time is about 1-2 hours for walk-ins. He went this morning and the check in said, walk-ins welcome. He tried to check in and at the end, it said no walkins available. When he stoped the check ins, the kiosk said, walkins welcome. He did htis several times w/o luck. Third day and no help. He made an appt. but I highly recommend not doing a walk-in as it is a crap shoot. Had a pretty bad experience here with the nurse Marina. I was visiting for a simple ear wax cleaning. She rammed the tool in my ear way too hard and then said the wax is far in and I should try myself with an ear wax removal kit. She was a bit reckless and not very friendly. Will pick another location next time. read more

I went to Minute Clinic, on Ft. Apache, for the first time a few days ago. I was super impressed. I made an appointment in the morning for an appointment later the same day. There was nobody there to greet you but you just log into the computer to let the medical professionals know you are there. I do not know if they have doctors and nurses but the person I saw was an NP named Sarah according to my paperwork. She was awesome! She diagnosed my situation, gave me a suggestion to modify the medicine I am taking slightly, and gave me ideas to improve the situation going forward. I was in and out in 15-20 minutes. I have only been to one doctor's office since moving to Vegas and was very unimpressed. This visit to Minute Clinic was a breath of fresh air for me. I will definitely be back for things like colds, allergies, etc.... Five stars all the way! read more

I came here on Monday, the 16th to be seen for a UTI. I've been here numerous times in the past, so the Nurse knows who I am, the Store Manager, Pharmacist, and some employees all know me as this is my primary location. Well needless to say, the Nurse asks me to use a cup to test for the UTI and afterwards to be seen by the Doctor. The Doctor was straight up unprofessional in demeanor and respect! She stated while sitting with my two kids I do not see men for UTI's only women, I told her I have been seen here in the past well over 6 times for UTI's. She began to argue about where on the main website does it state UTI, I told her it is under illness and she looked herself and saw I was not being dishonest, but still called me a liar by claiming I was never seen here, but for stomach problems to which I was never there for stomach problems. She is then went on to say I still cannot see you or treat you. I asked her why I could not be treated for a basic UTI as she is a Doctor and she began raising her voice and saying I am not seeing men! I told her first off not to raise her tone with me as I was not being anywhere disrespectful nor dishonest, but all I needed was an antibiotic as my primary care was booked out for 3 months. She did not care and she continued to make claims about not being seen here as I have literally proof from past visits. So instead of literally arguing with a pos I grabbed my kids and walked out! I notified their Corporate Offices and of course they do not return calls, but will take the complaint, I also notified the Store Manager, and Receptionist there who all again know me, of what took place. Here's the kicker, this Doctor has numerous complaints of unprofessionalism and disrespectful comments made by her, how I found this out, was simple, the Nurse, the Receptionist, the primary Supervisor that day in the Store, and the Store Manager! Yet they keep this crap Doctor there and continue to show how these words fell on deaf ears! There also is not one single area on the website that says they see only women here. The Doctor could've shown at least a little understanding and compassion by apologizing or recommending another nearby office that accepts my insurance and UTI, but nope she blasted off on a tirade of disrespectful comments, asking me in a unprofessional tone to prove her wrong on her computer, had me urinate in a cup only to deny service! My son needed a tetanus shot. Made appointment for 11:20. The online schedule was wide open and had appointments every 10 min. Arrived to a packed place. Half of the patients were hacking and sneezing. Not covering their mouths and no one made them wear a mask. It was disgusting. Why don't they sit in car and text when their turn? No germ management whatsoever. Signed in at 11:10 and at 1PM we were number 1 on the wait list. One hour and 40 min past our appointment. The providers kept taking everyone else ahead of us and I asked why they don't go in order. The provider said some cases were more urgent then others. It's not an ER. If that urgent they shouldn't be at a pharmacy. I said we were there an hour before everyone that had gone in and she said someone will get to you eventually. Then got mad and started ranting about how she wasn't even going to get a lunch. How is that our fault? We made an appointment. Showed up on time. And paid in advance for the visit. I couldn't stay another minute and get coughed on so walked out. Went to urgent care and waited about 5 min. This place is clowntown. Get a manager and figure out how to run a business. I had to get a titer test for university admission and it's next to impossible to get someone on the phone to learn results. There is a call center and you can't access the provider at the location directly. After a month of trying they finally told me about accessing results online. They never told me at the initial appointment nor in the 10 subsequent phone calls I made. Even after getting an account the website kept shutting me out snd I had to create another account. Then they suggested the app. But it took beyond my entire link break to get it worked out. Very frustrating. Won't ever go back snd don't recommend. read more

