When I went in to pick up my prescriptions Pinky (the pharmacist) was very friendly and so pleasant. Her husband was helping in the store and even asked if my granddaughter could have some candy. This is the mom & pop type of business that rarely exists anymore. I transferred all of my medications to this pharmacy because I felt very strongly I can depend on her for the medical advice I need and the personal service I want. Five stars are truly not enough for this business.

It's also a full service pharmacy where you can drop off your prescriptions and relax in the adjacent waiting room while it's being filled. There is plenty of parking and the customer service is friendly and personal. It seems like they have a long standing clientele and it's conveniently located across from OPMC. But I've had this as my regular pharmacy for several years now and never had a bad experience here! My medication is always ready within the given estimates, the prices are better than I was getting elsewhere, and the staff is always willing to help with finding discount options, if needed. In fact, it's really the staff that sets this pharmacy so far above the others. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. The pharmacists come visit me nearly every time to see whether I have any questions; in a couple instances, they've given me the heads up about potential side effects (that my prescribers hadn't mentioned) that made me feel more at ease upon taking the medication. They've also given me good advice about mitigating potential side effects, such as increasing my hydration when starting a medication that was known to have "drying" effects. They're clearly highly knowledgeable and stay up to date on new medications, as they were easily able to answer questions about a medication I was given that was extremely new to the market. Finally, they are able to explain things in a way that makes sense to a layperson like me but don't do it in a way that feels condescending. That combination of empathy and knowledge is such a relief to encounter in medicine. My only notes are that sometimes, a medication is out of stock locally (which happens a bit more frequently than it did with my previous pharmacies), but they give me an accurate availability date -- and it's always available within a day or two. And the hours are a little shorter than some other pharmacies. Not a deal breaker by any means, just requires a bit more planning. I'm glad this is my pharmacy.

She changed my address & phone number and then told me it would be about 10 minutes... I walked around the store a little to pick up a few things, returning 9 minutes later with full arms. I got to the register and my prescription was READY!! I cannot explain to the public enough that in today's society most people do not mean what they say, but Alison meant what she said and got it done!! But it doesn't stop there! We accidentally stumbled upon A1A when our normal pharmacy was closed and we were out of a prescription that we wanted filled. I called right before they were scheduled to close. The amazing pharmacist at A1A offered to stay late past closing time on a holiday weekend to provide/fill the medication because he said "I can't have a child suffer". This kind of customer service and pure kindness is so rare these days. Although the location is a little far from our home, we will be using A1A exclusively from now on. I can't thank them enough for providing medication for my little one on such short notice.
