From the moment we entered, we noticed a level of kindness, compassion, and genuine care that is rarely seen elsewhere. Every staff member treated clients with respect and warmth. The staff member who attended to me, Miss Melanie, was exceptionally professional, patient, and friendly. Even when I made a small mistake, she explained everything clearly and kindly. I told my wife, "Miss Melanie is truly a wonderful person." My wife said, "The lady who helped me was also very kind." A few days earlier, another lady who assisted us looked very much like Miss Melanie's sister -- she, too, was incredibly helpful and caring. After recalling an unpleasant experience at another center, we decided that even though the North Decatur location is about six miles farther from our home, we will continue to come here in the future. Our sincere thanks and warm wishes go to Miss Melanie and the entire Quest Diagnostics - North Decatur team for their excellent service and kindness. ________________________________________ ________________________________________

I left this appointment extremely disappointed and concerned by the lack of a thorough evaluation…read moreand discussion of my options. I specifically went in because I wanted medical help with weight management and wanted to understand what options might be appropriate for me. Instead of feeling like my individual situation was evaluated, I felt dismissed almost immediately. I was willing to discuss my diet, lifestyle, weight history, insurance coverage, medications, testing, and whatever else was necessary, but I was not asked the questions I expected from a provider evaluating someone for weight management. When I explained what I had been eating--for example, approximately 2 cups of zucchini in the morning, around 1 1/2 cups of green beans, and more zucchini with dinner--the doctor shook her head and told me it was too much and "too starchy." There was very little effort to actually dig into my overall diet or ask follow-up questions before making that judgment. What concerned me even more was how unwilling she seemed to go over weight-management options with me. I did not expect a doctor to simply prescribe whatever I asked for. I expected an actual medical discussion: What options exist? What might I qualify for? What are the risks and benefits? What labs or other testing should be done? If one medication isn't appropriate or covered, what are the alternatives? I did not feel I received that kind of evaluation or conversation. I also asked about a previous medication order from February. While I was being walked out, I heard the doctor asking the office staff what had happened with that order, and nobody seemed to know. I specifically asked what happened so I could prevent the same issue from happening again, but I was told the date was locked in the system or they could not see the reason. Afterward, I contacted/checked with my insurance and confirmed that a prior authorization had never been submitted. I ended up having to pursue additional information myself, including looking into labs, a sleep study, insurance requirements, and whether another doctor could submit a prior authorization. That is particularly frustrating because those are exactly the kinds of things I was hoping to receive guidance about during the appointment. I understand that a physician may decide a particular medication or treatment is not appropriate. That is not why I am leaving this review. My concern is that I did not feel properly evaluated, educated about my options, or given the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation about my health before being dismissed. Patients seeking help with obesity and weight management deserve to have their concerns taken seriously and to understand the medical reasoning behind their treatment options. I left feeling like I had to do much of that work myself. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this office for weight-management care to advocate for themselves, ask detailed questions, and independently verify with their insurance that any required prior authorizations have actually been submitted. I'm just going to get my lab results and my sleep study results and absolutely take them to a new doctor. Plus Rowena Garcia I already can go to the doctor that's helping my mom since she said she flat out can't help me with any options anyways. My husband will be coming with me as well. No more of this. Our health is more important to us.

Questions about my Stable Fracture Left Ankle before seeing the podiatrist again: Dr. Victor DeLeon…read morehas been my primary care physician now for over 20 years. He's talented, but busy. Therefore, in order to benefit most from Dr. DeLeon's expertise, I come prepared with questions by priority in writing beforehand, checking them off as he answers them. My strategy worked on 8/5/26 when Dr. DeLeon answered my most important questions concerning Stable Fracture Left Ankle before saying, "Other patients are waiting." I couldn't even get a doctor's note from him for my 8/10/26 school crossing guard job -- "Your podiatrist does that." Okay. In closing, at least doing this review was the ideal time to elevate my left foot above my heart besides sharing my experience.

Which..in itself is a Miracle here in Las Vegas. Only thing that I take offence to is the Medical Assistant/Triage nurse, Matthew? Though a wonderful person, great demeaner, kind, caring also, but lacked in the basics in taking your blood pressure reading, which is pretty shocking. Being that this could be the easiest part he performs during a Triage. He did an incorrect wrist cuff technique for my Blood pressure reading. (He left that same arm dangling, in the process, instead of holding it up at heart level.. and in turn, got a high reading) when I have Normal blood pressure, as my Baseline is normal & mostly on the low end! So, I know my baseline well, and this is just unacceptable. I found this Centerwell Clinic to be exceptional. It's large, very modern in Decor, including an Activity Center inside. Everything was very clean & neat. And the girls working in the office were very kind, friendly and curteous. A very good all around vibe I thought. I truly recommend this Clinic location for anyone.

Very little communication and follow up and does not return phone calls…read more Brought my wife here a few times to find out what was the cause of some problems she was having. She did not have health insurance in Nevada as we just moved from another state. We were recommended to get some Blood work done and we asked what the cost would be without insurance in Nevada and were told it was going to be no more than $100. After receiving a bill over $3,000 for blood work that took less than 5 minutes we went back to show them the bill and see how $100 went to $3,000. The doctor said she would have to recode the bloodwork so it would bring the cost down. After multiple calls with no calls back and visits to the office to try and get this resolved, we decided it was time to change doctors. The day of getting the bloodwork done we asked the lady at check in the cost and she wasn't able to tell us and said the invoice would be mailed later. Very bad experience with the office and would not recommend. It also seemed like there was high turnover as the person at the front desk was different almost every time we went in.