The CVS store that this clinic is in was in the middle of a remodel or maybe they were just unloading their truck? Either way- there was stuff everywhere blocking many of the isles. The NP I saw was fine, not very personable, but whatever I just want to feel better. She prescribed me a medicine- I went to the pharmacy there at the CVS. Not the most pleasant or personable people working the pharmacy counter. Went to check out at the front register while waiting for my RX- the cashier was too busy helping someone find coupons to notice/acknowledge that there was a line building up. Anyways, the meds the clinic prescribed made me even sicker- and trying to get back in touch with the NP is basically impossible. You get sent to a call center where again, not personable, and just tell you they "sent a message for them to call you back". Three separate times they told me this! Mind you- I already had to wait 24 hours because they were closer for Labor Day, whatever I get it, but we're approaching 48 hours with no response. $139 for them to see me and diagnose a sinus infection and prescribe antibiotics and I can't even get a call back??? When I called the customer service line again, they said the practitioner HAD to call back by end of business. When I asked what are next steps if they do not, they just said "uhhh they have to". Well, I never received a call. Save your money. Download an app called "K Health". $20 and within one hour I had a new prescription for something that doesn't make me sick. Extremely sick. Was told a prescription was sent to my neighborhood CVS. Called the neighborhood CVS and they have nothing. Called the pharmacy at the CVS where I was seen and they said they could be of no assistance because they are separate from the minute clinic. Was advised to circle back to the minute clinic tomorrow. I can't wait until tomorrow. I need my prescription now in order to begin on the road to recovery! I'm plagued with constant sinus problems usually triggered by fragrance. I no longer wear jewelry, I wear colorful masks with charcoal filters around my neck so at least I can pull it up and have a chance to get away from the offending toxic cloud before I get that punched-in-the-face feeling. After a couple of weeks of going through my usual arsenal of treatments, it was time to see a doc. Last time I went to another brand of convenient care. It was fine. Insurance changes and I think maybe acquisition of the other place led me to CVS. I made an online appointment which is really just a hold my place in line kind of thing. Grabbed my mask and was prepared to dash through a very smelly store to get to the clinic and had my saline rinse in the car to wash out all the chemicals when I was finally out. There was nearly no wait. I checked in at the kiosk and it was about 3 minutes. The nurse practitioner was awesome. New her stuff and very familiar with my problem. Turns out the sinus issue that I thought was stuck in my forehead had actually caused an ear infection. When she looked inside my ears as part of the routine exam and came away with the "yikes!" look I almost died laughing. It couldn't have been any worse if there was a dead bug in there. She explained I had an ear infection and I said "So I'm getting both antibiotics and steroids today, huh?" and she laughed and said "yeah, pretty much" I've been battling this so long I know the drill. I hate steroids but when you need them you need them. I'm just grateful to not get hassled when things get mission critical. We also had a good discussion about antibiotics because I hate them too and the side effects can really suck. So far no side effects so if the infection goes away and I continue with no problems.. awesome! The store was cleaner than the average CFS. The patient room was immaculate. I wasn't pushed to their pharmacy. I was asked "what pharmacy would you like me to send this to?" I really appreciated that! Overall really an A+ experience and exceeded my expectations. read more

