They suggested I go to an urgent care clinic. I was very sick for 3 days before going. They tested my for COVD and flu and both were negative. The practitioner was very listless and seemed disinterested in helping me. Diagnosed viral sinus infection. Only prescribed a cough medicine and No antibiotic. Said it should run it's course in 7-10 days. 4 days later I was even sicker and couldn't function. I called my primary back and they worked me in. She said it had bacterial infection, gave a steroid shot and a strong antibiotic. Couldn't believe that CVS didn't prescribe an antibiotic. 5 days later I started to improve. Going to the CVS Minute Clinic was a total waste of time and money. They prolonged my illness not improve it one bit. I will never go to a Minute Clinic again and will tell everyone to avoid them

I woke up at like 3am with a sore throat and couldn't fall asleep, and I thought it might be strep so I made an appointment here for 9:30 hoping for a rapid strep test (followed by some antibiotics if it was positive). Got there at 9:20 to fill out paperwork (as they state in the confirmation). I wanted to be sure I was there in plenty of time for that because my insurance did indeed change. Here's where my challenge comes in... no one was at the front desk but they had a sign "be seated, we'll be right with you". Ok. Cool. Someone came out of the back and I fully expected they'd acknowledge and ask if everyone had been helped. Nope - just kinda looked around and went back to the back. Finally someone came back out - the actual front desk person and I filled out the proper things and was actually called back right about 9:40. So not bad. But... it sure would go a long way to just acknowledge humans if you're popping out. The care itself was fine. The nurse I had was lovely. Took vitals. Came back after that for strep swab. I waited about 40 mins for that to come back. Then they decided better do mono test. Fine. Too more time. Finally the doc popped in to tell me just a regular boring virus. Fluids and rest. The entire visit took nearly 2 hours. Which is obscene for going in for a rapid strep test. Prob could have gone to the ER in less time. Still giving 3 stars and some grace tho because everyone I did speak to was kind and helpful. And I know that takes a lot when you're dealing with grouchy unwell people all day.

ER doctor called in his general surgeon who specializes in colon/rectal area to tend to me and he was fantastic both during ER drainage and follow up appointments with another drainage/abscess/fissure/fistula. General Surgeon is thorough, listens and recommends best recovery for your particular health/body. Highly recommend this hospital and staff! High quality knowledge and ER nurse was very attentive and knowledgeable. Went here after Avecina Urgent Care in St Augustine was horrible and the PA did not even look at skin anal area to correctly diagnose it was an abscess that needed ER attention while in excruciating pain. Do not use that Urgent Care in St Augustine!

There are only 3 doctors in the state who can treat her for what she has. Hence, Jacksonville is one of the medical facilities one is at and we were very pleased with the Mayo Clinic. The facility is top-notch, the campus is modern, clean, and the staff is terrific. Everyone we came in contact with were helpful and knowledgeable. The place is beautiful, art everywhere, places to sit and relax, history of the Mayo family and how it all came to be, photos, and information. This was all just in one part of it where we were, the ER and Davis Building. They also have quality places to eat and even a full Starbucks here. This is a state of the art hospital with world class physicians. Walking the corridors there an air of calm knowing you or your family member are being treated by the best.