I came here since I have insurance with Kaiser Permanente, and it is one of the clinics that is recommended from my insurance and abides by my plan. So, no co-pay or fees for me! I came here versus other locations that were close to my home because there was little to no wait. I checked in to hold my place in line from my phone via the CVS MinuteClinic website from home and it immediately checked me in to be there 1 minute later. So, I ended up having to check myself out because it would take me 20 minutes to drive there. As soon as I got there, I checked into their Kiosk. I was expecting there to be a receptionist, but nope. Kiosk. Make sure you read what you are agreeing to. There is an agreement that asks to keep your card on file to charge. You can disagree to this. I waited for about 5 minutes before I was called into the room by the nurse practitioner on duty. I thought this was crazy because they have the nurse practitioner doing administrative, medical assistant and healthcare provider duties. I know this because I am a medical assistant/student nurse! With that being said, my experience was overall good because I have medical experience so I know what to expect and what questions to ask. This comes in handy. Anyway, I got into the room and the table paper looked like it had been sat on, which is understandable since they literally do not have anyone to help them. So, I sat on the chair next to the nurse practitioner as she did her administrative duties and soon after asked me screening questions. After, I had a focused physical health-assessment for the reason I came in for. Before I knew it, she told me what medication I would be getting, where I would like it to be sent, and had it sent to the pharmacy within the building. Then, it was over! So, my insurance doesn't cover medications that aren't picked up within their facility but I can be reimbursed for it but I figured I would pay less via the GoodRx app. The GoodRx app stated that CVS was giving a discount but charging $10 more than Smith's. I knocked on the nurse practitioner's door and politely asked if she can send my prescription to Smith's. She sent it over without any hassle. I would come here again knowing that my insurance covers my visit. read more

This clinic is a joke and not professional at all. I made an appt online and arrived 20 minutes before my appt time and checked in at the kiosk. The medial staff was busy with the preceding patient so I was trying to let them finish. I asked why my name was no longer listed on the kiosk next patients list and I was told my appointment was cancelled because I wasn't there on time. I asked what that meant since I checked in at the kiosk prior to my appt time and was waiting in the pharmacy chairs. Apparently, the fact that I wasn't standing in front of the clinic door was enough for her to cancel my appt. This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced! Zero stars for this location!!!!!!! First of all, the website wouldn't let you check in at this particular location when we looked at 4pm. Then when we arrived just before 5pm, the kiosk wouldn't let us check in, either. All signage says the Minute Clinic closes at 5:30pm. The kiosk sign and the monitor said, "You're wait time is 10 minutes." By the time it got down to 8 minutes at 5:15pm, the clock said "zero minutes." Then the nurse came out at 5:15pm and said, "Are you waiting to come in?" We said, "Yes." Then she said, "We're closed." I asked what time they close, and she said, "5:15." I pointed to the sign that says "5:30pm". She responded with a nasty, "Well, you should have checked in." I told her the kiosk wouldn't let us. She said, "Too bad." I went online to schedule an appt for a b12 injection at the Ft. Apache location. I received no less than 5 reminders within 48hrs for my appointment at 2pm. I arrived early and completed the checkin process accordingly. 15 mins later, I'm seen for my B12 injection and informed for the very first time it has to be a prescription. None of the multiple communications, reminders, text messages bothered to mention that. Horrible customer service. The employee at the minute clinic actually told me if I didn't like it, I could go write a letter! read more

Awful. Check in online shows 7 minute wait, get there at scheduled "appointment time" workers just go in and out of rooms. Finally calls a person in, they are in the room for over 30 minutes. Now 45 minutes past appointment time and finally being seen. Update: Got my simple TB test done, make an appointment to have the results read, was told at time that making an appointment would mean I do not have to wait. Show up 5 minutes early, tell the worker I have an appointment at 4, she takes a walk in before me, who had just shown up. Now 20 minutes past appointment time. This place is a complete joke. I made an appointment on Sunday afternoon for 3:50PM on Monday. I showed up at 3:50PM on Monday, and, as instructed, I entered my confirmation code (which successfully brought up my appointment), and after entering all of the remaining information requested (including entering a credit card), I was told by the kiosk to go sit down and that I would be seen in 42 minutes. Not great, but I went and sat down. Fifteen minutes later the attendant comes out and asks me my name. I tell her and she says she has no information about me or my appointment. I ask her if she wants to see the information about my appointment on my phone and she says "no, I believe you" and then she sees another patient and tells me to enter my information in the system again. The system says my code has "expired" so I have to ask for another appointment. Wait time for that 2 hours and 42 minutes. I wait some more and when the lady comes out again I ask her if she is going to see me or is she actually going to make me wait another 2+ hours even though I had an appointment ahead of people she has already seen. She then (lies and) says there is nothing she can do about it and basically blames "the computer". Basically over an hour wasted out of my day with no relief from the condition for which I visited. Oh, and the lady told me this happens "all the time". She just didn't seem too concerned about doing anything about it or talking to someone who can do something about it. Absolutely bait switched. Asked nurse for a simple tb read sign off on a form. She has me check in and do a full evaluation so that she can charge me $30 for her initials on the form. None of which she tells me before telling me she can sign off for me. Very disappointed in the approach of baiting me in to charge for a service I have had completed several times by other clinics at absolutely no cost. This will be my first and last use of a minute clinic, I would never refer anyone and suggest using another service such as Walgreens. read more

I much prefer Urgent Care centers for small issues, instead of waiting days or even weeks to see a GP. With that said, this location did not disappoint. They opened right on time on Monday morning (8:30 a.m.) and I was one of only two inline. They have a very convenient sign in kiosk that allows them to receive all your information prior to being in the examination room. The only down side to this was it wasn't 'active' until the facility was open, so myself and the other person waiting had to wait till 8:30 to sign in. Not a big deal as it's a quick process (less than two minutes to sign in). As soon as the first customer and myself were done signing in, the nurse called in the first patient. She completed everything in less than the estimated wait time (which was 18 minutes, I was in by 15 minutes). My whole exam was painless, and very quick. The practitioner was able to prescribe the necessary antibiotics quickly and send them directly to the attached pharmacy (talk about convenience!). Additionally, by the time I walked out of the exam room my prescription was already done and ready for pick up. This put me in and our (including wait time) in a total of 40 minutes. I was then able to get to work and only miss a total of one hour. The practitioner on duty was extremely friendly and very thorough. There was no awkwardness, just a very pleasant experience. They also followed up promptly on the third day to just check in as they said they would. I'll definitely be returning to this location for any small issues! read more

I should have read the reviews before coming here. I needed titers and an MMR adult dose for school. I have Blue Cross insurance. I preregistered so there wasn't a wait. The NP could not verify my insurance. She said they don't call the authorization they only go online. You cant use the online system with my insurance it's through a Union plan. Anyway I paid $135 for the shot THEN she says that they don't do titers, they can give me a referral. The referral is $60! Then you have to pay the lab. The website is VERY misleading for titers, nowhere does it say it's only a referral. I could have gone to an instacare or my primary and everything would have been covered and done at the same place. read more

This place is the worst. The PAC refused to see my daughter after we showed up for her appointment. My daughter had symptoms of food poisoning for 3 days. She had a fever until yesterday but she no longer has a fever. All this PAC would say is; Go to ER. I can't see her or help her. When I told her my daughter has no insurance, she told me " Thats not my problem". I couldn't believe her uncaring and cold response. read more

My pulmonologist gave me a list of vaccinations he wanted me to get. He told me Medicare would cover them. I went to this Minuteclinic and got a TDAP shot. The NP checked my insurance, noted it down. At no time was I told there would be a co-pay or that it was not covered by insurance. To my shock I got a bill for $95.00. I called them, was told I needed to deal with Medicare. Good luck with that. A month later I received a letter from a collections agency. DON'T EVER USE THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU CHECK THE CHARGES FIRST! Very upset. read more

So on Tuesday my husband and I show up here in the morning. No other patients around, and a lady with long dark hair and a lab coat on greets us. My husband explains that we are both suffering from bronchitis. She said do you have insurance, yes but it's from California. She tells him its going to be 149 to 179 to be seen. She then states but its way less down the road at Procare. Odd that a CVS employee is turning away customers. She said they will be able to help us better than her. I was shocked, never have I ever heard anything like this coming out of a supposed professional medical persons mouth. Needless to say we left untreated and disgusted. read more
